Nice location and comfortable room. Only complaint is the curtains do not block out the light so it is difficult to sleep passed 6am. We put the towels over them and that helped.

Good central location in Baad Tai”
There is just one guy who runs ABC Bungalows, about 10 rooms, and he does everything. Check-in was easy. He doesn't smile much and only cleans your room every three days but the rooms are clean. Good shower pressure and wifi. There is a family that lives next door and a strange older shirtless guy who looks homeless. They all walk up and down in front of the rooms during the day. As usual, beware of random soi dogs especially at night. Most will just bark and sniff you but always be aware of this in Thailand. There is a small beach only a few meters away. You can get to the other beaches within a 20 minute motorbike drive. A nice local Thai restaurant on the corner gives you huge portions of food for just 50-baht.

Nice Bungalow”
We chose ABC Bungalow as it provides satellite TV 7 location is next to the beach and it opposite from PTT gas station. The owner is also helpful as quick reply via chat.Standard Room is spacious,even the fan room ,but it's very cold at night(February). Only one problem is about bed bugs while sleeping at night and parking area for car is not so convenient.

The rooms are pretty much ok. Except for room nr.6 Which I had the pleasure to stay in. Motorbikes driving right in front of your bungalow is extremely annoying. There's a really good restaurant. Very cheap. Very good food.

Your moneys worth”
We spent 3 weeks in Koh Phangan and gotta say ABC Bungalow was a solid base for it. The owner is really down to earth and easy to talk to and knows a lot about the island. He's like the 1 man shop for activities, taxis, laundry, etc. really pleasant and goes out of his way to make sure you get what you need/want The beach next to the bungalows is actually non existant so be ready to rent a bike, the mountain roads maybe intimidating but you'll learn to love em'. To add the whole time there they were constructing expansions on the property. So get ready for those 7am hangover wake ups by a circular saw.

Simple, clean, inexpensive. Not walking distance to Thong Sala.”
Initially we were misguided by the labeling of the neighborhood for this hotel as "Thong Sala." We thought we could walk to our room from the Pier. Nope. The neighborhood is actually in "Ban Tai" -- a considerable distance from the pier. About half way between the Thong Sala and Haad Rim. Not walking distance to either. You will need a taxi or scooter to go back and forth. ABC Bungalow is right behind one of the best restaurants we found for cheap eats. 20 bath fruit shakes, 50 baht meals. Good tasting food at the Lifestyle Restaurant. Our economy room (orange walls) was in good shape. You get a padlock for the front door, which is a bit strange but does make you feel more secure when you leave it. The bed was firm, and the sheets were clean. The pillows were fine. The shower was enclosed in the unit in a side room. We could smell the sewage backflow occasionally (like most Thai island bathrooms), but the indoor bathroom also means that critters don't generally find their way inside. I appreciated the lack of mosquitos in the room and generally in this area. The front porch was nice although there wasn't much to look at except an alley. They have a convenient parking area, which you will need if you rent a scooter. You will hear the roosters crowing next door (from the restaurant). They start early and don't stop for hours... so bring earplugs. There's also a lot of traffic on the street, which isn't that far away. ABC Bungalow does not have access to the ocean. I walked all around and never good beach access until I rented a scooter and went to Haad Rim or elsewhere. So, take note that this place is not near shopping or a nice beach. It's on the main road between such places, which makes it feel somewhat hectic during rush times as people travel between the pier and Haad Rim. Noteworthy, is that ABC is conveniently across the street from a cheap gas station and 7-Eleven. The manager wasn't super friendly, but he wasn't rude either. Just meh. At least our Agoda

family-owned, not fancy and not meant to be. good basic place. i got a/c room at good price. location is north of baan tai town, so not a fancy area either. near by are convenient 7/11, family mart and tourist cothing shops. there are bars and party places if you like that. ABC is right near the beach for walking, that was the seller for me :) thank you ABC for a very nice stay!

Nice place, Great hosts”
This place was great . We really enjoyed the hosts. Very friendly and helpful. It's not everyday that you meet people like them. The bungalow itself was good. The AC and hot water were both good. The rooms were clean and had kettles for tea/coffee. A decent fridge. Anytime we needed help, the hosts were sure to be there. Location wise , it's handy to have a scooter or bike, as it's a jaunt from the town centre and nightlife. Taxi from the pier to the bungalow was the most expensive so it's worth getting a bike as soon as you get to the island. I think the taxi price was 300 baht per person . Gulp. That's a solid 3 days scooter price. All in all , the place was very enjoyable and the hosts really helped in contributing to our good time there.
