Kazakhstan hotels & accommodations

Over a three week period, we stayed at the top hotels in the region and without question, the Rixos Almaty was the best. I believe the true distinguishing characteristic was the exceptional quality of the staff: all warm and friendly. Natural. Happy to help. Quick to smile. And smart, comprehending and helping to solve problems and suggest alternatives. In the last ...

The Rahat Palace is a Lovely Hotel which was well recommended to me. Always obliging and helpful staff This hotel is well situated with good amenities. The food on offer was always well prepared and gave a varied selection that would suit any pallet. The pool and spa areas are great for relaxing. I’m very glad I chose the Rahat Palace for my vacation in Almaty. Mart...

This hotel is one of the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. Everything works and the staff is helpful and polite. And after a hard day of exploring the city, what better than to return to the clean, comfortable and safe environment of the hotel. The room exudes a feel of luxury, and is extremely comfortable. The hotel is conveniently situated. It is within walk...

The breakfast is super, staff were very friendly especially Alina and ladies at the Capri Restaurant, location is excellent near the riverside, supermarket and children attractions are in a walking distance. Hotel however needs to pay attention to the beds, as most of us had some sort of bites.

Hotels in Kazakhstan are ridiculously overpriced given where it is and what there is to do there; this place ought to be at least half the price compared to what one can get for a similar price in other cities given the size of the room. But, given the local market here it was far better than the airport hotel in Almaty which is the same price but old and filthy. The ...

Stayed here for the first time last Halloween. I usually stay at the Hotel Oskamen - and old Soviet Era block (which is clean and cheap, but the breakfast served is foul); so, I stayed at the Duman, which is more expensive, to test its breakfast - which was quite enjoyable. I would stay here again.

Pros: service was great, location good and the nearby mall has all one could need. Cons: hotel is located on the upper floors of a commercial building, which means one has to go up to come down..and vice versa. Didn't have power outlet converters and an daily internet(only if u need more bandwidth) fee seems rather ridiculous for a $3-400/night hotel.

We tried Alanda hotel as it was new and the hotel seems to have a traditional style. The facilities were good, the room big enough and clean. Everything you need if you are staying in the city 3 or 4 night. Very good location as it is near some of the main attractions in Astana and located in front of a shopping mall in case you need anything (money exchange, food etc....

Handy spot. Close to a large supermarket and mall. There's a few food shops nearby as well. Rooms are comfortable , but sometimes too hot in winter. Very comfortable beds here though. Free wifi , you'll get the password on check in. There's an ATM machine in the lobby if you need to get money. Breakfasts here are pretty good with a decent variety. Bar onsite as well.

The modern look and vibrant color of the hotel's rooms were definitely what made me choose Park Inn by Radisson. Storage was very limited though and the lack of a refrigerator in the room was a bit inconvenient. The food served in the restaurant was much better than what I had in a more expensive hotel the week earlier. The staff at reception were superb, they were a...

there is pretty big swimminh pool outside though it had no water due to not so hot weather. stayed just one night between transfer flights, so liked that it's close to the airport. about 30 mins to the center (what taxi driver said). transfer booked by hotel is on time & with comfort on mercedes)). breakfast is good though not so big. also what good - check-out time is...

stay here for vacation and business. 3 of us. nice room! very spacious for 3 pax! very comfortable beds! shower not really good. had difficulty with hot shower. has to open the shower and wait for approx 7mins to water turn into hot/warm. breakfast was GOOD! (since the restaurant under renovation so they sent all guest to cross road restaurant)

The hotel has a great location for touring the city. If it is not frigid outside you can do lots of walking to see sights. Staff at front desk is adequate, but not overly friendly or helpful. They don't really seem to care. The hotel is very clean and the bar in the lobby is very nicely located. We were traveling for 6 weeks, and the restaurant upstairs was the wors...

Less than 30 mins from the airport. Very close to the Opera and a small-scale mall. Baiterek Tower and the iconic Khan Shatyr Mall designed by Norman Foster are within walking distance (20 mins?). Also very close to the main business district. Hotel looks new. Gym was ok - spacious but a little sparsely equipped and doesn't look very modern. No swimming pool which was ...

Hotel is new and very clean. Staff is very friendly and pleasant. Only one comment for disadvantage, when I stayed in the room on the side main road, could hear how cars was passing, so it was a bit noisy, due to window in not blocking outside sounds. In addition, the same problem was when I was staying in the room on the 2nd floor near to the restaurant it was noisy a...

+ location next to the metro station and a bus stop + well equipped gym for free + lobby and room service 24 hours + Sulu restaurant offers excellent food! - staff doesn't speak English well - hotel couldn't organize any tours or excursions even after providing tour guides' name cards
Cheap places to stay in Kazakhstan

Older reviews are outdated; there IS a sign (and archway) for this hostel now, and it is located in the southwestern corner of the apartment complex, where the map indicates. The double private room was fine for an overnight stay, with a clean bathroom. I was able to day-use the room prior to my evening flight after arriving at 6:30 AM. Nice staff, and Bus 10/12 from ...

Merits: The rooms were large with basic facilities at a low price, without fancy stuff of course. One thing I have to show my super great appreciation was that I got my passport stolen during the few days there, and one of the staffers Munur helped me a lot by accompanying me to the police station (which you could imagine how frustrating it could be by the police's res...

The Place is surrounded by restaurants and is next to Keruen mall that has a supermakert to replenish your necessities. Walking distance to Bayterek Tower and other places of interest. Room is clean and at level 22, the room is always cool. You may also have your laundry done in the hostel. Do note that mens bathroom and toilet are separated. Bathroom has 2 shower cu...

Was check in by the Boss, really good and friendly. Even his girlfriend is friendly. The boss took me and a Denmark guy to buy supper on my 1st night. Nightmare begun when the young worker came in to work on weekdays. I've told the Boss that I would like to stay in the Hostel common area after check out due to my Flight at night. While I was resting, the Guy purposely ...

I stayed in Astana in the beginning of December and searched for me budget and safe place in the center of the city. I found it nice hotel, location is nice, the room is clean, bed is comfortable (i was lucky and got king size bed), furniture is quite new, towels and bath facilities are also good, hotel provide free wi-fi (it's good option, not so good for skype or wat...

If you book an accomodation on this booking site and at the hotel they ask for a price which is 20% higher, then i simply can't recommend this place. It's probably a miscommunication between Agoda and this hotel, but if the hotel insists to pay the higher price even after showing the booking confirmation....well decide for yourself whether or not you think it's custome...

The apartment is big and spacious. Plus, it is very clean. We can do our own cooking. We love it. Although it is not situated in city centre, the parks, green bazaar and Abay Metro are all within 15 - 30 minutes' walk. Thanks Erken for offering a free service of driving us to the airport .

me and my friend staye at this cozy hotel just for a couple of nights. staff was helpful and always with smile. romms of the hotel are really cosy, cleaning ladies does their job perfectly and thr rooms are always very clean. all in all, i enjoyed my stay, af for sure i would love to come back here next time.

This hotel is right next to a restaurant. It is also very close to a supermarket for folks needing to buy grocery and fruits. A food court is also available in the supermarket as well. Astana is divided by the river, and this hotel is located on the east side of the river. You can take bus number 40 and pay 90 tenge to get to Baiterek. Once you get there, almost ...

The hotel staff spoke good English and were helpful. We wanted to buy transport cards and the staff told us in detail the way and location to do so. When we asked for some hot water from the cafe's bartender for instant noodles bought from outside, she was eager to assist. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The food of breakfast was quite good. Although the locati...

Stayed here for 6 nights for business. Always glad to come back to the hotel after a day's work. Rooms were modern (check out the shower - never seen this anywhere else) and clean. Lots of power plugs available and the room is very well designed with a traveler's needs in mind. Used the reception to help arrange taxi service almost everyday while I was there. They spea...

Not much value for money. Also, they charge an additional 6000 tenge each and every time you want to swim in the pool - 35 dollars for a swim on top of the room price? (Though this extra fee is not posted) Ridiculous. Better to stay at a cheaper hotel up the street and just pay for a swim. There was a breakfast; but it was disgusting: under-cooked eggs that were c...

I stayed at the Red Village for about one week, as it was my first time in Astana, It seems to be conveniently located and close to the city center, bus stops are close by,the hotel appears to be fairly new, with nice clean room, with friendly always willing to help.WiFi was good, however a couple of small things that need some improvement, there was not a single English ch...

PLUS. good position and shining entrance hall. breakfast quite rich, more east side taste, good. standard room, bed comfortable and big. MINUS. Bathtub was not very clean and bath products quite poor (soap was already opened). minibar empty, you should ask to reception everytime. no complementary water or tea, which instead I found in other facilities.

The hotel features a gym and a restaurant. The restaurant offers some of the popular western food, incl. pizza, pasta, etc, at reasonable prices. The taste of the food was not bad. The staff in the restaurant and the hotel lobby spoke fairly good English, and were pretty helpful. The only disappointing thing is perhaps the breakfast, which tasted "not bad" because the ...

First of all, this hotel was really hard to find as the highway that was supposed to have a turn going right into it is closed, so it took a really long time to find. The staff took two days to honor my Agoda/Booking rate when I paid and forced me to pay full price. The hotel has otherwise clean and decent facilities: good shower (slow drain, but hot water as soon as t...

We stayed at this hotel for almost 2 weeks and we found the electricity connection problem in this hotel. So, we asked for their electricity engineer to fix the problem. After fix the problem, we request some document explained the reason of electricity problem but the manager refused our request and denied the electricity problem in hotel. Even the manager shifted the...

In this hotel Staff is always a weak point. I have been staying in this hotel few times and I didn't like their customer service. This time it was even worst, even General Manager cannot meet 5 stars Hotel expectation. The way how they treat their customers it is undetectable. First it has started from diner at the restaurant, I have order minestrone soup, when they b...

Very good experience in this hotel. Clean, big and very courteous staffs. Had arranged airport transfer and also transport via hotel to my meetings. always through Islam(Not sure if this is correct spelling though) very polite and always smiling although never talk much as we have language barrier. reception staff which i spoke with a kind petite lady Lashyn and Aibek ...

This is an expensive but excellent hotel and I would stay here again. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Good location, comfy bed, good shower, good Wifi, good staff. I did get charged extra for an early check in which I was not aware of until I checked out.
