Ellington Excellence”
I was extremely impressed with the Ellington. It's a triumph of engineering, design, architecture and renovation. The room was a lesson in style, comfort and utility of space. It was chic, gigantic and yet friendly, laid-back and welcoming. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was excellent. The value for money incredible. The location, perfect. Next time I visit Berlin, I'll simply say to the taxi driver, "das Ellington, bitte!"

lovely hotel, great location”
had a really lovely stay at the ellington hotel, location is really good, beside shops, bars and restaurants, very easy to get around and see the tourist attractions from this hotel, express train straight from the airport to hotel, station only about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the hotel,staff very helpful in the hotel, and the bar was really nice with large glass windows looking out on to a gorgeous courtyard with plenty of tables and chairs perfect for sitting outside in the sunshine with a wine,rooms a little bit small and a bit unusual to have shower in the bedroom but very clean and the bed very comfortable, would definately return to the ellington again.

Possibly the longest hotel in Berlin”
Very centrally located in the western part of the German capital Ellington has the external American charm of the 1920s and 1930s. The largest elevator is reminiscent of store freight elevators. Long corridors and massive sone stairs must be taken into account. The layout of the room corresponds to the description, the room is bright with a comfortable bed. The street is not noisy and West Berlin's main street with everything needed is just around the corner.

Modernist Gem”
The Ellington is in a terrific and extremely convenient location with great access to public transportation, restaurants, and nightlife. The modernist interiors are extremely well done. Our suite was spacious and well equipped but could have benefited from some lounge seating.. The toilet and bath layout take some getting used to but nonetheless well equipped. Great beds and comforters added to the enjoyment. The hotel has an excellent bar and restaurant as well.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing staff”
We stumbled across this hotel whilst staying at another and instantly changed hotels. It is bright, modern and airy and perfectly situated in Berlin. Breakfast is vast and the staff both in the restaurant and at reception are professional and friendly. Housekeeping were also friendly and respectable. The gym is a great bonus.

Amazing location! ”
Everything was great from location to cleanliness (I'm very picky with cleanliness aswell) to comfortable bed. Kettle and iron aren't in the room but as soon as we called reception they were brought up. The single thing I would say is negative is that the bath tub is open onto the room which gives you no privacy (my child would run around and felt uncomfortable) - and window facing other building so others can see unless you pull blinds. Regardless of the above negative I would go back to same hotel if I'm in Berlin again .

Very decent hotel in prime location”
Great hotel and decent room in a great location for shopping and very central to connect to public transport in Berlin. In general, very decent for the price per night and absolutely nice street. It's tucked away in a side street, which is great given noise level and busy shopping area, it feels more quiet and mellow.

Amazing Place and staff”
We went to the Ellington for our wedding anniversary and the staff were so wonderful. The location is great and the hotel is gorgeous. It was our second stay here and it won't be our last.

crazy cool location!”
We stayed there for 2 nights and was literally amazed yet amused on how they utilised such an old building as a wonderful hotel. Staff was very helpful, location was great(near to U-bahn"s, shopping and eateries) Thumbs up to Ellington Hotel, and we'll be back :)

Perfect hotel with a central location!”
This is a well appointed classic Berlin hotel with super comfy beds and nice big bath tubs for taller/long legged people. The breakfast service was always very nice with personalized options such as omellets and great coffee!

Good location, clean and good size for 2 people, good water pressure for shower”
Friendly receptionist, smooth checkin and checkout. Room is not that big, only enough for 2 people. Toilet is separated from shower room. Very good water pressure for shower but the door of the shower is transparent. It can be embarrassing if you are sharing with just a normal friend. I didn't try the breakfast but I was told that it was good. Good value for money for this hotel.

Worthwhile Stay!”
Pros: location, clean/modern rooms in a historic building, a decent gym and good restaurant. Con: note shower isn’t in a separate room so if you’re sharing room no privacy when showering (fine for couples but friends might be problematic). Outside of that, I would definitely recommend as it’s a charming property.
