There are many small B&B’s close to the airport which are fine for a cheap overnight. This Wyndham is for those looking for a more luxurious stay with quality food in their restaurants, fitness room and jacuzzi tub, though no pool. Upgrading to the Club level gets you a higher floor room and access to snacks and drinks all day plus a delicious buffet dinner. Management is very responsive to concerns. Big shout-out to Jennyfer who made this last stay of mine great!

Our rooms and ocean view were top-notch. Modern facility. Rooms felt open & airy. Open spaces. Nice breakfast in the morning that changed daily. Always had fresh, purified cold and hot water available on every floor & bottled waters throughout the rooms. Most to put away, the staff was top-notch. My husband and I have stayed at some of the nicest hotels in the world and have not seen this level of service at this price point. Ever. They made sure everybody (family of 9) was taken care of from the beginning. Stowing our bags, recommendations, organizing cabs, packaged lunches to-go for early excursions, accompanied us to the pharmacy when we weren’t sure we could convey in Spanish what we needed, etc. All with no prompting. They offered up their services 24/7 . I will be forever grateful since I had a severe back injury just before our arrival to San Cristobal & they would have gone to the moon and back to make sure I had what I needed. Don’t hesitate. I stayed at this hotel for a few hours at night between flights. I was very satisfied with my stay. I took a taxi from the taxi desk at the airport, and it was about a 10-minute ride (there was no traffic). I was welcomed by the lone night staff, who was extremely efficient checking me in, woke me up at the agreed time, then was very efficient checking me out. The room was in a rustic whitewashed style with solid wooden doors. The bathroom had an elaborate shower, but worked well for the simple shower I took. I did not see many lights around the hotel -- it looks like a quiet area, but since it was dark when I arrived and when I left, I did not see the surroundings.

got a stopover between colombia and peru here in quito. the location of the hotel is ok, maybe for the weekend it would be better in the historic center but however taxis are quite cheap and all attractions are quite near. breakfast was really good. the room was huge and equiped with two balconies - thats the good point, maybe it was a bit old fashioned. the wifi was working perfect (and for free). there was some reconstruction in the hotel lobby that time but except while checking in and out it was no disturbing matter. based on the price, room size and location i would book this hotel again if there is no possibility to have a hotel in the historic center.

Almost no complain about the hotel. When we checked in, the front desk told us there're no reservation records, even though I showed them booking voucher. I told them that this error was between the hotel and Agoda; if they have rooms available, they should give us room instead of waiting 30 minutes to understand where it went wrong. Fortunately they came to know how to make it right by upgrading my room.

I had a great stay in L'auberge Inn only a 10min walk from the Centro Historico. The staff are very nice and helpful, they have an integrated restaurant as well as laundry service. unfortunately my white wash came back yellow and dirty also I have asked to get clothes washed separately and prepared them and was supposed to pay more which was fine for me. white wash had to be rewarded and only got little better, so they took wash entirely off bill for me. I still highly recommend to stay, you just might want to wash somewhere else. But room, staff and hotel was top :)

The hotel itself is first rate with excellent modern facilities, high quality finishes and bedding, and very comfortable, firm beds. The front desk service is friendly and helpful, with good English speaking staff. There is a fine business center with 2 good computers, and one clunker. Our only disappointment was with the restaurant service, in the cafe on ground floor, and in the breakfast dining room. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal with the widest fresh variety of food we have experienced in our travels around the world. However, the wait staff was not good in either facility. The waiters either ignored our requests or simply passed us by repeatedly without refilling coffee at breakfast, or removing dishes we were clearly finished with. There were very few other North Americans here at the hotel, but the dining room was the only place we seem to have become invisible. The location is great, close to the Malecon, Parque Bolivar is right across the street which we enjoyed seeing from our room, and there are many other restuarants and shopping in the area. We would happily recommend the hotel and return if the opportunity arose.

We chose Hotel Quito for its location between the airport and the Mariscal District, and for its price in its category of quality hotels. We got more than we expected, including wonderful views of Quito in one direction and mountains and hills in the other. We ate at the buffet and asked to eat only the salad bar, which was not something they usually do. They accommodated us and the charge was very reasonable. We will stay there again and book visitors to Ecuador there as well.

The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location. We booked a king deluxe room but on our arrival we were given a basic twin bed room and which is $150/night cheaper than what we paid. When asked to be moved to the room that we had booked we were told that the hotel was full and they could not move us. The hotel was very quiet so I doubt that they were at 100% capacity. To make up for their error they offered a free massage! We had the tasting menu at the hotel restaurant which was $85 each (very expensive for Ecuador) and it was terrible, we highly recommend that you don't eat at the restaurant! It was a once off experience but I would not choose to stay there again.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. The owner, Jackson was very kind and provided an excellent service. We arrived early in the morning from Santa Cruz and he came to meet us and other guests at the port to take us to the hotel. The room was ready for us as soon as we arrived. He gave us lots of information and helped us to book tours and organised our ticket back to Santa Cruz. The room was clean and the bathroom had a lovely hot shower. At the request of my partner, Jackson and his wife bought and arranged balloons as a surprise for my birthday! We had a wonderful time at Ceilo Azul and highly recommend this hotel to others seeking a more personal and local experience in Isla Isobela.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Reina Isabel - surprised by the spaciousness of the rooms & bathrooms. Back again for a second & third stay whilst in transit to exploring other countries. Be aware - that Sunday is rest day in Quito - so if you need room service - the main restaurant is closed Staff extremely friendly and helpful with all our needs, we left luggage for safe keeping whilst we explored the Galápagos. Booking taxis no problem - the hotel will call them - tho if you're uncomfortable with the unmarked "taxis" make sure to tell the hotel you wish to have an "official" taxi with all the registered stickers. The hotel takes note of all the taxis number plates that pick you up. Overall would stay here again, on my second stay as writing this review

A more of hostel than a hotel. Helpful staff, location not near the center of the island , you will have to walk 10-15 minute. Still safe area. Facilities are very simple a more of hostel than a hotel. You will have to pay in cash - no credit card accepted. Internet is very slow and will not work 90% of the time. There is a crossfit Gym in front of the hotel which is one of the best things to do in evening.

My girlfriend and I met up with my parents in Quito for 5 days and ended up staying in the same hostal as them. We couldn't have been happier with our stay! The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous and the rooms were quiet. It provided an excellent "home base" while we explored both old town and new. I'd absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking. None of us had any issues walking at dawn or dusk, though we were instructed to take a taxi directly from our restaurant one night even though it was only 6 or so blocks away. Not a knock on the hostal itself, but just something to know going in.

We arrived late in the evening at this old house hotel in the colonial old town of Quito. We asked about finding something to eat. The staff sent us to a tourist trap restaurant that had the worst food of our entire time in Ecuador. Don't bother with: Hasta la Vuelta, Señor. Dried up tilapia, mayonnaise ridden avocado rellenos. The other choice of restaurants at night was in La Ronda, but nothing we saw was open. But this review is of the hotel. We found ourselves walking around the old town at night...alone. There was nobody on the streets, which doesn't feel especially safe. We were fine, but chose to move after one night to the mariscal, which was a bit too lively, but at least not empty. The area was busy with locals and tourists in the day. Our room opened onto the courtyard, typical of old quito house, no opening other than the door. Breakfast included was in the old wine cellar...just ok.

I had a really nice stay on Island Isabella. This hostel isn't actually on the beach, or on the town square, but is no more than 2 minutes walk from either, so is very central. The village is nice and safe, so there is no problem wandering around at any time. The hotel has good wifi, is very clean and well run, the staff are helpful and there is a kitchen if guests want to cook, as well as a communal tv in front of hammocks under cover in the garden. The air conditioning is super efficient. There is a supermarket next door around the corner, as is a bike hire place. I was very happy staying there and would recommend it.
