Traveling to Spain? Find Lanzarote hotels

I spent a week in Lanzarote staying at Casa Tomaren. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist traps yet only 15 minutes drive to Arrecife the capital, and only 15 euros by taxi if you like me don't drive. Most of the other guests had hired a car. I'd say it was the perfect combination of tranquillity and easy access to amenities. The room was beautiful and quite spacious, I shared a bathroom with another room and a well equipped kitchen also. The casa had a pool and a heated jacuzzi and plenty of places to enjoy the sun laying down so I spent many days not even going anywhere outside just enjoying the peace and calm . The staff were ever so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of options from fruit salad to cake!

Overall, it was yet another pleasant stay at the Hesperian Lanzarote. Food good day always. All staff we encountered were friendly, efficient and helpful. Some works were being carried out in the pools area but not significantly disrupful. Any improvements? Yes, layout of the breakfast buffet could be reviewed and more hotel and resort information could be left in the rooms Will return

Ok this was our first time in Lanzarote. We had a very busy very stressful year and wanted to wind down in a nice quiet boutique hotel couples only etc etc. First this was not a boutique hotel as I would imagine it. The rooms were good, but when we arrived the air con was broken and the phone didn't work. We noted the staff and they were fixed immediately. Great service. So bad things; first of all there were not enough sun beds, so you needed to get your towel down at 8 am. The breakfast was ok but once again if you didn't get there pronto it would be like feeding time at the zoo. Not my idea of a relaxed boutique. The wi-fi was shockingly slow and the gym was not a gym but new but fairly small cardio centre. An investment in some heavy free weights would go down well. I checked if this hotel was classified as a lively hotel and it wasn't. But at least three afternoons they had DJ Sammy banging out the hits (the disco version of forever young sticks in my mind) and then in the evening they had an assortment of cabaret (Lionel Richie tribute on Thursday) all of which I could hear inside the room - I mean if I wanted this I would have gone to Blackpool. This went on until 1 am. Good things, the staff were excellent, hard working and efficient. Beds comfortable and the room kept clean. Would I go back - yes if they improve the wifi, breakfast, ditch the discos and dj Sammy.

This is our second visit to Playa Blanca previously we have stayed closer to the main shopping area however we chose Playa Limones for its good location to the beach. The accomodation was good spacious and perfectly adequate for the three of us. The kitchen facilities were fine and allowed you to cook a basic meal which was plenty as there are more the enough very reasonably priced restaurants nearby. My only slight niggles were the 3rd bed described as a sofa bed was indeed the sofa (not even a pullout sofa bed) that said it was comfortable, cutlery was limited and although cool at night the bunaglows tended to be hot and a fan would have been useful.The site itself is very well maintained cleaners & gardeners are always visible. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a bar on site & a newly added pizza takeaway which can make it a very lazy relaxing holiday in the sun. The bungalows themselves are located about 200m from the prom & beach perfect if you feel like a change.

Exquisite view... I couldn't have asked for more. We came for a quick break, myself and my mum... the food was wonderful, something for everyone.. there was even baby jars if needed.... the sparkling wine served was yummilicious. The middle pool is truly heated during winter... nightly entertainment was the usual for lanzarote but it certainly did it for most people as there were many laughs and clapping to be heard... I'm not sure about the under 10,s though as there was no playground. Maybe if I had kiddies with me I would have sought out the kids entertainment. Highly recommend this hotel... we are 100% returning

The hotel is beautiful clean and friendly staff . We stayed in a prestige apartment with a patio and sun beds directly out onto the pools . This part of the hotel is quiet and peaceful an ideal relaxing getaway . There are also family areas in the hotel with fun pools and activities . Plenty for everyone . The beach a very short walk away is lovely to swim in and safe for children to play . My husband and son used the tennis courts . The spa pool looked amazing although we chose not to use it . The food in the restaurants is first class . Really cannot fault anything . Will definitely go again .

What a wonderful surprise I wasn't expecting too much as we are used to the high end 5 star resorts. Well we were totally blown away. The Jardines Del Sol is perfect in every way. Apartments spacious, peaceful and immaculate. They have every imaginable amenity though we dined out except for a quick breakfast, if you desired you have produced a ten course meal for 6 people, with all the facilities in their kitchen. The beds are so comfortable, better than all the luxury hotels! Honest!! The staff simply cannot do enough for you, always at your disposal and willing to help with anything however large or small. The pool is very clean and beautifully maintained it is very peaceful with loads of sun loungers. They have an excellent policy where you cannot reserve loungers with towels for most of the day. It means those using the pool actually get to use them. So watch out Germans!! The gardens are beautifully maintained, patios are lovely at the resorts, with full table chairs and sun loungers, bathrooms spotless with full bath and shower. Easy parking with loads of spaces. It looks like it would be a good place with those who have reduced mobility. It is also appears to be great and safe for families. 5 Stars!! Thank you to all the Le Jardin De Sol. GO here you won't be disappointed!!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with any form of restricted mobility as to reach the rooms, there are two flights of steps and no functioning lift. I have knee problems and could get up the stairs but it was hard work. There was no breakfast menu and it appeared that all was on offer for breakfast was a selection of cakes and pastries.I did see another guest being served with fried eggs which I requested for my husband which duly arrived but not until the toast which came first had gone cold. There was no yoghurt or fruit available which was difficult for me as I am basically vegetarian. Coffee was good and served promptly. Pleasant staff who did a good job.

Papagayo Arena Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The cleanest hotel I have ever been to. Staff are very friendly - food & drink is good. Only downside is the childrens entertainment. Run by the hotel therefore all staff are Spanish - making communication quite difficult. Plus kids disco starts at 8.30pm - restaurant opens at 7.30pm, a very tight turn around with children.

We stayed for a week over Christmas - both enjoyed despite having very different requirements for winter holiday (I like sun and sea, my partner prefers to read in a shady place). Hotel staff were helpful and friendly and the food and drink were excellent. The beach next to the hotel was clean and safe for swimming, and it was a short walk into town. I'd have liked a clothes-drying rack on the balcony, and a kettle in the room - but these were minor omissions. Good WiFi coverage throughout!

H10 suits me well - another nice suprise, good location very close to the beach and shops, good place for families with kids very clean and beautiful sea view from the window. the staff was very helpful and very nice. the breakfast was quite tasty although very early in the morning. lots of fruits and good range pastry . I got an upper floor room the way I always want, nonsmoking and very quiet. shops just opposite of the street and very conveniently located, with good quality products, very easy to find, I recommend this hotel to all the people who want to stay near the beach, in a quiet and nice place.

My experience in this hotel was bad.Our flight was in the evening so when we arrived the hotel restaurant was closing and the only food available in the hotel was cold sandwiches (very poor and basic) from the hotel bar. As soon as I open the door to our room the smell was terrible. There was a lot of mold around the AC. The carpet was pretty dirty too. The tap water tasted terrible but the hotel did not provide water at all so we had to buy four 2l bottles of water for the week. There was not fridge in our room so the water was always warm. There was not a kettle in the bedroom so we could not have a cup of coffee or tea in our room unless you were willing to go to one of the hotel bars and pay for it. Coffee in the hotel bar was expensive and small. I had a Daiquiri one time at one of the swimming pool bars and it was disgusting. We also did not like that as soon as we arrived we could see two different receptions, one for the standard customers and one for the Deluxe customers. Even in the swimming pool there was an area only for deluxe customers....that is very classiest. The reception staff was useless. The swimming pools closed at 7pm!!! and the swimming pool bars too. The entertainment was poor and the disco, that I saw the last night, closed at 1..I did not feel like I was in Spain and for young couples this is a really boring hotel. We also used the spa. We had to pay of course because nothing is included even the swimming pool. The incredible thing is that in the afternoon they had courses for kids through the council so basically if you want to relax in the spa do not go to this hotel. The only positive thing is that Lanzarote is a fantastic island and Playa Blanca's Beach is beautiful. I would not to go back to this hotel again. They made me feel like a second class person, I did not feel like I was in a four star hotel at all but I will go back to Lanzarote.

You walk in and it’s a five star hotel , beautiful reception attentive staff . Then the hike to the junior suite, what a disappointment. Everything you would want apart from wardrobe space. And very minimalistic. Great Nespresso coffee machine pity it didn’t reach the plug socket so had to make coffee on the floor!! Breakfast buffet vast choice but with 100 s of other people the noise is not what you want first thing of a morning. A hotel that is great for some but others should avoid

Good for couples or families who are looking for a retreat and don't mind basic facilities. They don't service the rooms everyday. If you are looking for more action you need to go closer to playa blanca. It's good value for money and can well serve as a sleeping base if you have a car to move about. You cannot rely on the hotel if you want to have nice dinner or a drink later in the evening. The shop is not always open as advertised

Nice clean apartments within a couple minutes from two beaches. There are two swimming pools on site, one claims to be heated but is rather cold. There are plenty of sun loungers. On site restaurant serving buffet breakfast and evening dinner reasonably priced. Evening entertainment for adults and children most nights. Pool bar and happy hour daily. Supermarket opposite the complex

Booked this property for the first time although I have stayed in Lanzarote twice before. Communication from the start was good and with their Facebook page I was able to follow what was going on in the area leading up to the trip. When we arrived we where amazed by how clean and well maintained the whole complex as well as our apartment was. Reception had us booked in in no time which allowed us to start our holiday right away. There is a pool bar run by Dave and Christine. These guys are so friendly and make a point of remembering everyone's names. Prices are great and you can also get food which we had once but again was great. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols to keep the sun off and the pool is immaculate. The apartments have enough kitchenware to accommodate a family of 4 if you intend to prepare some meals for yourself. The Tv has a few English channels for late night viewing and the Aircon was perfect. Lastly thank you to Stephano and the team. We had a great time
