Reception man was so rude”
I was arrived at the hotel around 10am then i ask if possible for early check-in (need to pay additional charge) it is fair enough then i paid for additional charge for that. The one I don’t like from his behavior when going to my reservation he teach me that reservation has not paid which his telling me that i used credit card where money just hold. I show him receipt from my bank account (debit card) that money was deducted and he still denied with his amazing knowledge. Note: should open for your system while checking in the guest to make it easy for you and customer because he didn’t open any system and just follow HIS MIND OR GUESS.

(+) -BED IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE and i love the fact that they provide curtains for some privacy -Extemely affordable prices with such great comfort -Location is quite strategic, near the old town and several cafe -Staff is very friendly and kind -HAS AC ON THE DORM and you only pay like 30k rupiah for it (what a steal!) and not to mention that the ac is always turned on (-) -Their toilet should be cleaned more often -the renovation should be done as soon as possible -MAKE THE WATER in the shower colder :))

Clean, friendly stuff, very small room but you get what you paid for. As for this price, it's perfect, we needed just a place to get some rest after hiking up to Merbabu mountain, and we the places suited perfectly.

Close to Tawang Station”
This hostel is quite new, currently they only have 1 big dormitory room which houses 16 pod style beds with curtain. With 2 even larger rooms vacant probably for future expansion. They provide 1 complimentary bottle water (although there's water dispenser), 1 small cup noodle (good for supper/breakfast), disposable toothbrush kit & shower gel (which I think is unnecessary for backpacker). The quilt, mattress, pillow, towel are all of good quality & very comfortable. The surrounding neighbourhood is somewhat of lower class. I wouldn't recommend girls to walk alone at night. There's an Alfamart 200m away.

I first stayed here back in 2017, back then it's spanking new, had only 1 dormitory 10-12 beds, the rest of the space still empty. When I saw they used marble tiles in the bathroom, I already knew it'd be tough to maintain the cleanliness of it. Fast forward to present, the dormitory is gone, the owner created many partitions, lower floor house premium rooms, while upper floor house budget single/double rooms. Budget as in a bed, a socket, an aircond, basic toiletries, 1 bottle of water & nothing else. The sheets are yellowish, not that they didn't wash it, they just didn't bleach it. The bathroom too had yellowish patches all over. I believe it's due to the underground water used for cleaning. Location wise, there's a Alfamart 5 mins walk away, at night there's a few hawker stalls right in front. I had no problem requesting Grab car/bike from/to the hostel.

Situated in a 15-20 minutes walking distance from the train station. If you want to go to Karimunjawa, don't wait for a ferry departing from Semarang(expecially in raining season). It's better to go to Jepara and getting a ferry there.

Cheap option for a short night”
We stayed in a double bedroom with shared bathroom. The room was really small and the bathroom a bit smelly... On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and the matress one of the best Ive tried in indonesia. It is 10mins walking from the old town but next to the hotel really small warungs. I would recomend this hostel for a night if you have to continue your travel and want to save money.
