Outstanding Thermal Place!”
We have stayed atn the Ensana (previously Danubius) many times over the last 15 years - and it never fails to impress with its wonderful thermal facilities, comfortable rooms (much upgraded and updated over the years) and excellent breakfast. The only thign we miss from our early stays were the delicious Hungarian items that would be offered for breakfast - it's much more of a generic international buffet now, and while it's very good (and certainly will satisfy every appetite), it's not especially memorable or local in the way the buffet items always used to be. But this is a small issue - the overall experience at Thermal Margaret Island is first class and we look forward to our next visit!

Beautiful place, wonderful hotel, peaceful surroundings”
Budapest is a beautiful place to visit, and the hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The location is peaceful . If there is a downside it is how far from the centre of Budapest, but we enjoyed walks along the island taking in the views to get to the sights of Budapest. Some work was going on around the hotel and the island but this didn't inconvenience us in any way and we were given a complimentary massage for our stay during these works. The staff were friendly and met all our requirements when asking about tours/travel etc.

Great Hotel with super SPA facilities on the Margarete Island in the heart of the city. Lovely rooms with big enough space. Comfortable beds. Kindly hotel staff. Wonderful breakfast in european style. Recommended for Your couple and business stay too. Nightlife on the Island during the peak period is perfect. Romantic place for evening walk on the Danube riverside. Transportation is very convenient from the hotel.

Exceptional”
Fabulous hotel on Margarit Island. Beautiful surroundings (if you are in to flowers, river views, tranquility, etc.). The room and the bathroom was exquisitely designed. We liked it so much that we took photos for renovation ideas of our own house. The only negative was the bath towels. Thin and bare. Everything else was 5 star but the bath towels were a shocking disappointment.

Amazing hotel, so many treatments to choose from, amazing facilities ”
The pros are that by the end of my stay I felt well and trueley pampered. Breakfast was slightly different every day, the spa and wellness centre were great, the thermal pool was superb. The only con was the construction work going on, once the construction is done I'm sure it will look amazing.

Good spa hotel,good breakfast, lots of pools”
We had a lovely stay at this hotel that is located on the margrete Island between Buda and Pest! Nice area with lots of parks and a waterland close by, only 15min walk or 1min with the bus that stops close Tony the hotel! That bus also took you right into the city for shopping! West End Mall.. Took you about 15mins to get to the center! Nice to walk to the city aswell.. The indoor pools were great, they also had an outside pool that was ok, personally I thought it was a little too cold in that pool! Overall a good hotel for families and other travellers!

Nice hotel for relaxation and for enjoying health baths. The staff is helpful and kind. The rooms are clean but the hotel needs some refurbishing. Free wife should be a must in the room - unfortunately only free around the reception area. Very few dinning and bar alternatives in and around the hotel. They were also closing too early.

This was an amazing hotel. Fabulous location on a beautiful island only 10 minutes bus ride from the city centre. The facilities at the hotel were excellent with thermal pools and steam and sauna facilities. The food was yummy! A buffet service for breakfast with so much choice. Evening meals could be taken until 11pm in the adjacent sister hotel. The vegetarian choices were limited but were delicious.

Relaxing comfortable stay”
We had requested a double bed when booking well in advance and when this was not available requested a cancellation of our 3 nights stay. We were promptly upgraded to a Junior Suite on 9th floor. This gave us amazing views of the river and city, a good breakfast where the lady spoke English well and gave us advice on where to go and what to see. There were few English speaking staff and guest relation were not geared for the individual English speaking self guided travellers that we were. Breakfast would be boring after 3 days of same options. The place is a bit tired but rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The island is quiet by night and restful but only a bus trip,away from centre. We used rom service on our first night and it was quick and meal good. Free secure car parking is available but not undercover. If you have the time, 2-3 days here to just relax and use the spa pools then 2 days in city centre to see the sights would be perfect.

the hotel is located on an island in the danube but is easy to get into the city by using the number 26 bus on the island then using the trams & the metro. the island itself is well worth exploring and although the hotel has a small swimming pool there is an olympic sized pool on the island along with an open air theatre.

The rooms were clean and spacious but the bathrooms were small and tight and the toilet was somewhat "different", from most other toilets. The hotel facilities were not sufficient, like dining for lunch or dinner was at the next building. This hotel is in a great location and the pool & spa facilities are excellent but the hotel in general needs a facelift!

We went there with children and a granny. And all of us found something fun to do at this hotel or nearby. A place where we loved to spend time all together was the thermal swimmimg pool. Stuff is friendly ... for Hungary ;) Breakfast is ok ... for Hungary :)

Great surroundings, good service”
we stayed in a junior suite for a week. room was ok, but nothing special. breakfast in the 9th floor was basic but sufficient, day when booked beforehand for the whole week. hotel staff was very helpful, even with a small problem with our room. spa area was nice, although the outdoor pool was quite small. general appearance of the hotel was a bit shabby. surroundings however was very nice.
