I travel often and this hotel stood out! The staff always helpful and attentive to your needs. For example, they suggested what coffee I would prefer (being from Melbourne that is important) and then remembered it and brought it to me each morning without me asking. I loved the location (as I did not want to be in the tourist Rambla district) but still close to the action of Eixample! Rooms are spacious and clean. The bar and amenities are great too! I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you OD Barcelona. The only slight issue for me was the wifi. It was good when it was good, but like all hotel wifi had a tendency to log you out and look like you have ful wifi when you don’t. However, this was a minor flaw to my otherwise fantastic stay.

i chose the b-hotel from good recommendations on tripadvisor.com and was not disappointed. the rooms are clean and quite large, plenty of space for 2 girls with their shopping and luggage! do read the note cards on how to turn on the lights in the room and operate the shower, else you may think they are not working properly! we took the aerobus from prat intl airport, i think it was 4 or 6 euros. the aerobus is a loop service and placa espanya is the 1st stop from the airport. travel time was maybe 30minutes or less, we arrived in the evening on a weekend and there was a bit of congestion on the highway. the rooftop pool is a sight to behold, beautiful unblocked views of plaza espanya, sit with a cocktail and watch the world go by, great for sunbathing! the lap pool is very shallow and great for having a dip to cool down. we were there in early october (supposedly fall/autumn) and it was still very warm n sunny. clear blue skies and 30 degrees celsius in the day. the shopping mall next to b hotel is called arenas. not very interesting shops but the lower ground level has a supermarket called mercadona, great for getting food to bring up to the room! our standard room came with a mini bar fridge and an in-room safe, flatscreen tv, bathtub with shower head, the toilet area with bidet has a separate door for privacy. i have read of reviews that the bathroom might not be in the best shape, but ours on room 104 was great. we faced a side street so did not have complaints about the noise, even though we were on a low floor. the cupboard space was quite adequate and there was a sofa in our room. we also had a small narrow balcony that i used to step outside for a cigarette or just to people watch! there are a few restaurants nearby including 2 tapas places. you can get the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus ticket from the reception counter at a discount, its the best and one of the cheapest way to see the sights in the city!

The room is of a normal size considering its location. But one can tell the hotel tried its best to make it as comfortable as possible. Personally speaking i think they achieved that. Someone used to complain about the glass wall between the shower and the bedroom, but there is a blind. Others complain about toilet separate from the shower, which is the most common setting in this part of Europe. The staff are just great. All the tips they gave us were extremely useful, saving a lot of time and made our visits in Barcelona smooth and enjoyable. Gracias! We didn't take breakfast in the hotel, so really can't tell about that.

I wouldn't want to stay in Eixamples area for long, but it's nice for part of a trip, and Olivia Balmes is a terrific choice in the area. The staff are very helpful and the hotel is surrounded by great places to eat, drink, etc. Be careful about restaurant recommendations, though--I asked for a booking and was told the place I'd chosen was "touristic," which was great info as I wasn't looking for a tourist experience, but the substitute the hotel chose for me was totally touristic as well.

The very friendly staff made my stay quite pleasant!!! Small room appeared much larger by the cleverly designed room divider. It was beautiful! Not a lot of space for luggage, but it still felt luxurious. The bathroom was exceptional! Lovely shower and separate deep tub made leaving difficult. Irinya and all the other staff did their best to help accommodate my every need. I look forward to returning!

The photos doesn't do this hotel any justice. It is very beautiful. The hotel in general smell clean and fresh. Its very quiet. the fitness center is small but trust me, you can burned enough cal's, and the gym has a great view of the city. I had the duplex room when I stayed, I didn't want to leave the room because I was so in love with the room I was given. I never write a review before, but I actually would love to come back to Barcelona because of the hotel. Plus, I still have more exploring to do in Barcelona. I left my glasses there, that was the only sad part, but it was my fault. Beautiful hotel. Don't let any negative comment swayed you from booking. I work in the hotel industry, and when I was reading some of the comments I can tell you that A) People usually don't give the hotel the opportunity to fixed the issues. B) They just didn't get they way. #privileged #Entitlement . I did not get paid to write this review. I just love the hotel.

I booked this hotel with only 1 day in advance and was able to get it for an excelent price. The hotel is very neat and clean and I had a very good first impression. Unfortunately, it didn't go all the way. Don't get me wrong, we liked our stay very much. Bed was very good, room was very clean, bathroom was nice and all, but I think this hotel cannot be classified as a 4 star one. I've been to many 3 star hotels that had the same or even better facilities. The rooms were quiet but smallish. Our room window gave a a direct view to our bathroom, which wouldn't be a problem if the bathroom door wasn't made of glass.... Also, I understand hotels have check-in policies, but this was the first hotel that I went to (and I have been to many) that wouldn't even consider the possibility of an early check-in. For example, I went to a 3 star Mercure in Lisbon 5 days ago. Check-in time was at 14h, but I arrived at 8h. I asked at the reception and we were lucky that our room was available, so they let us check-in. At this hotel, I arrived at 12h, check-in was at 15h. The receptionist told us to come back at 15h, didn't even check the room. They did offer to keep our luggage, which was great. But then we arrived at 14:50 and they asked us to wait 10 more minutes before checking in! Really??? In 10 minutes she would have done our check-in and at 15h we would be at the room. Also, our key card didn't work EVERY TIME we tried to open the door. We had to go to the reception and ask for a new key every single time...

This was the perfect hotel for us to stay when we went to Barcelona to visit our son who was spending the semester there. It was walking distance to most of the areas we wanted to see or a short cab ride to the others. Can't beat the price for such a great location. Also, I don't sleep well away from home, and had no problems here....that could also be because we walked and did A LOT so I might have been that tired. The staff was very polite and helpful when needed. We didn't need any additional facilities which is why I gave that 3 stars . Will absolutely recommend to my friends who are going to visit their kids!!

I hardly write hotel review unless the hotel has wow factor. First of all, ALL staffs are so helpful and friendly, location is right in the center, so close (within 5 mins walk) to the shopping areas, apple stores, hardrock cafe & etc.... In addition, you just need to walk (less than 3 mins) to the bus station to catch the Aerobus to the airport. As a foodie, we are looking for good restaurant to dine in, the staff Juan gave us few recommended restaurants and I must say all his recommendation were absolutely amazing! the best part was all of them are walking distance (my husband & I love to walk after meal). Hotel is kind of boutique hotel BUT practical, from the room layout to the bathroom facilities, all superb. Trust me, you will never go wrong by choosing Catalonia Square Hotel.

The flat is in the best location for exploring Barcelona. It's right on the Paseo de Gracia, next to two Metro stations. It's located only a few minutes walk from the Old City and about 15 minutes from Gracia. The flat is spacious and comfortable with a nice kitchen. There is also a lift, which was great, as I was staying with my parents who are a bit older. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a conveniently central location in the Eixample district. Because of its medium size, it works well for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel has function rooms for events. Our standard room was modern and had a very nice design. The room was spacious and storage areas had very adequate dimensions. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea. We had a mini-bar refrigerator and safety-deposit box. We liked the flat-screen TV and bathroom amenities (particularly the robes). All staff members were professional and competent, and pricing was competitive. We enjoyed as well the breakfast buffet that offered a good variety of dishes. For sure, we would consider this hotel again!

Enjoyed a three night break here and loved Midtown Apartments. + Excellent location close to popular attractions and La Rambla but in a quieter street. A few minutes walk and you're there in the centre. + Nearby Aerobus stop, regular airport shuttle bus for €5.90 (Taxi €30!) + Beautiful, stylish and spacious apartment with dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. Clothes drying rack and iron with ironing board. + Large, double sink bathroom and big shower cubicle makes getting ready easy. + Bluetooth speakers and option of hotel music channel. A nice touch. + Lovely pool area on the roof with excellent toilets. Great area to wait if you have to check in/out early. + Luggage room. + Feels safe and secure, using card key for doors and loft. + Metro stop nearby. + Lovely, helpful staff. + Didn't see a speck of dirt anywhere! Cleaned and maintained to a very high standard. - My courtyard view not the most exciting but pool area view compensates, could ask for room with street view.

i have stay majestic hotel for 4 nights during my spain tour. i will rate 4 stars out of 5 for this hotel. first of all, you cannot deny that it is located in a really good location, many many tourist points around this area. casa batllo, le pedrera, sagrada famillia, la rambla...etc.. so it is really good for tourists. good service with helpful staffs, it is really really good hotel with excellent quality. but there is one thing that disappointed me, the wifi & misc. charges. there is no wife service in room and you need to pay 9 euros for 1hour or 15 euros for 24 hours....omg...it is definitely not a standard for 5 stars hotel....and i have check my charges list...found that they have charged my 19euros for mb(mini bar?) and 2.9euros for city tax per person and nights. and for the mb charges, it is even charged me before my check in!!!! i didn't take anything from the mini bar and drink, eat anything. i woke up and go outsides...i didn't spend much time except sleep in hotel....it is a little bit disappointed..... may be i will try to choose another hotels in my next trip.

We were a big family of 10 persons with 2 young children. Our first time in Barcelona, check-in went smoothly, staff were friendly and we slept comfortably. Location perfect. Parallel to Placa Catalunya, the street that leads to La Rambla. Also, a walking strip with all the restaurants and bars nearby. Shopping next to hotel. Wish we had booked this hotel again upon our return to Barcelona but it was already fully-booked. Instead, ended up in disappointing Silken Gran Havana Hotel I do not recommend.

On arrival reception couldn't find our booking which we booked through Agoda but they sorted it out very quickly and we got early check-in at 12pm normally check-in is 3pm. The hotel is quite new so the bed room is big and comfortable with big bathroom and very clean. The next morning we went for breakfast we were surprised as the food is very tasty just everything you need before you go out for the day. The location is very central to shopping area, buses and metro. Over all I will be back again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

I stayed in this hotel several years ago and greatly enjoyed my stay. upon my return to barcelona, I booked once again at Hesperia. I found it a little less inviting than my last visit. wear and tear of the years had taken its toll. however, the location in Eixample was still perfect. far away from the tourist crowds, yet walking distance to many attractions and close to public transport. one of my favorite restaurants in barcelona, cerveceria catalana, is within walking distance, as are many gay bars and restaurants

Needed a twin room under $200 on a last minute whim to meet my son in Barcelona. Hotels and apartments were scarce because of the Sonar music festival and general summer tourism. Found this 3 star hotel on TA and had to choose it out of desperation. Turned out fine and a decent location near Catalunya Square, so less than 5 min walk to the metro and 10 mins to La Rambla. Room was average, clean and had coffee. Hotel had discounted parking in nearby public lot. Easy to pull up front for unloading suitcases. Hotel has lockers for 2 euro to leave your suitcases after you check out if you need to finish sightseeing, change hotels, etc. Best of all, staff was super nice and helpful.

This hotel was the best in our 3 week stay in Europe! Great location, extremely helpful and friendly staff always willing to assist in any manner. Rooms were very clean, super comfy beds and the best shower ever. An extra bonus was the wonderful 24 hr. buffet - fresh fruits, veggies, chicken wings, breakfast items, juice, beer , wine and much more. I would definitely stay here again and can highly reccomend it to others. A real treat and good price point!

Barcelona Century Hotel is one of the cleanest, most comfortable hotels we have ever stayed in. However, if you do book this hotel, do expect that it is a minimalist hotel which provides basic needs and a good night sleep. The staffs are awesome in their assistance and will go out of their way to help you- Dario especially, helped us to draw out our destination and the train lines we should take in specific colours (for red line and blue line). Another lady at the reception recommended tasty Spanish restaurants and cafes and even helped us to make reservation (and secured 2 seats for us) when it was pretty last minute. We truely appreciate the hospitality. Not forgetting, the hot shower/bath works well and we love the water pressure. We had really good night sleeps over the past 3 nights we were checked in. Also, the location is great! It is closer to cheaper food options, and also 20mins walk to the city centre and 5-10mins walk to the train stations. We will recommend this hotel!
