Its clean and near the city center. You get a decent bed and washing facilities. A locker albeit you have to pay a euro to get the lock and key. The staff is polite and generally helpful. The kitchen is decent as is the large lounge with a couple of computers if you have a need for them. The atmosphere is a little dull and quiet which might not be everyone's cup of tea. Just make sure you arrive during there working hours otherwise you will be left frustrated as you wont be able to reach anyone at the reception.

A relatively small hostel with only three dorm bedrooms but have all the facilities you ever needed, BBH is a gem that I chanced upon. Staff (Maria) is super friendly and always helpful. All the facilities you will need, including the kitchen, dining area, TV room, reading area with books, balconies, sitting area outside the bedrooms - it surprises me that a dorm this size only houses 18 people! Location is reasonable, just next to Arc De Triomf and about 15 mins walk from Passig de Gracia. Overall an great place to stay to explore Barcelona!

Stayed for 6 nights in a double room that didn't include an ensuite, however there are 2 bathrooms both with showers in that were never a problem. On the downside, the walls were maybe a bit thin as we were awoken at 7am by talking nextdoor and felt the privacy suffered due to this. The advertised kitchen contains a microwave, kettle and fridge freezer but lacks an oven or any kitchen essentials such as a chopping board or grater etc. The fridge was used by most guests which wasn't a problem other than the one time somebody thought they would help themselves to our food that they or the hostel clearly hadn't bought. At times the room felt a little hot and suffered with only a ceiling fan and not an AC such as the ones in the hallways and lounge area that contained a TV and was a nice place to hang out to cool down. 2 bathrooms between the 12 rooms was rarely a problem and they were generally well respected as well as having a cleaner that cleaned them and our room everyday.

I stayed at the Fernando for about a week and it was an average experience. When I first arrived I was told that my request for a larger bed could not be accommodated until my 4th night stay. This was a surprise considering that I booked 3 months in advance. So for the first few days I did not bother to fully unpack which was an annoyance. I then was told 2 days later that in fact I did get a larger bed in the room that In already had. I was stunned by the miscommunication but at least I did have the bed I wanted which was comfortable. Unfortunately, I had opted for the breakfast which turned to be served only until 10 am. Considering that I was in Spain this was a surprise. Other places that I had stayed would at least be open until 11am. I did make it once and let me tell you that it was the most basic continental breakfast that you could have. Think basic bread and water with some luncheon meat. Well overpriced at the 8 Euro cost that I believe it was. There are many options in the area which are competitive in price and with much better quality . Definitely skip the breakfast. The room is small but not an issue , as I had expected that. The room came with a safe and AC which worked well but even at a low rate you could hear the fan. Fortunately I brought earplugs which helped. The bathroom had a good working shower and came with basic soap and shower gels. As the TV only has 2 English business news stations I would not use the TV but streamed content. However, the Wi-Fi worked well when it was working but everyday it had glitches and would be down at times. The hotel front staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall the experience was positive and I would recommend this place .

Location-wise, it's pretty ideal. It's located in the Barri Gotic (historic center), and there's tons of restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc. nearby and within a short walk away. Its located on a side street that branches off from a larger street so its convenient enough to get to things but the street itself is a little quieter so there's not too much noise in the room, but unfortunately we had some drunk neighbours and they make a lot of noise... Clean shared bathroom, but that's a total non-issue. The place itself only has a handful of rooms and they share three full bathrooms (each in a separate room) with an extra sink outside and there's a sink in the kitchen if it really gets that busy. I don't know how frequently it's cleaned exactly, but they were all totally spotless whenever I was in there. The woman who runs it is nice and really accommodating. In addition to giving us her personal phone number in case we ran into any difficulties.

Location is ideal as it is centrally located near to a lot of points of interest, such as the Cathedral, Picasso museum, La rambla, and lots of shops and nice little caffes, be sure to get the one with window as many do not have any windows so make sure to reserve the private rooms with bathroom and window. AC was not the best however at this time of year(May) it was not needed, enetering the summer is a must, so important to consider it. Many attractions are walking distance as early mentioned, near to the city tourbus and lots of shops and little caffes, just for those facilities I would so recommend this spot, specially as price is really affordable, hope you enjoy your Barcelona, as my fiancé and I found out, that we love it there and had a hard time leaving it, disfruta Barcelona

This is not where you want to be if you want peace and quiet it’s just off a main square with hustle / bustle till 3am sat abd 130am Sunday The room is functional clean and has its own bathroom We stayed in room 3 with a small balcony and very much enjoyed our stay It is very safe with a locked entrance then another locked door before you get into the very small reception area. Myself and 9 year old daughter felt very safe. Instructions on how to use the safe would have helped as you need a key and none of the ones we had fitted but we only saw the gentleman once when we arrived early collected keys and left our luggage which was all very smooth. Talking of which there is a fab smoothie bar just opposite and chocolatebox ice cream shop I would recommend. Good value for money hotel with all you need for a self sufficient no frills stay. I Would stay here again.

The location is great. In the the El Gotic and close to Hop On Hop Off buses. Close to Tapas and taxis are very reasonable. Did have two “Professionals” (as the thieves are called) follow us into the lobby and try to grab one of our carry ons. We believe our airport cab driver set us up and had the two guys waiting as we arrived at 1 am. We had no other theft issues in Barcelona. Great “Cafeteria” within very short walk on the same street for great breakfast.

Price is very reasonable, very clean, hotel is small, room was comfortable though with large bathroom and balcony overlooking the street. Location great, in trendy Born area steps away from Barri Gotic and metro/ bus. Had a great free snack and espresso bar in evenings. One thing to mention is that sound carries, and in morning/night, we could often hear people coming and going, doors shutting. We used sound machines to block out the noise, so it was not a problem.

the hotel is ideally situated, really... just a couple of minutes to either jaume or liceu metros... ideal for exploring the gotic quarter, and can easily make it into raval or walk down to barceloneta. we were very pleased! the only con was that there was no free wifi in the rooms; you have to pay and use it in the lobby. there was also a really unpleasant smell coming from the a/c vent in our room (maybe had something to do with the low price?). we only stayed one night so it was alright.

I love the location of the hotel the most....The location is a quick access (5mins) to a metro station and walking distance to tourist locations like the Las Ramblas, the barceloneta beach, La Boqueria market, Gothic quarter and Plaza Catalunya plus it is nearby so many restaurants and convenience store if you need to buy anything. The owner is kind, Mr. Jose Segre and his Filipino staff Mr. Bong and another man (i forgot his name) who even knocked my door on my last day to checked whether I have already woken up for my flight. I highly recommend Pension Segre when you visit Spain.

Very serviceminded and proffesional personal. We felt welcomed! High standard hotel. Newbuilt well function. Good sleep in wounderful bed after a intens day at the town. Superb breakfast! Location nearby Metro station and 5 min. walk from to airoportbusses was perfect. Just the way a hotel should be, charging your batteri between activity's. Best choose of hotel for us.

The hotel couldn't be any better in terms of location. Next to cathedral of the gotic area. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are small and outdated, single pane glass windows. No air con. The bathroom need renovating. Stuff was hanging off the wall. Always kept clean by staff. You get what you pay for I suppose. You could pay triple for a 3/4 star hotel on same location.

It was a pleasure. I would go back again. I don't like to stay in fancy hotels and would rather go to a hostal and Drassanes is that place. The bathroom was clean, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also, I liked the fact that the hostal had a locked door. I felt very safe knowing that nobody could get into the building unless they were buzzed in. The only thing, if I had to complain about something, was not having any windows in my room; however there was air conditioning. I really cannot complain since hostals are the place I like to stay at. If you prefer hotels then Drassanes is not the place.

the hotel is conveniently located. the metro is across the road from the hotel and about a 15min walk to the train station. the hotel is about a 5-10 walk to the main street. plenty of restaurant and food places around the hotel. about a 5-10 min walk to the bus stop that goes to the outlets. our room was quite large, the safe in the room was quite dated and required a key instead of the digital safes that require a pin. the room was clean and tidy. the restroom was quite dark, especially the shower area.

We loved the hotel. It was very clean and spacious. The rooms were very large and the hotel staff were friendly and informative. The location was great. For a five star hotel the price was very inexpensive for Europe. Very close to the metro. Easy to get to the hotel from the airport. Easy walking to all the points of interest. We could walk from the hotel to all the points of interest. The Barri Gotic district, Ribera and La Rambla. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. We loved Barcelona and this hotel. No regrets what so ever.

Had a great stay for four nghts in October 2015. Room was small but sufficient for two persons. Comfortable bed, aircon working, shower very nce. Had a room facing the street with a small balcony. Breakfast was sufficient and tasteful, with a small selection of rolls, croissants, meat, cheese, fruit and cereal. Also omelette one morning. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was excellent. The best thing about this place is the location, so close to everything you want and need in Central Barcelona. Definitely great value for money and would absolutely recommend it and also stay there again.

We stayed 5 days in H10 Cubik, and we've expected because of its building design. As expected, the facilities were incredibly nice. Also, their breakfast was so good. If you are in honeymoon, they give us a special dessert. It was fantastic for us and we have lots of memories in Barcelona. The location is near the Gothic quarter. However, after few days, the cleanliness of the room was little bit dirtier than before. But others were the best. We are expecting to stay there again!

This hotel is tucked just inside a small alley just off Calle Ferran, note that the google street view doesn't do it justice, this is a very busy area. People report street noise as being an issue, the bedroom we stayed in had double glazed windows and it was not so bad. Only a couple of nights on the weekend did we hear some noise at 3 or 4am when the bars in the near by plaza were closing down; but this is the nature of the area. Pros: The staff were always cheerful and welcomed you each time you arrived in. They are also helpful and offer good advice on things to do/eat, even making a restaurant reservation for us at some place near by. As mentioned above, location is great and you are paying for this here. Heaps of bars and restos near by, including a nice little cocktail bar directly opposite the entrance of the hotel (makes a good cocktail and super cheap San Mig). Plus, wandering away from C. Ferran down the alleys will yield plenty of decent cheap places to drink and eat, away from the more touristy parts. There is breakfast provided (cold cuts, bread, cereal etc.) and free wifi. Cons: Bedroom was fine and clean however the mattress was tending towards "very hard" - may be an issue for some. The let down of the room was the condition of the bathroom, needs a bit of attention. I am a guy, i can live with it, but it may freak out female travelers :) In conclusion: When I review hotels, I try to balance "what I paid vs. what I expected" and in this case I am satisfied. I have to mark down the condition a little based on the cons above, but would I stay again - yes as the Gotic area was good fun and outweighs my concerns about the bathroom (but I am not sure if my partner would agree).

going to barcelona for the first time (hopefully not the last time!) we had been searching internet for a good place te stay. because of what others were writing, we decided to choose anba bed & breakfast. our experience can only confirm what others have been saying. from the first moment, in which we were welcomed by the lady at the reception, to the moment we were to travel back home, everything has been very good. the level of service is very high - the nespresso machine, free for use by the guests, the small snacks that were on the desk... we have never experienced something like this before. the location is excellent - footing to the plaza catalunya and to the ramblas is quite possible. for further trips: the metro stops just in front of anba. the rooms: excellent, clean, spacious, trendy... and if you order breakfast, be ready for a very, very nice experience. when we go back to barcelona, we will definitely book again and we can recommend anba to everyone!

A good little hotel that was clean but basic. Staff were super friendly. The reception and halls look posher than the rooms which were a bit misleading but the rooms were fine and the maid wanted to clean our room every day!! Which is amazing but we were like, it's not needed! Only downside was there was hammering and drilling coming from inside the building which woke us up every morning. We asked at reception and they said it wasn't coming from the hotel but it certainly sounded like it was. And we were by an internal metal stairway for staff which they were banging up and down from really early every day. Other than this, great location, 10 mins from beach, 5 mins from gothic quarter, loads of cool bars and restaurants in el born and....amazing black out blinds if you like to sleep in!!!
