Chouchinya provides rooms with free WiFi in a prime location in Nozawa Onsen. This property is situated a short distance from attractions such as Nozawa Onsen. Simple Ryokan”
When I say it's simple, It's really simple. there's no toilet inside your room so if that's your thing it might puts you off. All toilets are shared and the owners are friendly. There's some rack to store your ski/snowboarding gear in front. Nicely located inside the small village center.

Location is good as it is just a stone's throw away from Oyu street, the main street. Toilets and face sinks are shared and limited in numbers, but are clean and surprisingly always available despite all 5 units occupied on the same floor. No English spoken by the staff, as such may get tricky while trying to get messages across. You will need to arrange for breakfast when booking the accommodation as I was unable to secure any breakfast or dinner after checking it. In-house onsen is small with split timings for both male and female, (2 hours each between 5-9pm) and as such may get overcrowded.

Owner is the best”
Everything here is perfect! I like their Japanese style room, their hot water, their breakfast, their clean toilet and the owner (old lady) who take care of us even she can't speak English but willing to help us. Before we leaving she also gave us apples. The location is in downtown area and not far from the ski entrance. I love this city and hope to comeback and stay here again. I won't forget her smiling face.

野沢温泉全体的に”
おそらく野沢温泉周辺のお宿全般に言えることかと思いますが建物の老朽化に反比例してインバウンド需要による宿泊費の高騰を感じました。つまり古くて防音ではないので煩いのに高い。特に夜間の騒音などについては街全体で旅行者に向けてのマナー周知をした方が良いのではと思うほど騒がしくてゆっくり休めませんでした。アットホームなスタッフの方々で素敵でしたがハード面での改善が気になりました
