Find Hotels in Nigeria

I went to Lagos, Nigeria in April 2019 and stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Reception is a bit messy because somehow the price at the website and at the hotel is different and I have to pay more. I book an airport transfer from the airport which cost around 7500 naira. I stayed at 5th floor. The room is great, the bed was very comfortable. It has couch and working table. But somehow, it didn't have menu for ordering food. I have to ask after staying there for 2 days. The bathroom is a bit disappointing because it doesn't have the plug for the bathtub. Other amenities r just enough. Breakfast is a blast. It has egg station, local food, fruits, salads, breads, International food, sereals and coffee. Staying more than 2 days, it helps me not to get bored. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend u to stay here when u visit Lagos, Nigeria.

the hotel was clean and well-maintained, although the age is starting to show with some electricity sockets falling apart. had a terrible experience with the front desk over payment - perhaps they are not used to working with online bookings, credit card bookings. had to email several times before the issue was resolved. it was slightly frustrating when on the last day of my 6-night stay, upon check-out, the front desk still asked if i had made my payment.

This is the first time have had to say this but this Sheraton should not have the right to use the Sheraton brand. The best feature of this hotel is the staff who were excellent and helpful at all times - definitely five-star and a credit to the Sheraton brand. The downstairs facilities (coffee shop, restaurants, bars, swimming pool and and fitness centre) were certainly very close to 5 star. i would say the food was almost 5 star. However the rooms were 2-3 star at best. We stayed in rooms on the club floor which could only be considered 3 star. A friend was initially given a room on a lower floor but it was so awful that he complained and they moved him to the club floor. Quite simply the property is too old and needs to be drastically renovated. In contrast we visited many other very small, no name hotels in Abuja which could not have the same five-star downstairs facilities but had far superior rooms.

The Federal Palace is on Victoria Island, which is a reasonable trek from the airport. However, for those of us who have an Amex Corporate company credit card, it is one of only a few hotels in Lagos where it is accepted. The hotel is relatively new and has been maintained really. Very secure. Bedrooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. Staff are exceptional. Incredibly polite and courteous. The only fly in the ointment, is the price of food in the hotel; (although I am told this is normal for Nigeria)for instance breakfast was N6420 (£25 roughly). Would recommend this hotel for business travellers.

This hotel is probably the best hotel to stay in Victoria Island. You feel extremely safe while here. The location is also quite central, we had no problem getting around (I must add that we drove everywhere) as most people do Nigeria, especially if you are a tourist. The bed is probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the bedroom was massive, so I was pleasantly surprised. The bar is really nice, it is a sort of rooftop bar. The only negative is the price of the hotel, it is over-priced and the staff while polite were not the most competent. Nevertheless there is no way of escaping the high prices in Nigeria. The price of the restaurants in the hotel, while it may be worth it, the breakfast was naira, so approximately. Overall if I go back to Victoria Island, this hotel would be my onnly option.

This property was previously owned by the Intercontinental. Now it’s called the Continental and owned by the government . This is my second stay. When it was the intercontinental, it was well kept. 5 star hotel easily. Now it’s a 3 star at best. There were bugs in our bed. They tried to move us to another room. The other room had blood stains in he bed. Disgusting . Also the bathroom smelled like fish! The hotel has a strong order when you hit the door. Go stay at the Radison Blu on VI or the EKO hotel. This is not a good property.

Pros including daily housekeeping, friendly staff, good restaurant food Cons including no warm or hot water, hotel credit card machines did not always work so card is denied even it is a working card, said would have bursary see me to get Nigeria get money but that never happened so i felt stranded with no credit i could use there plus no Nigeria money. Fortunately a local friend took me to an ATM for nigeria money.

Strange management and website posting. There are two hotels with one management with same name, one is a classic hotel tucked away in some residential area and the other is Hotels and Suites prominently located by a central shopping mall. It's easy to get confused and lost given the similarity. Don't except management or front staff to find your booking, you need your booking ID number to be given a room that remains unclean for the entire duration. It's worth noting that ground staff could be friendly and support when they get to know you. Not so for their managers who didn't care one way or the other when a guest mixed up hotel arrangements resulting in name confusion.

I was placed in the wrong room when I arrived. Next day I had to move all my luggage on my own to another room. The ac on the new room was dripping water on one bed constantly . After 4 days a so call repair guy came many times and never could fix the AC. I was given another room and had to move all my stuff. In that new room, the AC was making noise all the time. There was no phone in this room. The outlets didn’t work . Our food got spoiled in the Fridge cause we had left for 2 days to stay where my nephew stayed just to take a break from this hotel. I saw a mouse and mouse pellet/ poop on one of the bed. I didn’t tell my son cause he would have insisted that we leave this place. They drove us to the synagogue but didn’t pick us up and when I called them this is then we were told we had to find our way back. It’s was a hot mess
