Explorers can consider going for the Haruka-JR Express Ticket if this hotel was chosen. Located at the far East exit of Shin-Osaka station, APA is located strategically across a zebra crossing with a short walk and a right turn (you should be able to see the APA signboard when you take the lift down from the East exit). The hotel is located between 2 Family Marts and some cheap food restaurants around that you can explore within your budget. Though having a small bedroom and bathroom, the room is efficient as APA is advocating “using less is more” concept, providing a 165 - 170 cm couple like us everything we need. The hotel staffs were great and the cleaners make your bed and take the trash out everyday. One thing to note is that power supply is lower than other countries and you probably can’t use your Dyson air wrap or hair dryer here, nevertheless a handy hair dryer is provided. Also, there won’t be any water bottles supply after the first check in as the bathroom already provides drinkable water source. One small minor setback is that although there are 4 lifts, the amount of people checking out at 10am always exceed the lift capacity and you find yourself waiting for at least 5 - 10 minutes in front of the lift just to see yourself waiting for the next lift again. I would suggest extending 1 - 2 hours via your TV main page screen and pay 1000JPY per hour when you check out. Note during check out period, some may find plastics, blankets and sheets along the walkway a bit of an eyesore, but the cleaners always make their efforts not to block the walkway and always arrange it neatly even though on the floor (it wasn’t a problem for us). We did not try the free onsen spa but it was always crowded during the night (you can see the crowd indication through the TV), so we thought it should be good. Overall, a satisfied experience and hope to explore Osaka with APA Hotel again.

I have been to different hotels in Japan at least from Tokyo area to Kasai Region to Fukuoka. I alway try to book at an APA Hotel. If you are looking for comfort of a 5 star hotel but within a reasonable price, this hotel definitely will give you what you are looking for. Comfortable beds, good Air Condition as well as Heater. The room is always clean and the bathroom is just right. I like the fact that the water from the faucet is also potable. I will always book at APA whenever it is available when I am in Japan.

The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Hot water shower is good even in winter. Location is good but you need to know the correct exit. I am lucky to read other reviews so I know to get out from East Gate, (there is elevator although it’s not obvious) then it’s just 5 minutes walk.

Amazing! Regretted not booking APA for my entire trip”
Really amazing hotel. Check in was smooth and the hotel is clean. Breakfast was amazing and there is even spa in the hotel. My biggest regret was to try other hotel brands. I should have chose APA only.

Nice Onsen”
They have very nice Onsen for you to relax and enjoy the warmth of the Onsen water and after that you can have a hot comfortable bath. Like this hotel and will go back to stay if next time I am in Shin-Osaka station.

Great location and great breakfast”
I originally chose this restaurant because it is so close to the train station. However, I found out many hidden amenities like a great bathhouse and an amazing breakfast. Many Japanese have hotels have good breakfast but this place is one of the best. I strongly recommend it!

One of the best Hotel in Osaka for a Reasonable Price”
We have been using APA hotel when we travel in Japan. APA Hotel Ekimae is one of the best, worth the price and location. Staffs are very accommodating. Clean room everyday and the breakfast buffet is sumptious!

Good hotel”
Decent hotel for solo travellers. Hotel is near the train station, with 2 nearby family marts, 1 7-eleven and 1 Lawson. Hotel has an onsen which the guests can use, with sufficient facilities (coin laundromat) within without the need to search for facilities nearby.

Awesome hotel”
Great location as it’s just 2mins away from Shin-Osaka, with nearby convenience stores. Check-in was hassle free and room was surpringly spacious (can open both my luggages fully and still walk around the room). Definitely consider this hotel again when I’m back in Osaka

The hotel is only a few minutes walking from the Train station. Check in is fast and easy. The value is outstanding as the hotel has a public bath and amazing breakfast. I would return just for the breakfast. Strongly recommended but be aware that the room itself is very small.

1 night stay in transit”
Great location just a 2 minute walk outside East gate exit. Konbini just around the corner. Good Sento facility as well. Room is well equipped, standard to other APA properties. Smaller room which is standard to Tokyo.

I love everything about this hotel. The hospitality, staffs, breakfast, and less than 5 minutes walking from Shin-Osaka station to the hotel. Only thing that I don’t like is the room way too small. Bathroom can fit one person at a time and I am a skinny person.

Great location great staff”
Great location great staff but the middle of the hotel has no roof so once you step out of your room it can be chilly at night to go to and from the onsen/ hotel. The bed is double but maybe someone over 6ft it will be small. Other than that it’s a great hotel great service.

Exceptional”
The location is good, near JR station Rast exit and there are many restaurnats, family mart along the way. They provide Public insen which is good and 5 Laundry machines which are great! I'm comfortable with this, anyway, the check in line and process was quite long.
