This hotel is a great place to stay. It's centrally located on several bus routes and has a station close by. The rooms are spacious with cooking facilities and fridge. Breakfast is also served. The hotel has a laundry. The staff are friendly and helpful and all for a very reasonable price. This is my second stay and I will definitely be back.

We came back after 10 years to the same hotel. Furniture and furnishings are looking a tad old, but the service, cleanliness and close proximity to the train station is still top notch.

Bright and Airy”
The staff were pleasant and polite. The room was bright and fresh and the beds comfy. There is a laundry in the building a quite handy for that mid holiday clothes refresh. The hotel is about 3 stops away from the main Central Railway station. Too far to walk so either train or taxi recommended. The nearest train station is 1 minute form the building. Although we found we walked most places. We enjoyed our stay here. The price was reasonable and if we ever went back we would probably stay there again.

Excellent client service, rooms not that big but manageable for family of 2 adults and 2 kids, 5 & 8. We paid extra for a sofa bed. Pleasant experience and they speak good english. Near subway as well.

The decoration of entrance to the hotel is nice. There are 24 hours supermarket and 7-eleven located near to the hotel. Bus station is located within 3 minutes of walking distance. The nearest station to the hotel is gojo. The walking duration from hotel to nishiki market is 25 to 30 minutes. The decoration and appliances in the room are outdated. The pillow is extremely soft so please do request for additional pillows, if required. Room size is decent. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall, a decent stay. However, will consider to try other hotels in the future.

My friend and I stayed at the Citadines Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto during our recent visit to Kyoto. The hotel was very clean, the beds comfy, and it was lovely to have an opening window in our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was perhaps a bit far to walk from the train station (about 15-20 minutes) when carrying luggage, in hindsight we should have caught a taxi. The hotel is also about 15 minutes walk to the main shopping area, and we loved exploring the laneways near the hotel. A feature we loved was being able to transfer our luggage to our next hotel in Tokyo (we stayed at the Citadines Shinjuku) so we didn't need to struggle with it on the train to Tokyo. I highly recommend this service!

Best place to base yourself”
Citadines Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto was better than we expected. Great location, great staff, awesome breakfast for the small price you pay. Clean, spacious (for Japan), close to CBD, shops etc. Just a wonderful experience made even more better by the wonderful and attentive staff. Can't speak highly enough of this place and we will be back. Just a tip, if you are coming out of Exit 6 from the subway then turn left, got to the corner, go across the road to the McDonalds. You will see the subway exit 1 so you know you are on the correct side of the street. Walk about 150-200 metres and you will find the Apartments. Enjoy!

Kyoto Apartment style stay”
Citadines Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto is located between Kyoto station and the main shopping area and Nishiki market. Not quite in the main area of Kyoto but a subway station is literally outside taking you south to north Kyoto. The room was large, very clean and well equiped. Small kitchenette, bathroom and central vanity basin. The area does have a variety of restaurants, shops, chemist, supermarkets and I found a great cafe down by the river. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Great place to stay in Kyoto”
I really had a pleasant time in Citadines Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto. The location is one major advantage with easy access to bus stop and subway station. Besides, stores selling daily groceries are nearby. The room, on the other hand, is clean and comfortable with a lovely small kitchen. You can find necessary kitchenware to prepare yourself a decent meal, which saves some money. Overall, I really love here, and will definitely visit it again when travelling in Kyoto in the future.

Great location, helpful staff, very convenient”
My sisters and I stayed in Citadines Kyoto for 3 nights and we definitely recommend staying here for anyone who wants to explore Kyoto. The location is very convenient, Citadines is just 2-3mins away from Exit 2 of Gojo Station and is just one station away from Kyoto Station. There are also bus stops very near the area (3-6 mins away) which adds more to the convenience because there are certain areas in Kyoto that are easier to reach via bus (vs. subway). Citadines is also near a 7-11 and a 24-hour grocery (Fresco). The staff are very helpful, they have ready maps for those who need to find banks (for foreign exchange), groceries, etc. They also helped us reserve seats for the limousine bus that took us to Kansai airport. Citadines also had a laundromat available at the basement for a fee which was very convenient for us because we had to do the laundry once during our trip. We booked a twin bedroom which was good for 2 adults and paid extra to get an extra bed for a 3rd adult. Room size was ok, small but still quite big for Japan standards. Water was only free for the first night though, so be sure to buy water for the next few days (at the grocery or 7-11 nearby). We had a wonderful time in Kyoto and will stay at Citadines again when we visit again. :)

It was great staying at the Citadines Karasuma-Gojo Kyoto, love the room, I ordered lots of high quality beef and long leg crab with cheao price from interent and staff help me received and store in their frezzer before our arrival, we had great time and enjoyed cooking our own meal there, the hotel is very new and modern, this is a must stay hotel!
