Our first impression is its privacy in terms of the hilly location very close to Layan beach and the design of villa structure that are also surrounded by green trees. Added to that unexpectedly is its flexibility - each couple of villas can be connected by opening the big sliding door; so the outdoor areas by the pools can be doubled instantly and used for big or close families’ private party...brilliant idea I think Apart from the modern external and interior design, the meticulous selection of materials, fittings, beddings and decorative surfaces augment its luxury and intents of the owner. The food menu at Akra may be called simple and common to some people, but the look and taste is second to none - my favorite is the barbecue pork ribs.

First of all, compliment to the service. The staffs were nice and friendly. We had some trouble with the room drainage and the staffs right away respond to the case. In the end, offering an upgrade to the new room. The room is quite new and cozy. The arrangement of the space inside is great with 2 connecting units, quite convenient if you are traveling with a few friends or family.

We had a 3-day very pleasant stay at Akra and felt like home. The pool villa is brand new with 2 storeys. The rooms are beautifully and luxuriously decorated with the right space for a couple. Amenities in rooms are well-equipped. Pillows and bed are so comfortable to sleep in. Living room downstair is so cozy with a separate area for pantry and a counter table to enjoy breakfast or even work later on. We didn't miss a chance to enjoy our private pool with delicious room service meal.

So expect some teething issues but it really is a wonderful choice for your stay in Phuket. Pity we could only stay one night. Was alittle apprehensive of the lack of reviews when booking but was a splendid choice. Not sure if it’s a promotional price due to newly opened or the Covid situation but very value for money for a 2 story suite with private pool! Deco and furniture in room is very nice. Location a little inaccessible so preferably with your own transport (car rental is affordable in Phuket and well worth it). However it’s near to nice quiet beaches in banana beach and bangtao beaches, a good alternative to the busy patong beach. Breakfast provided but in room service only as restaurant not yet ready. Had to pay a little extra for the floating breakfast but worth it for the grams, very hearty as well enough to last you past lunch. Little disappointed that room service wasn’t available for dinner on our stay here as unlucky chef was away for the day, would have been perfect if we could just laze around in our room the entire day. However a short distance away from the bang tao/Laguna area with the expats community for more upscale options for dining. Recommended to book here especially at these prices and support this newly built establishment! Will definitely look into this place again the next time we’re here in Phuket.

Very nice accommodation, opened late last year. Rooms are lovely and well equipped. Private pool is cleaned daily as lots of leaves from the trees. You would definitely need transportation here as its quite far from most places, and there is no restaurant at the property. Breakfast is provided. Not a place for wheelchair users as steep and just steps. Staff are really friendly and helpful, but only there during the day. Saying that, they communicate with you through WhatsApp which is useful to ask questions and order breakfast. Only downside is, they are doing building work in site, but it's not too intrusive but something to be aware of. Would recommend and will be back.

There was no one at the counter upon our arrival, waited for almost 30mins before someone came. Breakfast was delayed, was told that it will come at a certain timing but it was almost late for 45mins and thus we ended up delaying our plan for the day. Even though there was a WhatsApp group, but the reply was very slow. Location was very inaccessible, very hard to get a taxi out. However, the villa is really nice, was impressed with the interior. Love the pool and it’s clean.

The location of the hotel is isolated in the mountains. Difficult to go out by walk and find restaurants for food. The hotel basically do not have facilities and (guess even do not have kitchen). The quality of food from room service is a local restaurant standard only but charging higher prices. The floating breakfast need to add an expensive surcharge but standard food with a floating tray. Most interesting things are all the food you ordered will not have cutlery. Do you know why? You have your own cutlery in the kitchen. Feel feel to use it…..but if you are not carefully reading the small notices from the QR code order page, you may not aware that you have to pay 500THB for cleaning the kitchen. Most important is that the swimming pool is no view and facing to the back of other house. They can see you from their room…lower privacy! And there is jo sunshine during the whole day as it blocked by the houses nearby. Only 1 beach-chair, both of us can’t seat at the same time to enjoy near the pool. The chairs on the balcony is not comfortable and widely open to public. The size of the house is rather small than you have the feel from their website and photos. Besides, don’t expect that you can have early check- in as they always saying they are running full. Overall, by spending that amount of money, you may have more better options!

Location is remote so own transportation is needed to stay here. Limited facilities and breakfast starts at 8am. We had an early flight on the last day so had to forgo breakfast. The duplex is nicely furnished and pool great to swim in. Overall decent place to stay for a few nights.
