Decent budget hotel”
For the price paid, including full German breakfast, I could say the hotel is quite ok. Near downtown, 15 minutes from the railway station, it’s convenient enough. Rooms are spacious, it’s quite clean, even though also not quite new. But for a few days one could definitely be happy to live with the small imperfections in exchange for a nice travel budget boost. Staff is also quite friendly and helpful and hygiene is at a very good level. Definitely recommended.

Great location but very basic hotel”
The hotel is located near the center of Saarbrucken. It is quite small and old. The beds are comfortable but the room was not that clean and some things were broken. Nice breakfast and the rooms facing the back street are very quiet.

Excellent value. I was expecting a pretty shabby hotel as it was such a good price compared to everywhere else I looked but in reality the room was clean if a bit dated. But for a few days it was excellent. Location is also very good and on Mondays there is a jazz jam session next door. Wifi had to be paid for - but we showed them the internet ad in which free wifi is mentioned so they gave it to us free. Don't expect anything fancy but as long as you're not after luxury this hotel will do. Rest assured the rooms are clean.

we had a large room with settee and coffee table and chairs, the bed was clean and comfy ( typical German pillows though, take your ownif you can !!)the shower was efficient, the breakfast was amazing, the parking was fine, the location of the hotel only a few minutes walk from town, friendly helpful staff. Perfect for a stopover and fantastic value for money

Great location”
Good, central location, really close to the train station. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a typical german breakfast served. The free wireless internet connection that was promised while booking was not free by default, but after asking the staff, a 12 hour connection card was provided for free. Overall, good value for your money.

Exceptional”
All of the staff members are friendly and remember repeat visitors. When I was sick, they helped me get to a pharmacy and get the medicine that I needed. It feels like visiting family after three visits.

Cheap, Central and Clean”
All good. Wanted to keep budget down. Hotel was a bit tired (old and hadn't been updated in a long time). Had a good bathroom and shower. Only issue was the bed. If this hotel replaced the mattress and setup as proper double beds then for the money this hotel would be an excellent stay. The mattresses were too soft and very noisy. Weren't great for the back.

Basic hotel, a little worn”
This is a very basic one night stay hotel. The décor is pretty shabby and there is not much really to recommend about this hotel. It is convenient (walking distance) for the main train station and bus connections. It’s cheap. The staff is helpful. I have no major complains, given I was just there for one night.

The good bit: The breakfast facilities were really quite good with a wide choice of continental-style breakfast options and a plentiful free choice. In truth I really could not criticise that part of my stay. However my single room on the fourth floor was awful - it smelled musty and unwelcoming and the bathroom was something of a joke as I had to climb over the loo to enter the shower. I took a photo of it to cover my disbelief. The plastic sliding shower doors were broken and dirty. The room itself had a ´sort of balcony´ which was almost accessible via a door with a broken handle. The door itself was of the "tilt and turn type" but was also jammed and very difficult to use. Now you know why my review was worded as above.

Good location. Walkable distance from the station, close to city centr. Friendly staff. But, honestly spaking, not clean, not cozy, and very dark. Neibours are also not nice. B'fast was also not nice. But, if it is only for sleeping, it's okay.

Only there for the night, breakfast was very poor, shower no good for someone disabled or someone to big as door only open so far, and high step to get in and out with no grab rail to help, lovely Italian restaurant near by

It was fine for alight or two, but the room smelt like smoke and the corridors outside the rooms looks like something out of a horror movie. /They need new lights and carpets

Old hotel that needs more maintenance”
Slightly away from the city center, this area looks rather shabby compared with Rathouse area. THe hotel is an old one; the shower water leaks, the bed is too soft, carpets, drapes, everything, it seems, to have been used for years, and neglected keeping the hotel in a more contemporary style with more up-to-date facilities. I don't think I'd like to come back.
