"For a 4 Star Hotel I was disappointed that staff in the reception didn’t speak English. When we asked about the more cost on a upgrade of our room the receptionist didn’t understand our request and answered “yes it’s okay, children are free up to 12 years!” We sat in the lounge to watch the World Cup finals and were offered no service. We stayed for 3 days and on the second day we got a letter written in German about having a pet/dog in the hotel. - again this communication should had been in English. Breakfast table was uninspiring and minimal. There were small flies around the buffé. All this I would had accepted in a 2 star hotel but Not at a 4 star Best Western. "

"This is a great hotel a few hundred meters down the road from the train station and just around the corner from the start of the old town. The included breakfast was great additional value. Wittenberg isn't a big town and there aren't many other places to lodge. People usually go there for one reason: the birthplace of the Reformation. Staff are friendly and helpful but aren't always as multilingual as visitors might expect coming from, say, Berlin. Still with a little bit of understanding and patience, we got all the information we needed to have a wonderful stay in this beautiful town."
