"Pare pare seems to have a pretty consistent and refreshing sea breeze as evidenced by the many windmills visible as you head northeast. The hotel seems to feature mostly balcony rooms with cool breezes and a great view of the sunset. The facilities are pretty mediocre, but the bed was comfortable enough and we had plenty of hot water. The wifi didn't really work too great but I got a local sim card and turned my phone into a hot spot which works very well. The breakfast was spotty. The first morning the coffee had loads of sugar in it. The next morning no sugar but was still a little hard to get down. But hey, we weren't even expecting to get breakfast so we were happy enough. The excellent manager helped us immeasurably with some info and phone calls enabling us to catch the Rantepao-bound bus right in front of the hotel."
