Namibia hotels & accommodations

I was doing a tour of Southern Africa (highly recommended, by the way) and I had a day in Windhoek before I got my tour to the Namib desert started. It was a great choice. Great staff and nice amenities. The room was awesome. I just wish I would have brought my golf clubs.

one of the best hotels I've been to in Namibia! Bedroom, livingroom and toilet are luxuriously spacious, and well-furnished. Hot water with good pressure, and great view of the sea. Very well situated next to the beach and restaurants. Staff also very helpful. Will definitely stay here when I return to Swakopmund!

We stayed 4 nights, the location of the room (512) was next to houskeeping, so doors banging, loud noises. I don't understand why housekeeping is located on same floor as guest. Food at sky bar need improvment, given the costs. A dry, tough kebak is not what one expect from a 5 star hotel. Strange smell in toilet- no extractor fan- so we had to leave the door open all ...

Hotel is located in Kleine Kuppe. Will need transport to go to town area for meeting. Take about 15 minutes to reach the CBD area in Independence Avenue. Surrounding hotel have Lady Pohamba hospital and shopping mall such as Grove Mall. Hotel staff is friendly and hotel breakfast is not bad.

The Swakopmund hotel is my preferred hotel in Swakopmund, where I have visited more than 20 times in the last 3 years. My client generally makes my reservation, this time I did, through Agoda, and got a better rate! It is nice, clean, comfortable, with good facilities and location. The in-room Wi-Fi generally works very well, there was a slight glitch this time as they...

Forget the brand hotels, this place offers spacious clean modern apartments right in the heart of Livingstone. The staff is friendly and helpful, easy walking distance to mall/markets/restaurants, we couldn't ask for anything more. There is a full kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/utensils so good for longer stay as well as a one night hop.

I simply wanted a decent place to stay for 2 nights over a weekend. The Agoda special price was a steal. The hotel is all as described in the review heading. There is no restaurant or bar, they are not needed because plenty of outside options nearby, and who patronizes hotel bars and restaurants anyway? That said, the breakfast was very good and plentiful. The rooms ar...

We were a group of 6 all over 60 and upon arrival, one of our toilets was leaking. The staff was accommodating and made a change of cabins and all was well. We would have liked an individual kettle and cups in each cabin, however, we were given a kettle to use in the bama - problem solved. We enjoyed the festive bar-b-que evening planned by the Lodge and the breakfa...

good , nice vieuw on th bay , the vieuw of the flamingo's , by the hunderd birds , the sea lions , and all to see from the terras , also nearby the harbour , with some nice restaurants ,and with the car only five minutes from the town center. not a big breakfast , but more than enough

Our family stayed over for 1 night at Paragon Cresent Suites. On arrival between 4h30pm - 4h45pm there was no one to welcome us at the reception / administration office to ensure a smooth check-in. I had to ask for assistance for another company on the same premises to please assist us, the lady then informed me that Paragon Cresent Suites' office are closed for th...

The hotel was excellent value for money and exceeded all expectations. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The let us check in early and upgraded us to a room with a view when we arrived. The breakfast set up is fantastic with so much delicious food and great service. All...

On our recent trip to Namibia we stayed for two nights an Pension Steiner, both at the beginning and at the end of our stay. It is a quiet, pleasant small hotel tucked away at the end of a quiet street in the central city. It is easy to walk to other central attractions and one of the main shopping malls is literally opposite the hotel. The staff were very helpful, bot...

My husband and me spent two good nights at Beach Lodge. Because it was a rather short notice booking, we had to accept a standard room, as all the suites were fully booked. As a standard room, it pleasantly surprised us ! It had a lovely private balcony and the totally unspoilt views of the beach was utterly beautiful, both from the balcony and our bed alike ! The bath...

Good sized clean room, which was practical and enabled us to park right outside. Whilst the room was good, the overall experience at the camp was a little contrived and rather too many children. The three-course meal included was poor, with small portions and the reality of the food certainly not matching the descriptions on the menu.

I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming reception and very efficient staff who booked me in for my overnight stay, pre and again post my 6 day tour of Namibia. The room I slept in on my first visit was neat and welcoming. There was a slight leak from the shower which wet the bathroom floor and staff were most appreciative when informed about this. I was given a gro...

Reaching the lodge we were very excited, a lot of wildlife on the way and a beautiful reception area. The chalets were another story all together, a bit outdated and surely more suitable for families that solo travelers. But the worst was the dinner !! As the lodge is far from the city no choice but to eat there. Food was over priced, not enticing and surely not what t...

This is an amazing place to stay if you plan on staying in the same place for a few days. Very central. Walking distance to the jetty and the town and restaurants. Coffee shops close by. The rooms are spotless with the best linen and extra luxuries. I would recommend this to a friend as well as stay here again.

We stayed for one night only on our way from Etosha, altough we wish we stayed longer as the nature there is beautiful. We end up having dinner as well which was absolutelly amazing. Staff as well as owner were nice and friendly and generally it was one of the best places we stayed in during our holiday. Highly recommended.

Needed to have a hotel on the way to the airport. Trans Kalahari Inn is situated at about 15 minutes drive to Hosea Kutako airport. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel has a nice terrace with spectacular view. The organisation was a little bit chaotic since they had a hard time finding my booking. They worked for about an hour searching their email to find the...
Cheap places to stay in Namibia

Liked the place and the location. They didn’t have my reservation in their system when I arrived and tried to charge me for a more expensive room. I had proof of my reservation on my phone and was able to get a room for the price I had booked after some convincing. The worst experience was when the staff called me a taxi back to Windhoek when I checked out of the hoste...

The location is really bad. It is far away from city center and you have to wait at least 30 mins for a taxi. And most drivers don;t know this place. There is no food/breakfast served and there is no restaurant nearby. If you want a breakfast, try your luck with a taxi. The room is clean but there is no other facilities in the hotel there is no public area for you to...

Very nice, unusual and originally designed lodge with German-speaking management between Windhoek and Etosha. The dinner on the terrace overlooking the waterhole is great. Also the breakfast was excellent. The staff was very helpful, printed out the boarding passes for the return flight and washed our car. Our room was very large, with its own terrace, from which you c...

My wife and I traveled down from Swakopmund to Noordoewer and stopped at Savanna Guest Farm on the way. We absolutely loved being in the middle of nowhere (we live in the hustle and bustle in Seoul, South Korea). We loved the hospitality we received - we were warmly welcomed, shown the walking trail on the farm and we sat down to a home cooked meal. The milky way is so...

Everything overall was really nice and pleasant. The property is safe and has its own car park (4-5 vehicles available, provided with a remote key), breakfast is great. The room was very clean, the lady kindly gave us (a newly married couple) a good spacious room. Laundry service was also nice and quick. Also very close to some action in the city.

Our stay was enjoyable with the exception of nearby barking dogs the entire night through. These were not owned by the hotel so not their fault but kept me from sleeping as they barked the whole night through. The grounds are lovely, peaceful during the day with birdlife and interesting hotel "pets" a warthog and some goats along with an aviary that housed several parr...

Mainly went for the big cat tour which was good. Booked a safari tent which was one of two, it had dated a lot since the photos were taken and did not match the scenery. It wasn’t very appealing. Even though you’re in a tent there was no fan in there and there isn’t any fridge. Asked if there was a fridge to keep some of our perishables but there was nothing available...

There were six of us in our group. We were made welcome and shown to our rooms, which were clean and pleasant; our hostess made sure we had all we needed, and assured us that an early breakfast was no object. The breakfast was good, with fresh fruit salad, yoghurts and cereals on offer, along with a cooked breakfast, toast and coffee/tea. The area outside was quiet and...

A one night stay after arriving late into Windhoek. After a little confusion about my booking the manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the B&B had suffered a lighting strike that knocked out WiFi but otherwise the room was comfortable and very clean. For a longer stay there is a very nice garden area and pool. Breakfast was very good with a go...

Very flexible ! (Unlike the car-rental company Aloe.) Our flight was delayed for over 48 hours and we were afraid we lost our booking. We were very happy that they were willing to alter the dates to the end of our journey instead of the beginning. Than we were back in Windhoek 1 day early and again no problem. We enjoyed the quiet place and friendly hosting! Don't do...

Hettie and husband Rean run this gem, in the middle of virtually nowhere. We arrived at sunset, after having to change a shredded tyre just kms from the village close-by. Rean heard of our ordeal and without asking he was on the phone calling suppliers so we could get a new spare tyre the next morning, this on a Sunday evening. Dinner was delicious country fare, roast ...

African hotels usually fall down on execution. Electrical and plumbing issues typically. This tends to detract from the obvious charm of their welcomes and huge investment in facilities; often in challenging environments. This is not one of those hotels. It was of the highest standard of delivery by any standards. That made it a holiday from the other hotels we hav...

When we arrive there are many tourists and not enough staff. So nobody shows you where your room is, nobody comes to carry your luggage. I had the impression of being in a factory with people everywhere and I don't enjoy. But i liked the diner outside. It was great and good.
