Great wooden bungalows surrounded by greenery, awesome place to relax in the middle of the guesthouse. I regret we were there only for one night. I had a good night sleep even though there was some noise from the mosques nearby. Extremely nice and helpful owners - they took us on scooter to the train station with our big 30kg luggage at 6AM! They organise trips to Ijen Volcano. I hope I will come back there someday.

Love love love the rustic theme of th homestay. I love that the common space is so cozy and welcoming. The free breakfast was great and hearty! Maya provided all the necessary information for our trip to kawah Ijen and to bromo. This is the perfect homestay for tourists heading to Ijen crater.

Amazing value for money, beautiful garden...and people!”

This was the last stop on our trip to Indonesia and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Maya and Djoko were wonderful hosts and from the moment we made the booking kept in touch by email to make sure everything went smoothly, warning us which station to get off the train from and then meeting us there to bring us to the homestay. They also arranged a car and driver for our trip up to Ijen Crater. The bungalows are lovely and the garden setting is stunning. Bear in mind that this is a homestay and you are expected to wash and clean up after yourself. Other than breakfast there is no food available but it can be ordered in from a nearby restaurant and there is a plentiful supply of free filtered water and cheap soft drinks and beer (trust me, beer at an affordable price is rare in Indonesia). The only caveat is that it is quite a long distance from the centre of Banyuwangi and there is not much in the immediate vicinity. If we had been staying longer, we would probably have got bikes!

Maya was very helpful in arranging transportation for our day trip and very friendly towards her guests. Djoko was a jovial man and we thoroughly enjoyed his company on our day trip! Too bad that we didn't get to properly bid farewell to Djoko. Will be back next time!

An excellent comfortable place to stay. No a/c but a fan, no TV but I don't want one, just a lovely natural wood and rattan structure with comfortable mosquito netted bed and a surprisingly modern outdoor bathroom. All wrapped up by the welcoming hosts who are fully able to help and answer your questions and travel needs. Breakfast we didn't get to try as, like most people I imagine, we were up early to walk to Ijen crater but combined with other activity would be late back so the breakfast box of egg and tomato sandwich with fruit was most welcome. Just one of those places with great feel about it that you'd be more than happy to recommend.

The room is clean and lovely, natural style. Maya and Djoko are so kind! They helped us with everything even called and talked with the driver for us. And she arranged the car in Bali for us. The best host we've ever met! We wish we could stay there longer.

I didn't expect much from a homestay/B&B usually, plus this place is quite cheap, so I was thinking, "Oh well, as long as I have a bed and shower." But when I arrived, boy oh boy was I blown away. The rooms are like cottages/bungalows, with traditional design but modern amenities. Semi outdoor shower (with hot water), modern toilet, everything is clean. They have a lounge area where you can just chill, and a shared kitchen where you can cook. Fridge full of all kinds of drinks you can just grab (write your name on a list and pay when you check out). Breakfast is pancake (yummy) but you can also order egg. Location is not too far from Karangasem train station, but to go around you still need a taxi. This will be easily arranged by Maya & Djoko, the lovely owners. In fact, they can arrange everything you wanna do while in Banyuwangi. We had Ijen tour and Menjangan snorkeling tour arranged by them, with affordable price and top notch quality. Not so easy to get food nearby, but they provide delivery service. There's a menu you can choose from, and they will order it for you. All yummy and cheap! Maya and Djoko are amazing hosts as well. Super friendly, very helpful, speak perfect English. She contacted me on WhatsApp the morning before I arrived, to arrange my pickup from the station. We stayed only for 2 nights but next time I come to Banyuwangi I will not even bother to find other accommodation. Didu's Homestay has everything I need (and more).

Didu's Homestay is like your own home in Java! Moreover, Maya and Djoko will take great care of you ! Maya makes wonderful breakfasts, you can order for traditional food or pizza for cheap prices or also use the kitchen to cook by yourself. Room is clean and so beautiful! The common area is peaceful and very well decorated! I recommend everyone to go there!

Staying in Didu's is like a dream.. you get transported into a different world where you are surrounded by greenery, beautiful things & people, have a soothing sleep even when it's scorching hot outside and woken up by the call of roosters in the morning :) It's the perfect get away from the urban chaos. Maya also helped me book a really nice guide for the Ijen tour, additionally also helped with my Bromo planning. A homestay to be not missed in Banyuwangi.

Pros: 1. Very warm and lovely hosts 2. Yummy home delivery food - even though the delivery cost of 10k rupiah is a bit high given the price of one main is 20k rupiah. 3. Little holiday villa, full of greenery. Would have loved to explore the village a little more. Things to note: 1. Take the pick up from the train station to didu's unless you are up for a short adventure. Asnwe discovered, it's 500m from the train station thru a dirt track. Would help if signs towards didu's were put up as we were walking in the pitch dark. Thankfully I had roaming so i could call Maya if not we would be stranded. 2. The hot shower is not consistent and runs out halfway through a shower at times. Will be good if it's warmer and the flow stays. 3. If you are a light sleeper, please bring ear plugs. Mornings and evenings are very noisy with the animals as well as village sounds. 4. Would be nice to have some creamer for coffee and tea - tho i eventually enjoyed it black.

We arrived on a evening and left in the afternoon, but we still have enjoyed a lot at Didu's homestay. By being in an natural area with a very clean and nice bungalow. In the morning, having a walk in the garden was lovely, and socializing with the other guests made us feel like we were home. Everything felt so good, the staff, the location,the food, and the bungalow. If you are around you should definitely visit at Didu's homestay.

L’hôtel est formidablement bien décoré, offre un environnement simple et paisible avec de bonne chambre. Le personnel est super et correspondait avec nous sur whatsapp pour tout organiser (y compris le Kawah Ijen avec un très bon guide). On aurait aimé rester plusieurs jours ici mais pas le temps !

素晴らしい朝食、無料のコーヒーと紅茶、また冷蔵庫が解放されていて後精算で自由に飲むことができます。アルコールも置いてあります。 少し街の中心部から離れていますが、食事のデリバリーも出来ますし自転車やバイクを借りることもできるので問題ありません。 私は近くにあるWarung Guritaまで歩きました。ここはかなり美味しくてオススメです。他の宿泊者はデリバリーを頼んで庭で食事されていました。 素敵なバンガローはオーナーのお二人の手作りのようです。扇風機だけでも涼しく、防虫剤が効いているのか虫も寄ってこなくて驚きました。温かいシャワー、可愛い装飾のお部屋、清潔感、全てが満足です。 周りは何もないので静かですが、朝は鶏の鳴き声に起こされます笑 エリアの中心部にはハンモックもある大きな共用のスペースがあります。落ち着いて過ごせる空間でした。 オーナーのマヤさんは日本語を少し話すことが出来ます。ジョコさんは日本語は喋れませんが、お二人には親切にして頂きました。 到着したのは夕方頃でしたが、イジェンへのツアーを良心的な価格ですぐに手配してくれました。空港へのトランスポート等、お願いしたものは全て何の問題もなく用意して頂き、感謝しています。 特に値切り交渉をする必要が無い価格を最初から提示してもらえるのは色々な意味で信頼できました。 イジェンぐらいしかやることないし2回もバニュワンギに来ることはないだろうなと思っていましたが、ここまで居心地が良い時間を過ごせるとは思っていなかったのでまた訪問したいと考えています。 ジョコさんからWelcome home!と最初に言われたのですがまさにその通りで嘘偽り無しの素晴らしい場所です。人気があるのも納得です。 またいつか泊まりたいと思っています。2日間ありがとうございました。

Kami menginap disini pada awal Juni 2017. Model Homestay ini sangat bagus, bergaya etnik Bali & lingkungannya tenang karena terletak di pedesaan (sekitar 1,2 KM dari Stasiun KA Karangasem). Sarapan sederhana. Pemiliknya (ibu Maya & pak Joko) sangat ramah, mereka juga akan membantu keperluan tur/wisata para tamu2nya.
