Short stay in Budapest”

The host will contact you and send a PDF file with very clear instructions how to enter the building. It has pictures and very clear markings how and where to go. You first have to go threw an old halway but once youre in the room its amazing. Good wifi, nice shower and clean kitchen with microwave. Everything is done without meeting the host. We had to check-out a 2.00am and it was without a problem. Recommend it
If you are with a car it can be problematic. You can stop the car next to the Kempinski hotel for 5 minutes to drop your luggage, but if you want to park it for a longer time, you will have to find a diferent solution. But if you use public transport, you are fine. There is a metro line 5min walk away.

The location was amazing. Right in the heart of the city and walking distance of everything. The big bed was comfortable, there were 3 sofa beds too that we used and these were good. The apartment was warm and the check in simple and very easy.
We had to ask for soap and toilet rolls and extra sheets for the chair beds. The tv was broken, attempted to fix it and then nothing further. No contact about the TV. Same for the coffee machine, reported broken and no response. The walls are thin, but the neighbour is pretty hilarious, strong views. He gets up at 6:30am.

Brace yourself - Not quite as described”

A big shock and an honest review (I am very suspicious of some of the other reviews that were left after this experience). Firstly let me say I really liked the physical location and LOVED Budapest. The apartment was really central and once out on the street the vibe and feel of the area was great..... Then you enter the street door... (That is where it gets shocking - I will go into that in a minute) The main bedroom was a good size, and the kitchen was adequate.
OK, you NEED to know this before booking the apartment. Firstly, the advert does NOT mention that once you enter the 'Fancy door on the street' you are obliged to walk down a 30-meter-long dark, damp, graffiti-ridden ridden alleyway to get to the ACTUAL entrance to the apartment. As you walk down this dodgy, unlit alley, you walk about 10m and pass through an open set of doors into the secondary alley which is the rubbish bin storage area of a hollow, tubular 8 or 9-storey apartment building that has what seems like hundreds of balconies facing inwards towards each around a small central courtyard. You quickly shuffle to the 'actual' doors of the apartment and are immediately struck by the terrible state they are in..... and, after running the gauntlet in the unlit alleyway, you honestly get a bit of a 'Am I walking to my death' vibe. Once in the lobby, you are presented with a metal elevator door which to your utter relief opens to a beautiful wooden interior....and all feels right in the world again. The elevator ascends and the doors open and you are presented with Ghetto-like steel security gates at the apartment's front door. The door to the apartment finally opens and the first impressions are 'WOW, this looks great!' and then the overpowering smell of old leftover curry hits you right in the back of your throat (Probably from previous tenants) ANYWAY, you finally get over all of this and settle in to have a glorious shower from the advertised pictures. It all looks incredible until you turn on the tap.... at which point a tropical storm-level spray of water sprays over the shower curtain and drenches the furthest recesses of the bathroom before you have a chance to react and turn it off. After all that you open the curtains and realise you have no other view than the central courtyard... Other than that it was great.

The apartment's location is undoubtedly one of its best assets. Situated at the heart of the city, it provided us with easy access to numerous attractions. Bus stops and tram stations were mere walking distances away, making exploring the city a breeze. This level of connectivity enhanced our overall travel experience, saving us valuable time while allowing us to soak in the essence of the city. I would definitely recommend this apartment to fellow travelers.

The apartment is close to the city center (basically on the main street), close to the shops, subway, airport bus and trams. It was clean and spacious. The owner provided cosmetics and towels. Checking in was pretty simple.
The neighbours were noisy,someone was walking outside in the middle of the night and within the building.
