Traveling to Spain? Find Gran Canaria hotels

The hotel is just off the las canteras beach promenade. Although I had booked an interior apartment, I didn't rue it as the weather was very windy and cloudy during my stay( I visited in January). I would however recommend a sea facing apartment during a more sunnier time. The apartment itself was clean, fully equipped and well maintained. We were surprised by the attention to detail with regards to kitchenware and household items that were provided which made our self catering stay truly a home away from home. The staff are very friendly and speak english. The hotel location is excellent. Close to convenience stores and restaurants. I'm definitely coming back here!

We both were extremely happy with our stay in the hotel. The location is amazing and they have the most helpful staff ever (they gave us amazing recommendations and directions, even helped us to rent a car). Clean rooms and amazing rooftop terrace. They gave us a discount in a nearby restaurant which has nice fresh fish and buffet breakfast. Definetely would go back and I'll recommend it!

Cala Blanca is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. It's situated in a beautiful place with gorgeous views, the hotel is clean, the pool is heated, the sunbeds are comfortable, the apartments are clean and kitchens are very well equipped in everything you may need and more. We got an apartment on the worst (lowest) floor with the least of views and we were still extremely pleased with it. There's always something to do without leaving the hotel: darts (although they should buy new board and new darts), ping-pong, wii, free DVD rental, day entertainment and evening entertainment etc. You can get a professional massage and learn to dive without setting your foot out of the hotel! There are 2 mini-markets in the hotel and a much bigger proper and cheaper supermarket is only 5 minutes drive away from the hotel and is open 7 days a week. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Matias who helps with getting your bags to the room and with anything else you might need, he's the nicest and most hard-working hotel employee I've ever met in my life. He doesn't speak English but I have a feeling he reads minds, because he's there by your side with whatever you need before you even say it out lout - we were very impressed with him! The cleaners aren't very pleasant, they shout to each other a lot and ignore you most of the time, but apparently that's something typical of Canarian cleaners so I didn't take it personally. A useful tip - consider renting a car as the hotel is on a hill and quite far away form anything if you walk so a car is a big plus. I think there is some kind of a bus service there, but we never used it as we rented a car for the whole stay and used it every single day. Parking by the hotel is very limited so paying for a parking spot when you book your stay is a good idea, especially in peak season. It wasn't that busy when we were there end September so we always managed to find a parking space withing 5 minutes walk from the hotel. If we ever dec

Bus stop for globals airport bus also near. 10 min walk to shopping centre Yumbo. Front desk open daily 9am to 12. Check in is possible 24/7. They prepared a envelope with you key, and they have a phone number to call 24/7. - The hotels WiFi useless cuz the signal and the speed was so poor. Could not even open a Facebook page.

If you are looking for a good quality (adult only)hotel (4 star), with air conditioning throughout then the Neptuno is well recommended. The buffet meals are of very high quality and the staff provide superb, friendly service in all departments. The rooms are well furnished with mini-bar, tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen TVs with some English chanels and complimentary shower gels and shampoos. Although it is situated adjacent to the Yumbo Centre, we did not experience any significant noise at night. Most rooms overlook the pool area (and the Yumbo). The hotel is very popular with gay people from all over Europe and further afield. It always seemed to be very friendly with most guests pleasant and well-mannered.

Our stay here was excellent. This hotel was beautiful and pretty much more than we dreamed of. It is easy to get to from the Airport and there is a public bus that leaves you basically right in front of it. The rooms are big, and have a sexy feeling about them, so great for a romantic get away. The pool is great and the garden and facility are beautifully well kept. The staff here is also one of the best thing about this place. They are from Canaria and are super friendly, attentive and helped us with anything and everything we needed. Isaias in particular made us feel like we were right at home and was very responsive to any concerns or request we had even before we booked the room. The hotel is pretty centrally located. It is close to the Yumbo, nice restaurants, a super market and the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Busy period, some days lines to get into the breakfaast and dinner area, but good food, and variation of it. Spa-area nice, even if the pools where to cold. For the pool-area, there where no sun-beds left in the sun after 9 am, all "pre-booked"even if that was not permitted (-). We where unlucky with a brooken refrigirator the first night of arrival, even the next day it was not fixed - but when we informed about it, it was swiftly changed. Een if the location is a bit from the beach it did not take more than 10 min. to walke there - so no problem.Local Bus stop right outside the hotel, that even worked to get to the airport early in the morning (+). Variation and quality of the entertainment every evening - no need to go anywhere else(+) Beds where really hard (-)

We enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Sun Beach very much. The apartments are simple but efficient and comfortable. They seem to be newly fitted out with modern shower room and small kitchen. Nude sunbathing round the pool was very pleasant (although overlooked by the block next door) with plenty of sunbeds and a pink flamingo float! We liked very much that it was a peaceful environment with no intrusive music around the pool. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We were unlucky that Jorge (the mainstay and manager of the resort) was away until our last 2 days so the reception was minimally manned and we had to ask Spanish speaking cleaning staff to try to help. Usually he is there every day and is excellent. Breakfast was included in our deal and consisted of an extensive buffet (which was adequate if not brilliant) in a nearby hotel. These minor quibbles aside, we would thoroughly recommend this resort if you want an all male gay environment and a relaxing stay.

I've stayed here a few times on my way in and out of work. Recommend booking a sea view terrace room as these overlook Las Canteras beach and the terraces are a great spot to chill out with a drink or two. Rooms are pretty decent with comfortable beds and good wifi. The breakfasts here aren't bad either. There's a taxi rank just outside so no issues getting one to go to the airport etc. Heaps of restaurants and bars nearby as well. All up a top spot.

Bungalows Campo Golf are chalet style bungalows, they are well maintained, clean and tidy, the rooms are cleaned everyday. There are small attractive garden areas all around but the bungalows are quite close together with verandas in full view of all the neighbors. There is no AC or fans provided but this was not an issue in March even though the weather was really nice, about 24-27c in the daytime. The resort has a lovely swimming pool, a bit cold for most people but alright once you got swimming, at least it was warmer than the sea. There is a small supermarket, snackbar and restaurant on site and so it is quite pleasant just to stay on site if you so wish. Like a lot of places in GC, the resort is quite a walk from everywhere, except the golf, which is literally just accross the road, but you have to walk when you get there anyway!!! It is, however, a very pleasant walk to the Maspalomas dunes, the beach or the shops and restaurants of Meloneras, all a good 20 to 30 minutes walk away. It is not expensive to hire a car and there are lots of places to visit if you do.

Stayed here for one night. Never again! I had a twin room and we had to be asked to be moved as the dust was so bad it was setting off my asthma. Very old looking which I don’t mind, but the smell in the hostel of dirt and smoke. We paid more for a triple room which was a bit better. The staff were so strange and had no customer service at all! When we arrived to the reception there was a dog walking on the part where you sign in etc. Weird looking old men in their underwear walking through corridors who looked like homeless or on drugs. The bathrooms were the worst I have ever seen. Shower curtain was black with dirt, smell of pee, and just generally gross! Yes it’s a hostel but it should be clean. I would only recommend staying here if you literally had to choose between the streets and here! It aodens take mucho to even change a dirty shower curtain but I guess they don’t care about this place. Could have a lot of potiential!

I stayed for two nights for business purpose. Check-in and check-out went very smooth. I also upgraded my room to sea view and the staff helped me with this without any problem, (of course I had to pay the balance though). During the stay I needed to scan a lot of documents. The hotel didn't have any business center, which I think is strange for a so called 5 star hotel, but the staff at front desk scanned the documents for me, and put the files on my USB-drive. They did this very smoothly and with a smile. Great service. My room was a simple room with a quite big balcony facing the beach. Great view with sunshine from morning to evening. The room was nothing special, but clean and it had what is needed with big desk, nice bathroom, (separate shower and toilet rooms), nice big bed and so on. I don't consider this a 5 star hotel, comparing to the other 5 stars I've stayed at, but it's a good hotel to stay in anyhow. I will probably book the same hotel for next time, (if I don't feel like trying out something new.

the breakfast restaurant is located right by the beach boulevard. the breakfast was served until 10:30 in the morning. there was a lot of choice, including delicious omelletes, sparkling wine, freshly sqeezed juices... the swimming pool area and the lounge at the top floor were very cosy with beautiful views over the sea and the beach boulevard. the staff was very helpful and friendly. the hotel has a private beach with deck chairs for the guests' use. for those who enjoy walks/running on the beach, the hotel offers excellent possibilities as the beach is 1 km long.

Hotel in great location, and for the price we paid, excellent value for money. However I feel had I paid their standard room rate that the extra charges would seem extremely cheeky and unreasonable. I would recommend this hotel, if it is considerably cheaper than it´s rivals close by. The AC and the Reina Isabella both are far superior in my opinion. I would rate the hotel as a very good 3*, it does not warrant the 4* rating due to the fact they do not include basic services of a 4* standard. Having said that, the hotel is very clean, comfortable and functional, just lacking in the finer touches which could be remedied if they were not so greedy. No gym, no pool which the two rival hotels mentioned above posess.
