Where to stay in City Center - Belváros
City Center - Belváros hotels & accommodations

Excellent stay which we self-booked prior to our Viking river cruise. The Prestige is a beautiful new hotel in a great city center location of Budapest. Reasonably priced, very friendly staff, comfortable and well appointed rooms made this a great start to our vacation. Upon check-in we were treated to an upgrade of an available suite.

We got lost on the way to hotel because of wrong postcode set to my GPS. We called hotel and Peter explained everything needed to get to right place. He also took care of parking place for my car and helped with parking tips, fee, gave feedback about to restaurant we wanted to go to and add also some tips for private trip over the weekend. He really helped to fomr my o...

mercure city center hotel is ideally located in very center of budapest, in famous vatci utca (main pedestrian street) where lot of h palaces, places of interest, restaurants and shops can be found. well known bridges connecting banks of danube river are in close proximity as well. it’s walking distance to all attractions and museums. hotel is very well managed, great...

located in the center of budapest, sofitel is perhaps one of the best choice for our stay in budapest also during our trip to europe this time. hotel is provided with all necessary facilities you would required, great fitness center with indoor swimming pool. large room and very comfortable bathroom. hotel accept 3 persons in a room with free of charge additional sofa-...

The hotel is located on the Pest side on a pretty quiet street, but just one street over is the main shopping street Vaci, and a 10 minute walk from the city center. The complimentary breakfast is beyond what I would ever expected from a hotel, with a wide variety of foods and drinks that is constantly being replenished, a coffee machine boasting different varieties of...

Everything was excellent. Especially the riverside view with the Palace on the mountain from the room was wonderful through the largest window at night. The hotel itself was also luxury and clean, with bigger size room which was very comfortable, located at the best site in the city. Staff services were also very courteous and restaurant served very good food. The ...

Stayed overnight, as others say the location is in the very center of the city, the Great Market Hall is literally just around the corner (2 minutes of walking), as is the nearest metro station. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and quiet. Breakfast selection is quite wide and very tasty (the best I've had so far in Budapest). What I have to put on a figurative pedesta...

When I was about to check in I was told there was an error in my reservation - the days was offset by one day and they had expected my arrival the day before! However, without any argument the receptionist kindly offered to correct the booking free of charge, even though the fault was not at the hotel. I was amazed they didn't use the situation to cash in a few extra $...

Don't be fooled by the reasonable price. The Museum Central is conveniently located (close to the airport bus stop and other public transport) and slap bang in the middle of the city making each tourist trip easy and convenient. The building is a charming historic period with great architecture. Don't bother booking here if you are of the posing type as you need to ...

We had the confirmation to stay at the Budapest Panorama Central located close to the city center during 26-28 April but Agoda told us the last minute to move to an alternative accommodation at the Quality Point Apartments which is only few minutes from the Opera and Andrassy Avenue and about 100 metres from the metro station Octogon. The apartments has a flat-scre...

Greetings from Pakistan!! I was traveling with my wife and a three and a half year old son. I initially booked the hotel for two nights and later on extended it for another two days. The extension of my stay was done without any hassle. The hotel is beautiful and the room had everything that we needed. The staff was super super friendly and they were so kind to us and...

Before I review this good hotel, I want to warn who reads this against a restaurant where we were ripped off. The restaurant's name is Buborék Bisztro and its address is Dorottya utca 8 (this is very near to that known square called Vörösmarty Tér). If you ever eat there, beware of prices of wine because they charged us 3500HUF = 16US$ for just a glass of wine (it was ...

this is a stripped down hotel but in a completely brilliant and functional way. Anna was amazingly friendly at the desk when we had a booking mishap but was resolved quickly. the rooms a lovely and fresh and the location couldn't be better. will be back

The staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble.. The hotel was characterful yes functioned extremely well as a hotel. The lounge was a beautiful calming oasis in a busy city. Great location. Breakfast was the best of our whole 2 week trip (5 countries). If you are considering this hotel I say book it!!

This was the first time for me to agree the over 9 rating on agora. The hostel locates in very gorgeous building and center in the city. Common space and kitchen are spacious. Free tea and coffee available. Staffs are very kind and full of hospitality..... I rate this hostel full marks!!!

I would stay here again. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room comfortable, with a touch of classical luxury, the shower was hot and powerful, breakfast was great. We asked for a kettle and one was provided instantly. The hotel is literally at a metro stop and also the city tour buses stop outside. The Jewish district is right next to the hotel too where you ca...

The host was very accommodating as we were checking in at different times and he ensure someone was there at the apartment. He also picked up my friends from the airport (for a reasonable fee) which was very nice as there was no hassle in finding the place. The apartment is located on the busy Vaci street which has many cafes and restaurants. Since cafes and restaurant...

I should start by saying the staff is extremely helpful and accomidating. When I arrive they were over booked and had made arrangements for me to stay elsewhere. (I was put in Marmara after the first hotel I was to stay at was overbooked.) The hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. However, I was a bit shocked to find out that a hotel billing itself as a fou...

A medium sized hotel on a quiet side of a busy pedestrian street. Very quiet, very friendly. The rooms are smallish but adequate, seem to be recently renovated, clean and well kept. It in the very center of the city, a short walking distance from the Danuve and City Market. No coffee/tea corner, but plenty of coffee shops around. The breakfast is good. No free wi-fi, b...

The room is very big, with inside a kitchen but not a bathroom (for all the floors, there are a toilet and another room with the bath). The breakfast is ok: tea, coffee, bread, butter, marmelade, breakfast cereals. The hostel is in the city center, near a street full of discos and pubs and a lot of Gyros's restaurant. The pleace is very quiet: no background noise.

Overall great time. I've met people here that I will continue to be in touch with in the future. The price I got for my room was excellent, and the cleaning service does their job on a daily basis. Unfortunately, if you plan to stay a long time, this hostel needs to fix their washers and dryers before I give them 5 stars. Their washers/dryers are very poor quality, and...

The room was clean and comfortable however the hotel isn't in the same building shown in the photos its about 1km away, theres a city tax and cleaning fee they make you pay after your stay even after you paid your full amount online and it states they have luggage storage online but then tell us we cant store our bags making us find another option. Overall room was oka...

I would recommend this to everyone who wants to stay in a hostel... The place is very nice, clean and its loacted right in the city center. Almost evrey place is near by. Thumbs up to the staff working here. They are friendly and helpful. Will surely stay here if im visiting Budapest again. :)

For the price, you won't find a nicer space in walking distance of everything. Just know that you need to whatsapp (good English staff) with manager to help you get in and settled. It's an apartment room not a hotel, but it's perfectly warm and comfortable with coffee and a fridge. You can walk everywhere easily and get to train in 2 mins. You get the same view of the ...

The hotel itself has really good decorations in both lobby and room. Good atmosphere. The location is a little bit away from the city center, but really close to Budapest west station, you can reach the public transportation easily. I took a train to the airport in the early morning, its cheap, easy, and convenient from the hotel. Booking via agoda is sort of cheaper.

Although it is on the river, there is no view. It is within 10 minutes walk from the main sites of the city. Easy to get to from the airport. I was disappointed with the accommodation. There was no kettle, no mugs and the cooking area was no existant. I would only stay here a couple of days, no more.

You have to check in at another location and then walk 15 minutes to the site of the room. It was not fun in the rain. When you are new to a city this is not what you want to be doing. The cost is lower but for a reason. Yes it is a good location but simple room and bath shared by 4 rooms. Nice if you are familiar but where they want you to get the key you must...

The location is very good. The metro station, post office, mini store, supermarket is just 5-min by walk. And the apartment owner, Melinda, was very kind to introduce places for sightseeing. All the things you may need are included in the apartment! I'd be back again for my next time. :)

He take me to the next appartment which far from Danube Bridge Apartment House 2 main train station. Eventhough I got the new apartmeant which have the same facilities that I have booked. But It is different location. I would like to live near chain bridge and stefen church. he told me that his room have some problem. You can book this property but you may got the next...

From the moment of booking and Melinda's fast response and personal email we knew we would enjoy our stay in Budapest. Her friendly welcome and giving us local knowledge about the best things to see and do as well as the best local restaurants, made for a wonderful time in Budapest. We would recommend this apartment to everyone. It's very traditional but so clean and ...

this is a very nice accomondation for short stay, the manager is so friendly and helpful.the location is the best in budapest.it is just in the center of budapest. there are a lot of good restaurant and some supermarket which is open till late of the night.

Wonderful location close to transit and everything you’ll need. Helpful, friendly staff with excellent, timely communication via email or on-site in the mornings for any questions. Very clean apartment that is nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again. The entrance is in an inner courtyard but is easy to find with the instructions given. Ri...

I stayed at the apartment for 4 days, 3 nights. Prior to arriving, I contacted the owner via email and arranged my arrival and check in. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The building is old but very charming with a well maintained courtyard. The apartment is clean, comfortable and comes with a fully furnished kitchen including a washing machine and microwave. There is a...

As a hotelier and a world traveler, I know exactly how well a hotel should perform based on the price that I pay. This hotel absolutely gave me more than what I paid for. The hospitality from this B&B is outstanding; their personalized service is authentic and their efforts to provide you all that you never expected from a B&B right at the heart of the city center, v...

WOW WOW WOW - THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE FOR ME IN BUDAPEST - HUNDREDS OF POSITIVES, AND ONLY 3 SMALL NEGATIVES: 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS TO SUITE, MATTRESSES A LITTLE HARD, NO PLACE TO STORE LUGGAGE BEFORE CHECK IN OR AFTER CHECK OUT - BUT OVER ALL, THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC

Walking distance to Central Market for souvenirs shopping, leather bags, embroidery stuffs & local food. Make sure to order exactly as per the menu pricing, if u don’t want a bill shock, as add ons incur extra charges. This hotel is a must for travellers, especially those whose first language is English. The reception staff are exceptional and a special thanks to Sara, Balint and Zoltan (Zo Zo) for making our trip to Budapest memorable. In terms of value for money, this hotel offers good rates at 4 star level, particularly if you book early. Rooms are spacious and clean and all am...

This place deserves more than the 5 stars I can give it. The location was about the best in all of Budapest. The owners were absolutely wonderful. The room was bright and clean and for once, a shower I could actually move around in! Breakfast was included and Carmen cooked eggs for each of us to our own liking. Everything about this place was excellent!

we very much enjoyed our stay here and found it to be a great base for exploring budapest and savoring its cuisine. the concierge staff made excellent restaurant recommendations. the hotel restaurant serves a large, gourmet breakfast buffet. the hotel is very well located near the city center, with easy access to shopping, sights, and both sides of the river.

I book the hotel for my two bosses who had a business trip on budapest The first booked is for 2 nights and two rooms But they had to extend the meeting so i booked another 1 night and two rooms I already send a message to hotel with explanation 'this is extended guess from booking code xxxxxx' I double check with agoda team and agoda team its enough to make them (...

First, the staff at the hotel are incredible. Quick to arrange anything you want. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the location is absolutely perfect, right opposite the Chain Bridge. Its the kind of hotel you look forward to coming back to. Room and bathroom are also very nice. Beakfast was good but the hot food, eggs, pancakes, etc. were a little below par. Charcuter...
