Everything was clean and the apartment had most of the utilities we needed. Also, the host was helpful and understanding. The flat is near the center, but in a quiet part of Budapest. We only have nice things to say.

Great little apartment within easy walk of city centre and public transport”

The apartment was spot on for what we wanted, clean and comfortable. Location was great, 8 min walk to metro, bus stops and tram stops, 8 min walk from 100E airport bus stop. 5 mins to the danube. 15 mins to city centre. 35 min walk to ruin bars. Gellert thermal baths is a 10 min walk. 1 min walk to a well stocked Spar shop. 5 min walk to a Tesco. Restaurants and bars within 5 mins.
Apartment was a little warm for us and no way we could turn heating off, so we slept with windows open. All Apartments overlooked a central courtyard, this dod mean it could be a little noisy at night with people coming and going.

Great place, if you don't expect much”

The apartment has good location, close to the center, and you can walk basically to most of the attractions worth visiting. The photos represent the real state of the property, so you get nice accommodation, nothing really special, but very good overall. You'll find mostly anything you'll need for a few days. It can be noisy if you keep the windows open during the night (as there is no AC, maybe in summer heat you'll need), but they insulate the noise very well when closed.
Nothing worth mentioning as a negative. Just have in mind that the stairs are steep, and you need to be careful going up and down, so if you are older person or with mobility problems I guess you know better what to look for when searching for accommodation. For most it wont be a problem.

Great location but beware of the stairs”

The apartment was in a great location. Very easy to walk to from the airport bus stop and transport links. Ground floor meant no lugging luggage so very easy for that. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were generously sized. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The biggest thing you need to be aware of is that the stairs inside the apartment are VERY steep and narrow - more like a ladder than stairs. This was tricky, especially at night when you needed the toilet, which was on the ground floor. The flat would also be more comfortable with a few easy additions... there was no surface near couch to put drinks or anything on.

Minimal and convenient option in Budapest”

- The location is quite central with easy access to Metro (Kalvin Ter station - 500m) and a bus stop (50m). There was also a conveniently located supermarket next door. - There were 2 beds and it was quite comfortable for three of us. The standing fans next to the two beds were very useful too. - The apartment host was quite friendly and helpful.
The toilet was a little bit small and without ventilation.

The location
There was always a very bad smell from drains that made you want to throw up all the time, the apartment had a different sofa than the pictures which had a lot of stains, the bed is very low and the one side has a metal and a book under for support, so you will have a back pain after the first night. The apartment has only one plug near the bed but you can’t charge your phone and use it at the same time, the led lights didn’t work, if by mistake you dirty the towels with make up or something there is a case to pay for their replacement and one day there was an electricity break down so we couldn’t do anything and beacause the bathroom hasn’t any window it was very difficult to get ready without the lights and also because the entrance has a code to get in there was no way to get back to the apartment without the electricity.

The apartment is spread over two levels. On the upper level the bedroom with a double bed. On the ground floor a sofa bed, a comfortable kitchenette and a bathroom. Wifi excellent It is very peaceful and quiet. Perfect for a couple who wants to visit Budapest. Thomas was very kind and very pleasant in welcoming us. A really nice stay

Superb”

Very cosy appartment in the very heart of Budapest. It is fully equipped with kitchen. Communication with owner easy and nice, he was very kind and helpfull. Nearby, there is a subway station, many places to do shopping or eat out. Parking at the appartment possible at the street, through paid. Great place to stay in Budapest :)
The Windows of the appartment Are facing the big yard of the block of flats, you can hear everything at night.

Overall, i would say the apartment was good for the money. Clean and with a good location.”

The apartment i well located, next to a grocery store and near stops for buses, tram and metro. The beds we comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The hosts were nice and check in and out was very easy and fast.
The light switch for one of the bedrooms was in the corridor so when someone wanted to go to the bathroom later at night he sometimes turned on the light in the bedroom instead of the corridor and could wake you up if you are sleeping. There were 2 big and 2 small towels for 4 people. The 2 big ones were okay but the other 2 were too small when you are taking a shower. There are no trash cans on the upper floor so every time you need to go downstairs.

The flat is nice, it's duplex actually and the stairs are bit tricky but it's okay. The flat is on great location, near the flat is the main street with restaurants. It was clean. It is great that their is pair of keys.
It was too hot in the rooms and there was no way to turn it off. I didn't like that there were no trash bins on second floor so for everything you need to go down in the kitchen.

Although on BOOKING is advertised as CENTRAL BUDAPEST APARTMENT (without S, in singular) in fact it seems that there are 2 apartments from same owner.....the pictures you see on Booking are from both apartments but there is no way that you can understand this!!! So, we booked the apartment based on the pictures we saw and when we arrived there we were told that the pictures are from the other apartment!!! Felt really cheated !!! I have attached 2 pictures - one from Booking site and one from the actual apartment - so that you can see the difference.
