Highly recommended to those who likes Onsen”
Stayed for 5 nights with 2 young kids. Was surprised by the four beds provided that allowed us to have good sleep. The Onsen on the 14/F was terrific!!! You don't want to miss you if you're an onsen lover!!! About 5 min walk from the closest Metro station. Our room was near the railway but the "noise" at night was still acceptable.

Amazing real hot springs hotel ”
One of the few city hotels with a natural hot springs. Very large facility, so easy just put on your robe, take the elevator upstairs to the top floor hot springs. Has both indoor and outdoor. Also excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. All great value. Has CNN in English a few hours per day. Highly recommended.

Great Location ”
The location is convenient, You can walk to Osaka Castle (around 10-15min by walk). My wife did enjoy a lot the SPA. Unfortunately I couldn't get in because of tattoo (not allowed to use their SPA if you have any ink in your body. you must cover it with tape which I didn't have). The room is good size for Japan standards. There is a coffee shop downstairs which you can enjoy as an additional option for the breakfast (need to pay too).

Really nice and neat and lovely place. Can’t go in the onsen if you have tattoo or piercings though. But otherwise great!

Big pluses; small minuses”
The room was pretty comfortable, especially if you like a very firm bed. Cleanliness was not great, especially in the bathroom and especially for Japan, but it wasn't terrible. The onsen/ baths on the top floor are fantastic, and I appreciated the hotel giving an illustrated guide for foreigners like myself to explain the proper etiquette for communal bath use. The breakfast buffet had some very good dishes, but wasn't fantastic. Got us fed quickly and efficiently, but I think we may have been spoiled by the other hotel buffets we'd had in Kyoto. The location is nice, as are the views on the higher floors. The location makes it easy to get places, but it isn't in a particularly active/ interesting area itself. A bigger hike to Osaka Castle than I expected. And yet, had a very enjoyable time here!

Tiny room, uncomfortable ”
Room was too small and had to pay extra, we are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, 5 & 8. Not so fluent in english but front desk try hard to help. Onsen experience was wonderful, different sections for male and female and kids friendly. Location wise not so good.

Very disappointed that they won’t be able to help to arrange a bigger taxi service, staff said no right away and won’t offer any other alternatives, it gives us the feeling that it is not their business at all and there is nothing they can do when the hotel doesn’t have the service. It was our second time staying with them. First time was perfect but this time really disappointed us.

Kid Friendly Onsen Hotel”
Stayed here for 7 nights and we loved it! We came to celebrate our anniversary and birthdays on this trip, the hotel staff surprised us with balloons in the room, very nice gesture, my kid (2 years 11 months) loved it! The hot spring is safe for kids also and my child enjoyed it, her first experience. The location is slightly out of the way but we managed very well even with a stroller going up and down the subway, use elevator no.5 it’s easier, the Sakaisuji-Hommachi subway station. 8 mins walk on foot with stroller. There is Coin laundromat 5 mins walk away from the hotel, convenient and powerful washing machines. Osaka castle is about 20mins walk by foot with our stroller but it was a nice and easy walk. There is a good soba noodle shop about 10 mins walk away. It’s 10 mins by taxi to OCAT where we took the airport limousine bus to kansai airport, there are buses every hour so no need to book tickets in advance, just go there and buy. (Advice from the staff who were very friendly and helpful, Anita, sajeena and Hiroko, I hope I got their names right) highly recommended hotel away from the hustle and bustle.

Exceptional”
My dad and I stayed here for our last couple of days in our stay in Japan (we went to Tokyo and Kyoto, and only stayed in Osaka a couple of days before flying out of the International Airport). We stayed at a variety of different places while in Japan, including hostels, homestays, ryokans and minshukus. (as a side note: I recommend staying at these such places at some point while in Japan.) I wanted to stay at a place with a nice hot spring facility for a relaxing end to our trip and I was not disappointed. There were a couple of kids there, but they weren't too loud. It was a short taxi ride to the main tourist shopping streets in Osaka and the Osaka fish market where we ate sushi for breakfast at a sushi restaurant there ( I forgot the name, but its easy to find on the internet because it opens so early for a sushi place).

Hot spring baths on the top floor were excellent, they have different types. There's also a foot bath located right outside the hotel. Breakfast is a mix of western and Japanese-style, and you get a magnificent view if they seat you by the large windows. Despite their limited English, staff was more than helpful; I lost a bag on the Thunderbird Express on my way to Osaka and they helped me by calling the station and reporting my lost item in Japanese for me. Next morning, they called me down and told me that my bag had been found and told me where to go to retrieve it! I don't know if the previous guest(s) that stayed before my family was a smoker but despite the fact that I booked a non-smoking room, it smelled like cigarette smoke when we first entered the room.

Value for value (location + hot spring)”
Though the single room I stayed in was small, which was expected in all the Japan cities. However, the hotel was new or well maintained that made my stay very comfortable. The hot spring/public bath was awesome, I didn't expect to get this in the city area and it was of course free to access for hot guests. The only thing that was bad about it was the opening hours of the hot spring were not ammondating, if I am not mistaken, it closed at 9am and reopened at 1500 till midnight. The underground station is not far away from the hotel, that allows you to have easy access to other parts of Osaka. If you don't take the underground, it only costs you about yen1000 to reach Namba by taxi.

Clean clean clean”
Me and my mum stayed at City plaza hotel. My mum loved the hotel so much for the twin room was big enough and so clean. Also we loved the hot spring water too. There’s massage chairs too which we could relax after the bath. My mum missed the hotel throughout the whole trip.!!

The room we booked is decent sized compared with the hotel rooms that we lived in Tokyo and Kyoto. However it’s not that clean as we could see lots of stains on the carpet...The hotel is near Sakaisuji-Hommachi station about 5 min walk and the closest entrance/exit is 1 however if you have luggage, you will have to access exit 15 as that’s the only exit with elevator. The hotel provides good toiletries - Shiseido. Also some Pola samples are provided at reception, you can take some if you want. The hot spring of the hotel is very big with open area. You can shower there if the bathroom in your room is small. We were also provided a mobile phone mainly for data.
