"We have been choosing a hotel in Beijing for more than 2 days (fortunately, my wife was doing most of that job) and, as result, we finally chose the Novotel Xian Qiao Hotel Beijing and now we may definitely state that we made a right choice. Most of the Beijing sites of interest are either in the walking distance (the Tiananmen square, the Forbidden city, the Temple of Heaven, and even the Beihai park), or they can be easily reached by metro or by bus - the public transportation is quite good in Peking. Our advice is to maximally walk about the city to feel its spirit. Moreover, imho, it's better to use different city restaurants to be acquanted with the Chinese quisine. To visit the Great Wall, we used the hotel tour service, and we were also satisfied with the quality of that tour."

"The hotel is right at Wangfujing Street and is only a couple minutes walk to the pedestrian-only section. A great location for food and shopping. Subway station is within walking distance, but I would advise taking a taxi to get there if you have luggage since it is several minutes of walk from the subway station. The hotel enforces the non-smoking rule pretty well. There was no cigarette smell in the lobby, corridor, and room. It is unusual in China. (Many five-star hotels in China don't enforce the non-smoking rule, even in non-smoking rooms.) If you can't stand cigarette smell, stay in this hotel. The room is kind of small and old but functional. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I will stay there again."

"We booked a superior room, and it was a great surprise! Room was excellently clean and spacious enough for us both, and amenities are complete! Hotel management really give excellent service with great attention to details. There was just no central heater but hotel readily provides extra blankets if requested, clearly it was not an issue for us. The different kinds of pillows are also very nice. Front desk allowed us to check in to our room early, around 12 noon, it was so nice of them to do that. It allowed us to enjoy their lunch buffet at Bloo with in-house guests' price, which has a very very delicious buffet spread. The lunch started off our excellent experience at Beijing. Hotel is near the Dengshiku station which makes it very accessible, it's also a 5-8 minutes walk to the Wangfujing pedestrian street where you can see a cultural mix of old and new Beijing. At the front of the hotel is a Starbucks outlet. Hotel lobby staff are very friendly and readily assists guests."

"My recent 3-night stay at Sun World Hotel in Beijing was wonderful. Could not have been better. The hotel is deluxe for such a reasonable price. The staff are helpful and try to use some English and will go out of their way to resolve any questions. The location is excellent, just around the corner from famous Wangfujing shopping street, which is always so lively, day and night. As a single woman traveler, I felt totally comfortable going out at night in the area. There are so many shops, shopping malls, and sights to see in the area."

"Took a bit of a tussle even with the baidu map to reach this place, but once you find it, you'll figure directions easily - great location close by Jingshan Park (literally 200m away), the forbidden palace and other closeby attractions. Location is not short of eateries and supermarkets, and is accessible with buses and a 15 minute walk to 2 different subway stations. Although customer service wasn't eloquent in English, they tried their best and was very helpful at check-in and when we had questions about directions and getting to the railway station. Room was pleasant and wifi works well too - nice place for a quick rest for a day of exploring. I'd definitely recommend staying here and would book another stay if I visit beijing again. "

"I stayed 5 nights in the 8 beds room to go sightseeing in Beijing. I can speak Chinese a little. The hotel was very clean, looked new, and smelled good, so pretty and Chinese like. The bed was soft enough, and the common space was very comfortable, there is also cafe corner, and there is a roof deck. Bathroom is common, but there are two toilets each for girls and boys, and they are clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They will tell you anything about China if you ask. They also have discount tickets for Chinese opera. Usually, it's hard to eat Chinese food like Beijing duck if you are alone, but ask them, they can manage people to go eat together. The guests there were also nice, I could make some friends. The hotel was like home and family, I loved it."

"Location really near Beijing International airport, hotel is clean, facilities new-ish, overall great stay for a quick rest after a late/ long flight. Free airport shuttle is hourly from Terminal 2, Arrivals level and at bus bay 3. If you arrive late like at 12 am, best to call the hotel to check if there is shuttle bus still operating BUT please don't get cheated by some uniformed workers with a name tag at the airport claiming to help you dial the hotel because they are working for a private limousine service and probably didnt even dial the hotel before telling us there was no more shuttle for the day and our only option was to take a 200 CNY transport by their company for a 10 minute ride, and later when we rejected, they reduced the fee by HALF, 100 CNY this time but still, our uber ride (40 min) from the hotel to Beijing CBD was only 110 CNY. And also, some reviews below said that hotel does not provide bottled water, but they do, so no need to lug a 1.5 L from the airport Family Mart. "

"The Crowne Plaza Beijing was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in - and I've stayed in a lot! The staff were amazing - they were so helpful, great English speakers and willing to do anything for anyone. The food was great also at the Club Lounge, Room Service & the Espresso Lounge. My room was huge! Super modern and great facilities. I would reccommened this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing - particularly if it is your first visit to the city. I can't wait to go back next year and stay at the Crowne Plaza Beijing again. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay so unforgettable!!!!"
