The hotel equips us with everything we need. It’s located near the centre, and it’s new and clean. The receptionists are also friendly and helpful. However, the AC can be cooler, and sometimes the water in the shower is clogged.

The hotel is in the centre and close to pretty much everything. The room was clean and quiet. Mind the checkout time (10:00), but the receptionists kindly offered to extend until 11:00 for no fee. Luggage room is surprisingly for a fee

Stayed 3 days. From arrival to departure very friendly and extremely helpful. Great room a decent breakfast. There is an Irish pub as part of the hotel which is very handy. Great location for river cruises and shops. Upmarket area.

Perfect location”
Rooms and cafe are renovated in 2020 and up to date. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The reception and breakfast room are ok, but are outdated. There is quiet and no traffic in the street and the nearby street are restricted with licens. There are 200 m to Vaci Utca (shopping/food)and 300 m to the bar/food area around dob utca. Breakfast is cheap with coffee. We will come back

Before I review this good hotel, I want to warn who reads this against a restaurant where we were ripped off. The restaurant's name is Buborék Bisztro and its address is Dorottya utca 8 (this is very near to that known square called Vörösmarty Tér). If you ever eat there, beware of prices of wine because they charged us 3500HUF = 16US$ for just a glass of wine (it was our fault not to ask beforehand how much this would cost -we just assumed that it would cost what a glass of wine normally costs all over Western Europe-, so they took advantage of our "innocence" to ripp us off). Now, with reference to the City Hotel Pilvax, we were very satisfied with the location (it's in the heart of Pest, very close to Ferenciek Tere metro station which line is perfect to get to the airport), with the staff (very nice people), with the room and with the breakfast. The room was not so big but its size was enough for the two of us (picture attached). It was very clean, it had 2 comfortable beds, good heating, a not so big but very clean bathroom (picture attached), a convenient wardrobe, a couple of chairs, a desk, a normal TV set (not flat screen) and a small refrigerator. The sleeping quality was also good. We didn't hear any noise at all from other rooms and neither from the pedestrian street where the hotel is located even when our room was on the first floor (there is no elevator). In regards to the breakfast, we loved the breakfast room (see attached picture) and also the breakfast which offered much more than a usual continental breakfast. There was scrambled egg, small hot sausages, 4 types of bread, pieces of tomates and other vegetable, 2 types of cheese, several types of cold meat and cold sausages, butter, 2 types of jam, yogurts, bananas, apples, oranges, cereals, cold milk, hot milk, tea, coffe and fruit juices. Finally, let me mention as well that in the hotel lobby they have a computer for guests (and there is also wifi).

Great location and good value”
hotel pilvax was a great place to stay in budapest- centrally located and within walking distance of most attractions. the room was well equipped and clean. the staff spoke good english and were polite and helpful. we asked for a room at the back and it was very quiet. good atmosphere at jack doyles next door (with a live irish band on friday nights) and good food. the hotel was excellent value. just be aware that there are no lifts.

hotel pilvax is a very nice place for a 3* hotel. nice people at the front desk, free wifi in the rooms, lot of information and brochures on the sightseeing. clean and decent place. central location, most of the sights in the walking distance.

I have been living for years in Budapest, and I knew about this hotel. Price is great for a great location. I recommend this hotel for any new traveller to this beautiful city. It has free WIFI which was very helpful.

Good price, but needs a refurb.”
Nice hotel, centrally located in Budapest, close to many attractions, affordable prices usually, great staff. On the negative side I would say that the hotel definitely needs a refurb. Our room had issues here and there, mostly because no refurbishing was done for some time. Visited previously, but now for a next visit we would probably go somewhere else instead.

Great hotel and perfect location”
the hotel is located in the center of budapest. the main attractions are nearby (we walked most of the days. only for the visit of margit island we used the public transportation). the staff was very friendly. our room was situated on the first floor so we did not miss the elevator. the breakfast could be better (hardly any fruit). the rooms were clean and comfortable. if i would visit budapest again i surely would book this hotel again.

i enjoyed my stay in the hotel due to the location near the danube river and in the touristic center and very reasonable price. near is a 24 hours open pub and mini-market which is important because there is no room cervices in the hotel.

Nice city hotel in a perfect loaction”
The Pilvax is located directly in the heart of Budapest and is very close to everything. The next subway station is less than 5 minutes away and everything, especially all the major atractions, are within easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly, attentive and professional. The room was a bit dark due to the window being a rearside window. Size and cleanliness of the room were absolutely okay. Overall good value for money.

Great Value for Money in an Excellent Location”
This location is excellent for the sights in Budapest. It's only a couple of blocks from the river and between the Elisabeth and Chain Bridges so it's easy to walk to the attractions on the Buda side. The staff were very helpful with arranging things for me. This was great value for the money paid.

Good location”
This hotel is located in a pedestrian street right in the center of Budapest, which is quite nice. Unfortunately, noise isolation (from the street and the hallway) are non existent. Be aware there is no lift, so if you're carrying heavy luggage, you know what you will find. Shower with good pressure, toiletries were a bit poor (just shower gel). WiFi worked poorly in my room. There is a mini fridge which is quite useful. I didn't go for the breakfast as I didn't want to book it for my 3 nights stay as I needed to leave early on my last day: I sent an email to the hotel, they said it wouldn't be a problem, but then the price for breakfast per day went from 5e (agoda) to 8e (on site). The bed is ok but a little bit too hard, pillows do their work but also need some renewal.
