"The property is conveniently located within walking distance to the ferry building. They offered transfer arrangement prior to arrival. However I see the price is on the high side. The owner wasn't too friendly at the pick up from ferry, maybe he was having a bad day."

"Karina could not have been more helpful, nice clean room. There was my husband and I and his 75 year old dad, two queens in studio setting, apparently I snored and kept them awake??? find that very hard to believe :) The water did go on and off for the shower but we got use to it and given you are on a remote southern island were water and power is at a premium. There was a nice big clean barbque to cook our fresh blue cod on. It was very easy walking distance to the pub and wharf and so warm with three heaters we had to twink them way down. Over all we were very happy. "

"As part of the package staying at Kowhai Lodge, our host Peter took us for a 4 hour guided tour of Ulva Island. He is so knowledgeable and is very interesting to listen to with many anecdotes and facts to keep us informed. We also asked him to take us on a tour of the island which was just as worthwhile. The accomodation was spotless and spacious. We were thoroughly delighted with all aspects of our experience. A special highlight was the kaka who turns up for breakfast! "
