"We spent a 3 days holidays in the Mosel river region for sightseeing, walking, cycling, food and wine tasting, and above all relax. This hotel was a very good choice, the location is perfect, walking distance to Bernkastel center, vineyards, a castle, boat tour, bike rental, etc. It is also a short drive to other cities and attractions in the region. We had a very good time, very relaxing and very romantic. "

"Having sent a message to say we would arrive between 6 and 8pm we indeed arrived at 7.05pm to find the hotel in darkness, shutters down and the door locked. We rang the doorbells repeatedly for 35 minutes, also banging on the door with no answer. Having no means of contacting anyone I tried to gain access through another entrance with no success. Eventually we gave up and checked into the hotel next door, with one of us remaining outside in case someone appeared. At 8 pm I checked again and nobody there. I would not have left a negative review if the hotel had done the right thing and admitted that they were not there to receive us but instead they contacted the agent to say they had been there since 7pm and registered me as a no show resulting in an ongoing dispute with the agent about payment."
