"Hotel with an interesting heritage and right in castle district which is beautiful. Whilst it is not in city centre, the centre is easy to go to with 10 min bus ride by bus number 16. Personally we preferred the serenity of the castle district. Hotel breakfast area provides beautiful views and great to just walk around at night with a few nice restaurants around. So good to relax and soak in Budapest atmosphere. "

"This is a great hotel, small (no of rooms) but apartments are self contained and very roomy. A washing machine was a great addition to bathroom which was spacious. Shower drain struggled and when I mentioned to staff, he said he knew about it but said water goes down eventually. Also many lights and lamps but all had at least 2 of their globes missing . Just a bit slack in my opinion. Staff were all highly attentive. Breakfast selection is small but fresh and adequate. A elevator would make life with suitcases a lot easier. Location was great and much less busy than Pest side and local restaurants and public transport were great and easy to get to. Area is also very safe to wander around in at night. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Staff: Each and every staff is very welcoming and friendly. Thanks to the tall guy with glasses in the reception for the warm welcome when we arrived late at night, and even suggesting some sight seeings for our trip without us even asking. Thanks to the big guy at the reception selling us bus tickets and for booking us a taxi to the airport at 4am upon check out. He even insisted to bring our packed breakfast with us because we paid for it, without me requesting for it! Thanks to the girls at the breakfast hall for the very warm welcome every morning. Location: Not really located on the city centre but very accessible through bus (10-15mins ride). The bus stop is literally in front of the hotel! Room: Very spacious and clean room with our own mini-kitchen and fridge. I can’t even believe this is only a 3-star hotel because for me I can consider it a 5-star. Breakfast: Perfect. Their breads are soo good. The ambience (at Janos etterem) is cozy and there are a lot of food choices. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended."

"The room got the view of Parliament and Chain Bridge. It was a good location when you want to stroll at Danube River especially at night and early morning run. Castle district is also not that far, can walk 15-20 mins. The breakfast is superb, a lot of choices and really delicious. Love the white sheets and pillows are so comfy! "

"This was my third visit to Budapest and I was there because of a conference at the castle district. Because I thought the hotels inside the protected castle district were too expensive I choose to stay in the Caste Garden hotel. A swift welcome at the reception desk and some minutes later I was in my spatious room. Nice bathroom including bath. Friendly staff and good food in the linked restaurant. Bus and tram connections are nearby, but if you decide to only take the tram, you have to prepare for the climb back up to the castle hill to reach the hotel."

"2 min walk to the nearest metro station/trams. Only 10 min walk to the castle district and on the Buda side of the city so a bit quieter. Lots of nice coffee houses within 5 min walk, too. Very clean, nice bar downstairs and friendly staff. Nice city too, would recommend this hotel and city for a nice romantic break but not for children. Very happy overall...."

"You would think you walked into a interior design showpiece when you first step into the hotel and up to your room. Lovely and professional staff that made our 2 night stay a pleasant one. Location of the hotel is relatively good - it depends whether you prefer the Buda or Pest side. Whichever the case, it is right next to the Chain bridge and the Buda castle funicular. You must have a drink at roof top bar (reservation recommendation) as you have one of the best the viewpoint of the Danube river and Pest from there. I would have given a 5 star if not for the size of the hotel room (too small for better comfort) and the impractical design of the room; especially the toilet. Also, what is a tad disappointing is that I paid for a Danube view double room but only got half a view."
