We booked this hotel via the Agoda secret hotel discount or something, we payed not knowing what hotel we were booking. We only get the details when the payment is done. To be honest we were not happy with the surprise at first. We were expecting a 4-star hotel with city view, 3 mins away from the nearest subway station in the middle of Kyoto town area, as in the description. We arrived without expectations and turned out it wasn't so bad after all. The staff were nice and helpful, the hotel was pretty small but nicely furnished. Considering the price that we paid, we could have booked a hotel with a better location. Overall, it's a nice boutique hotel, good staff and well equipped.

I forgot I booked a garden view and wasn’t expecting much since my main criteria were price and location. Went up to the 3rd floor, and when I finally got around to opening the curtains, there was a garden on the balcony!

We were an American couple who stayed here for 3 nights, 2 days in a double room. Clean room within a 10 minute walk of Nishiki Market. Beds are firm, 1 pillow provided per bed. Plenty of electrical outlets, but be aware that there is not a great place to sit to do your hair and makeup as the only mirrors are near the entrance to the room and in the wet bathroom (with no outlets - obviously). Room is warmed and cooled by a mini split, and bonus, it stays on without having the room key in wall slot. Overall, great value for space, cleanliness, and location.

We booked this on its discount price and we were really happy with it. The room was a good size, everything was new (controls still in their plastic bags), super clean & friendly & helpful staff. We'd stay here again, though it's price may rise based on its popularity.

お部屋はきれいですし、スタッフもとても親切でした。4つ星つけます。 ですが、一点気になったことあります。2階に置いてる乾燥機で洗った服を乾燥させて、ドア開いたら、いくつかのほっこりの塊がドアの隙間から落ちました、、ちょっと気持ち悪かったです。
