I stayed here for 15 days for a work trip and I couldn't think of a better hotel to stay in. It's quiet (i got the room at the back) but the surrounding areas are lit and filled with happening places. Every floor has different wall mural and i find it quite comforting to see identify my floor by the mural visual. The pool at the top is quite small, not for swimming but for soaking in after a hot day, while looking at saigon cityscape. Breakfast is okay, they have enough selection for me to mix and match from. The best part in my opinion is the bathroom! The bathtub is so divine and the hair dryer is the best i have ever had (even compared to 5 star hotels). Everyday after work, i always look forward to the bath time.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Cochin Zen. It's probably the stylish place in the neighborhood. We arrived earlier than the check in time and the staff was very accommodating, just like they were for the rest of our stay. Despite having limited space, the hotel has a very interesting Japanese feel to it that makes us feel very comfortable. Free access to the gym and dry sauna room on the rooftop is a bit plus as well. Best Hotel Yet In HoChiMinh”
3rd trip to HoChiMinh and probably the 6th hotel I've stayed in the city. We assume to be the general manager, David, was very hospitable and accommodating to some of our travel changes. He went above and beyond to offer us things even though our travel mishaps were by no means caused by the hotel. The other staff were also very genuine and inviting. Rooms were very clean. The bed was incredible so insanely large, it could sleep about 27 people. The breakfast was also plentiful with many selections as well as a live cooking station. The gym was nice with open air views. The sauna and steam room were great, the steam room was one of the best we have been in. All in all, the best upper mid range hotel I have come across in Asia. Would absolutely recommend.

We had a very nice stay at Cochin Zen Hotel. Thank you very much! When I booked the hotel and read the recent reviews, I was a bit queasy at first. After spending 3 nights there, I honestly cannot understand the negative reviews. Immediately upon arrival we were warmly greeted with a delicious welcome drink. We had booked a room without windows. Sure, it was a bit darker but we never felt uncomfortable at any time. The ventilation worked perfectly and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was also delicious! The only drawback: in reality the pool is a little smaller than in the pictures. There was probably a photo professional at work ;-) There were also many leaves on the roof terrace but the view was stunning! At night you can see the great skyline! The location of the hotel is also optimal for tourist purposes. In just a few minutes walk, the classic sights can be reached. In summary, we can recommend the hotel without exception!

Nice interior nicely set in guest waiting area and dining area. Relaxed clean ambience when you walk into hotel. Inside of rooms a very clean and bedding materials are of top quality and up to 4 sleeping pillows are provided for double or queen bed. Bathroom is very clean and hot water is working perfectly. Hotel provides top quality hair dryer and has iron. Bathrobe provided for 2. Up the roof top I used the sauna/steam room and spa style pool. Overall very decent for 4 star hotel that keeps the budget in place for the family. Will definitely looking at coming back if I need an accommodation in the area

The location of the hotel is excellent. Right in the centre of the city almost. Independence Palace, Notre Dame and Post Office all within walking distance. The hotel is clean, the staff are proactive and friendly. Good fire escape routes either side of guest floors. Clean room, modern bathroom and shower. The only negative for me was the breakfast or lack of. Maybe due to limited visitors, but no buffet breakfast, just a few basic items. Nonetheless, I would consider staying again.

Stayed at this cozy but efficient hotel twice on our trip and both visits were very pleasant. Our rooms, as was the rest of the hotel, were clean and very well maintained, not to mention very beautifully decorated. Staff were very professional, helpful and otherwise pleasant to deal with. We didn't have any dinners in the hotel's restaurant (there's an excellent covered food market just down the street) but their breakfast offerings were above average. The fact that it's a smaller hotel gives one a homely feeling from the moment of arrival. We can highly recommend this hotel.

I've got the city view room - but the view wasn't that good. However the room was perfectly clean, the lobby was lovely and the staff was helpful. Pool is small but clean and it was ok for my child to have fun.

Lovely lobby and dining area. We had a premium deluxe room with window. Bathrobes slippers and all toiletries were provided as well as a daily restocked free mini bar. The staff are very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The whole ambiance of the hotel is lovely with low lighting and a zen like feel to it. Definitely would stay again.

We only stayed one night att Alagon, but the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had some issues with an ATM, and they were calling banks, etc. for us which was beyond their job description. We ate lunch at the restaurant, which had awesome food. If you're staying here, you must get the vietnamese coffee and lemon ice tea. We lived off that stuff. The rooftop pool is great-- they had amazing vibes, with awesome music and delicious drinks. We would gladly come back to Alagon!

Extremely nice and staff is wonderful”
I just stayed 4 nights while waiting to get an apartment. During that time, the staff (especially Ms. Lisa) were very helpful in all things. The hotel has such a peaceful atmosphere. I selected a room with no window specifically because I often work at night and sleep in the day - it was great - pitch black and quiet all day. The pool is very small but was also clean. Breakfast is simple but good. Hotel is very easy walking distance to everything in central District 1 (bars, restaurants, tourist sites, etc.). Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Alagon Zen Hotel & Spa is a lovely hotel in the city center of HCMC. The rooms are clean, the staff very friendly and they have a very nice rooftop with a small pool where you can enjoy a drink in the sun. The location is also great where many bars and restaurants are nearby. Great value for money.
