This is the best low cost hotel in Jakarta thamrin with great location. Room clean everyday complimentary 2 bottles water , coffee and tea refill everyday. Staff really nice and always assist you with smile, thank you for ibu Senni and all the staff in Cemara Hotel.

Warm welcome when I first came to front desk. The lady assist me well. The room very clean and well maintained. The breakfast decent and the price also very cheap. Compare other hotel near, I recommend cemara hotel to others.

Friendly Staffs, Ideal Location”
The staffs were very friendly. Each of them greeted us with big genuine smiles. Knowing that we are vegetarians and we don't take eggs, they took the extra steps to prepare vegetarian meal for breakfast. Room is cleaned. The bed is comfy. The hotel is very near to lot of eateries - local food and Western food. There is also a 24-hour coffee shop just a few doors away. Starbucks, McD and KFC is within walking distance. It is also a walking distance to the train station. Highly recommended. Would stay here again.

Good location, nice staff, small problems”
I booked for 2 nights and extended it with another 2 nights. Location is really good, as you can reach different part of Jakarta from a central location ( Transjakarta Sarina station is 5 min walk ) . There are good food and cafe options close by, but the room service food is also very good. My only problem was the wifi and the safety locker. Both of them didnt work on my arrival. After I called the staff about the issue, they quickly solved both problems. Worth for money.

Pros: -location since it is walking distance from sarinah mall and thamrin where you can catch a bus going to monas, fatahillah square and plaza indonesia -buffet breakfast was excellent -accommodating staff -clean and spacious room Cons: -slow wifi -worn out carpet on room Overall, i will highly recommend this hotel

Tired Old Hotel in Good Location”
I chose to stay at Cemara Hotel as it had fairly good reviews. It has a good location on Jalan Wahid Hasyim. I was given rooms at the back of the hotel which had good view of City Centre. The setbacks were that the airconditioner did not function properly. I changed room and I still face the same problem. Their towels and linens were worn out and old but were clean. An old hotel, their powerpoints were at the table and not near the head of the bed which is a requirement of the pampered modern traveller. They still have bathtubs - fairly old but looked well maintained for me to use and soaked myself to make-up for the poor airconditioning. I will probably return if they go through some kind of refurbishment works.
