My plan to Hamburg was kind of short notice so I didn't have much time to search for the hotels. Courtyard was my only choice after looking around. And this is worth all the cost. The hotel is nice & clean, breakfast & dinner at restaurant are good. The staff are very friendly & nice. The location is also good, just a few minutes to Beliner Tor then you can connect to other U-bahn stations. The surrounding area is convenient with supermarket, pharmacy, fastfood in case you need something. If I come back to Hamburg, for sure this should be my choice again.

Walking distance from Hamburg Central Station”
Courtyard by Marriott is walking distance from the Hamburg Central Train Station thus it is very convenient to roam around the city. It is a new hotel which as per the receptionist, just opened last September 2019. The receptionists are very accommodating and even permitted early check in and late check out. We will definitely book this hotel again if ever we will return to Hamburg.

Great Stay”
Staff was friendly and very helpful. The stay was comfortable and lighting was good in the room. Bed was comfy though we do find it rather soft compared to our personal preference. Gym and sauna was great :) Loved it.

Within walking distance to the train station. Near to bus stop and u bahn. Hotel is very nice and neat.check in fast and smooth and the front office staffs are very friendly.

Modern and new hotel with clean rooms. Close to the central station and 10 minutes from shopping area. Good breakfast buffet. The only side is that it's placed in a bit of a dodgy are and also the hotel didn't offer toiletries other than shampoo etc.

expected a bit more due to the Marriott in the name. mini bar not available in room, only at reception. No door at shower. No slipper. Expected to get cleaned coffee mugs after cleaning.

Problems with the parking”
On Saturday night, the hotel parking lot was full. First of all, the notification that the parking lot was full has been written in German only. Second, we called the staff and he gave us a list of 4 parking lots nearby that we can use. We asked the closest one but he told us that they were about the same distance from the hotel. However, we found out that one was 1.5 km away while there was one right across the steet from the hotel. I feel that the staff should at least give us the correct information. Also, the hotel should better provide us with a parking lot that is not so far from the hotel. Also, the list did not specify which floor of the parking building that we are allowed to park. Some floors were dedicated to private parking but all such things were in German that we had hard time understanding. As a result, we spent more than an hour trying to park our car at an allowable lot that is not so far from the hotel. Such efforts could have been saved if we were given clearer instructions. Lastly, the external parking lot that we parked our car was closed on Sunday that we could not use it to drive to places that we planned to go. We asked the staff why the parking building is locked but they just told us that we have to figure out why on our own which I felt was an irresponsible attitude for staff at a 4 star rated hotel.

A satisfied biz traveler ”
The hotel is about 8 min walk from Central station and 4 min walk from Belinar Tor U-station. Convenient. The hop-off Hop On stop is just near central station too. I love the pork belly dish at the hotel restaurant. I dined two nights at the hotel, because of pork belly meal.
