The entire stay was magical”
Everyone at Aparthotel Arai Superior was fantastic, kind and wonderful. From the moment we arrived to the sad moment we left, we were thrilled with our stay. The rooms were perfect for a family of four and the bathroom was fantastic. After traveling on a cruise with small showers, the shower and the bathroom were just what my body needed to feel human again. The location was perfect, too, and was so central that we didn't realize that we were truly in the heart of the Gothic quarter. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Barcelona. Thank you, too, for working extra hard to have a cake delivered for our daughter's 16th birthday as well as the bottle of wine for us. We enjoyed both immensely. The only complaint we have is that we were not able to stay longer. Thank you for everthing.

Fabulous ”
We spent 4 nights at the Arai and couldn't have hoped for anything more. From the first moment we walked through the door we were made very welcome and it only got better from there. We had a corner room on the lower floor that was nicely appointed with a large comfy bed and plenty of space to relax. The location was in the middle of the old town so well located to cafes and restaurants. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Arai to people looking for somewhere special to stay.

Beautiful but Noisy!”
Loved this hotel, all except the noise from outside and above us. We were in room 17 that was in the corner on the first floor. We had two beautiful windows that overlooked a square and a side street. Everything was wonderful until Friday and Saturday night when we got little to no sleep because of the partiers outside, all night into the next morning. On the last night, the people above us stomped around there room starting at 5am and so we did not get any sleep on a Sunday night either. I loved this hotel room and it is beautiful from outside, but if you stay here, ask for a room on a higher floor and not facing the square if possible. Or, be prepared to just join in on the partying because sleeping will be very hard. It is a real shame because without the noise, this is probably one of the best hotels in Barcelona.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of town, backing onto a lovely square with reasonable bars and restaurants. Staff we very friendly and helpful. We were a group of guys and they couldn't have been more helpful. Few of them mentioned coming back with partners. Well done Arai!

Stunning accommodations and attentive staff”
The hotel is beautiful, just as the pictures show. It is nestled in the best place to walk to the harbor, shops, monuments, dinning and close to beautiful plazas of activity. The staff were friendly and very helpful; they even got the sauna ready for me at 10 pm after a long day! The room was just I had hoped it would be-beautiful and comfortable in every way. I booked the family room, and it was prefect for a parent and two young people. It was elegant in style and quiet inside and outside the hotel-in a very safe area to walk and eat until late into the evening. I have traveled extensively and this hotel was wonderful in every way and in the best location to explore Barcelona.

Antique Hotel in Gotic area”
It is a unique hotel, please make sure all of you like this style, because my mom could not enjoy it. Everything is very very good, the hotel is a old building which has been recognized as a monument. It is in the Gotic area, means an area with old South European houses connected by narrow roads. You may have chance to meet weird aggressive beggars and drunk men in the streets at night.

Great hotel in great location”
Very friendly staff and great rooms! Only problem with it was don't even bother trying to park a car anywhere but a nearby 24 he garage on La Ramble street. It would seem hotels could create a partnership with some of these garages so customers could avoid these ridulously high prices garages around barcelona.

A Very Special Hotel”
Our room was located on the fourth floor and at the back of this building, not overlooking the street. We did hear some background noise through the night but it was minimal. This hotel has the "old world charm" that makes you want to stay in the historical old city. The staff was so excellent and always answered our questions and gave us good directions with their suggestions. They also spoke excellent English. We had a personal tour of our room and the details of the history was explained to us. Very close to walking distance to the many attractions and the sea. We felt very lucky to have chosen this hotel!

Fabulous room in great location”
From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful and attentive. Our room was superb - we even had our own rooftop hot tub on the terrace which was a lovely surprise! The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the tube station so you can anywhere really easily. There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops on the doorstep so you never have to go far to get some gorgeous food. A perfect, romantic break away for us!

The place was great for me. It is in the center of the gothic barrio and easy to get anywhere The rooms are dkybshapped because they built in an old castle. A solid 4 star boutique hotel. But the staff was 5 star all the way.

Great hotel”
The hotel is great with comfy beds and beautiful furnishings. The staff is helpful too. But the location can't be accessed by bigger cars which is tricky if you're in a big group. If you need a taxi, you'd have to ask for one or more and it costs a little bit more because the meter runs when the hotel books it online. The neighborhood is quite notorious too, even the police says so. So be warned and be aware. Don't bring too much cash and leave your passport behind. Don't go in empty streets even if it's in broad daylight. Be wary of people who look at you and your things. Walk in groups. Our stay here has definitely been a thrilling and memorable experience.

Beautiful Hotel BUT!”
The hotel was lovely but unfortunately behind the hotel is a large square , where lots and lots of people go so the noise until 4/5am was horrendous . So we had no sleep until after they had gone whiich meant we wastest half a day trying to catch up. Also no welcome book which would have been lovely to know the history of the hotel and surroundings.

We stayed here and then returned here. The rooms are modern, spacious and beautiful. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. This is a great location -- and overlooks an adjoining square that is great for drinks and relaxation.

Excellent”
Everything was great. Cool spanish style rooms. Only criticism is that it is very loud until all hours(5am) of the night. Bar and square outside window stays active all night. Hard to sleep when someone is singing and partying outside your window.
