One of the best hotels in Semarang”
Stayed for 3 nights and as usual this hotel is very good in terms of price, cleanliness, staff, etc. The room is clean and comfortable. The bathroom provides a bath up and shower. The a la carte breakfast has a sufficient portion and delicious taste. What makes me come back to stay at this hotel every time I'm in Semarang is the friendly and professional staff. Thank you.

Old hotel with nice breakfast (for Indonesia taste), helpful staff, good room. The downside is just the towels are old and hotel interior looks gloomy but I'm not complaining as I paid with good price.

A quiet hotel”
When I arrived, i think there's only few guests so they only give package breakfast and only one elevator function. It's near 'Kota Lama' but you have to take a walk for a bit. Breakfast is okay. I feel like the hotel is quite old.

electricity blackout hours”
not good emergency respond for electricy shut down, so we have to experience no electricity at all more than 3 hrs in the very deep sleep time till 5.30AM

The Location very Strategic”
I love this place because of it's location. Living nearby an old Semarang heritage is a luxury , we can easily explore the landmark anytime, enjoy the culinaries around the place etc. As for the room itself , the space is above average but with minimum ornament , it just like a room with bed, tv, desk, lack of ornament inside the room. The hotel give us a quite complete variation of food during breakfast.

dont expect this is a 4 star hotel. ”
booked 3 rooms 23 April 2023. for 4 adult and 2 kids. arrived 7 pm after 10 hours trip. no complete amenities at bathrooms. no cotton bud. no shower cup. no hairdryer. no laundry bag.. socket on the sides of bed did not work and one room AC did not cold. and then need time to repair. why they sell the rooms to us if did not check first if rooms are OK or not for guests? then 4 am In the morning. electricity off. I saw from 9th floor .outside building electricity on. no light no AC and tried to call lobby was nobody pick up ..till a hour. I called police station to check .what was happen. because we are at 9 floor. after the police visited . electricity back on. it was nightmare for us. after long trip was expect can sleep well on the 4 star hotel. this was happen. next morning we were check out and complained. staff only said. sorry mom. ooh boy ......we just un lucky. that day

Check in took us long to wait”
It was a long wait for us to check in standing in line with only 1 staff accommodating the guests checking in. We were asked to change room for some mantenance but the AC in the new room wasnt working well so we asked for another room and the staffs were very helpful to accommodate us. Nothing special for this hotel nor the restaurant but the staffs were great!

Affordable hotel in Chinatown”
My stay in Aston Semarang Hotel was great, the staffs were friendly and helpful, the room is quite spacious. The hotel is located near Chinatown but surrounded by old and busy market unfortunately. If you are here for leisure or shopping, this hotel may not be suitable for you as it's far from city center and the swimming pool is too small.
