Best Hostel I've been to”
The best Hostel experience I've had by far. The entire place feels incredibly warm and cozy. I chose a cube for my stay and had plenty of room (190cm). It's also extremely quite at night due to the woods good sound isolation. Common space was well equiped and made guests feel very comfortable. I enjoyed being able to meet other guests, many of whom have come back repeatedly. I won't hesitate to book here again.

Comfy! ”
I had a great time staying there. First when I enter the house, it has the comfiest lobby/sofa room ever with some bossanova jazz playing in the background. Then, the host/staff were so friendly. The guy also recommended me a restaurant near there. It is a dorm, so there are a few other people who stay there for a long time, don't hesitate to join their conversation! The room was really quiet, so great to sleep. Everything was clean as well. Therr are skincare product available in the bathroom. Love my stay there. - the location is in the middle of neighborhood, pretty far (for me especially when I bring my luggage) to walk to the bus stop. - it's pretty hard to put my luggage in the room because of the limited space.

Exceptional”
Really lovely, quiet, and peaceful place to stay. Out of the main tourist area, so not convenient for those attractions if that’s why you’re in Kyoto. For me, that was the attraction! I’d already “seen the sites” on a previous trip, so I really wanted to experience a different side to Kyoto. Recommended!

Welcoming, friendly and scrupulously clean”
I stayed here in a large room with 2 kids (one was under one). The manager was a legend, and made us all feel welcome and recommended great places to eat (he is a ramen fan). If you are travelling alone, stay in aa award-winning and uber-cool "pod"upstairs. (There is a ladies only section too). The only down side was that the lounge/ kitchen was located 2 doors down from the actual hostel, meaning that may end up walking on the street in your PJs (as I did..)! The facilities overall were well designed and super clean. Remember 2 things: 1) gratefully accept the manager's offer of a complimentary nip of scotch, and 2) take screen shots of the daily door codes- there are a lot of them!

Cozy and beautiful place”
The Hostel may be a little far from the center. It is very clean, there is background music throughout the hostel which creates harmony. The kitchen is cozy as is the living room. Everything is in harmony. The beds called capsules smell like wood with a large space... Everything is beautiful!

A decent stay if you're prepared.”
It sounds ominous, but it's nothing to worry about and a great place to stay if you keep a few things in mind. The location of the hostel is approximately 30mins bus ride away from JR Kyoto Station. Getting on the bus isn't an issue if you have a small amount of luggage, but if you're bringing tons of stuff with you, I wouldn't recommend it. After you alight at the bus stop, it's about a 5-10min walk away. The host was very welcoming and made an effort to make my stay as comfortable as possible. To be honest, despite the location, I enjoyed staying in a neighbourhood where there were lots of friendly residents. There were people walking about daily in the streets nearby and it offered a different side of Kyoto you don't get to see if you stay in the touristy areas. Amenities were decent and the place was very well maintained. The women-only section of the hostel was separated from the rest by a curtain and the private women's bathroom had a passcode to ensure safety, which was much appreciated. One of the things about staying in a hostel is the ambient sounds generated by neighbouring guests. I booked a "room" which was essentially a partitioned section on the same floor. While you do get some level of privacy visually, sound still travels so if you're a light sleeper this may not be for you. However, if you stay with these things in mind, you'll have a very good experience.

Situated near kinkaku-ji”
Located in a quiet street. Far from main attractions in Kyoto, but not an issue as you can take bus to attractions (less than 1h bus ride). If you are here, pay a visit to Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) as it is walking distance. Other tenants were friendly and accommodating, quiet at night and respectful in common areas.

Best hostel I've stayed in, thank you Saya-san!”
I was very impressed by the facilities this hostel provides, may seem to be minor things but they all add up to give a great experience. Rooms for the bunks are spacious and well ventilated, and there are many places to store your belongings. I was tended by Saya-san and she had been very helpful and meticulous during my stay there, superb customer service. Location of the hostel is abit distant from Kyoto station but they do have bicycle rentals at very affordable prices, plus the whole experience of the accommodation more than compensate for the distance.

Everything you need. ”
Love the little privacy I had. Very clean and organized. The staff are friendly. Just a heads up its a bit far from Kyoto station but the bus stop is easy to find. From the bus stop you need to walk to the dormitory. When you had a long day and just lazy to walk you find it far to the dormitory lol. But its just a 5-8 minutes walk depends on how fast or slow you walk. But over all I super like this place. Definitely I will go back to stay. Thank you!

Fantastic host and facilities. ”
Sui has taken great care. All dormitories come with towels. Individual beds, with a nice working and socialising space. Couldn't possibly ask for more. It's very close to some of the key highlights of Osaka. For the others, the train stations are minutes away by foot, or you can rent bicycles found at the hostel's door. Extremely happy with their service would go again :D
