"The Hermitage Hotel is a place that seems to purely bank on the fact that they are the only actual hotel in the area and have an amazing view of Mount Cook. For the price you pay, the rooms are poorly-maintained and breakfast isn't even included! Would recommend you to pick the chalets instead for a better value or stay at Lake Tekapo or somewhere else nearby."

"The location is a dream if you intend to hike around the Mount Cook area and not relish having to drive up and down Lake Pukaki a few times. Room is well-stocked, spacious and clean. Our key complaint is that no free wifi is available despite accommodation in Mount Cook Village isn't exactly the cheapest around. This complaint has also been heard at the reception. Although the wifi can be purchased at $5 per day (Inexpensive by any means), it is not quite conceivable how patrons should be separately charged for such a basic amenity. The staffs here are courteous, friendly and professional."

"It is a pleasure to stay at the Aoraki Court Mount Cook Village. The staff are nice and friendly. The room is spacious, clean, modern with spa, and heated bathroom floor. The huge glass sliding door gives you the beautiful view of the snow capped mountains, as well as letting a lot of light in the room. If you have a chance to stay in Mount Cook, this should be the only name to remember."

"When we arrived it was raining cats and dogs. As we entered, we were greeted by at the reception by a young lady who was very helpful and very friendly. Our room was a mount facing room, on the first floor. The lodge itself is very cosy and comfortable and just as you would expect an alpine lodge, it is primarily with a wooden finish. There is a small shop at the reception for buying basic groceries. The room was very good. Cosy, small, with a queen and two bunk beds on the side. There were no cooking facilities in the room as such, only tea and coffee. The view from the room was great. The bathroom was also descent. On the first floor, there was a common room with common cooking and dining facilities. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive about sharing the kitchen with others. The kitchen was big with a number of cooktops and fridges and microwave. There are a number of dining tables and coches, with a big balcony over looking mount cook. The features of the kitchen were good and in fact we liked cooking with the various other guests of different nationality. The TV in the big common room had Foxtel and hence you could see various channels. The fact that I could see the India vs West Indies cricket match at a remote place like this was unbelievable. The TV in the room had very limited channels. The wifi provided was very generous with about 5GB of data. Overall, I had a very satisfying stay and being able to se mount cook from my room on a full moon night was wow. The staff was really good, helpful and very chatty. I really liked talking to them ladies at the reception.  Overall I loved this place. Overall Rating 4.5/5. "
