Because the hotel is 7km from the sao beach.And 20 km from the bigest city.In An thoi you ca buy a fresh seefood in the harbord and ask the owner for cooking fantastic.Just one think not so cool whe you rent the motor bike if you take it at 18h they will charged you for a full day. That you need asking before. Wish you the best.

Its near to the beach, clean and I had a very big room (booking by Agoda was cheaper than at the Guesthouse itself). Disadvantage: The owner does not speak any english... make sure you booked your ferrytickets etc. before ;) But: There ist free Wifi, so communication is always possible by google translator - a little bit inconvenient but it always worked out ;)

Best place to make a tour around the beautiful Islands around, or take the cable car or have the feeling of the local Village. Not far by motorbike to the best beach in Phu Quoc Sao Beach, and also very interesting to have a look to the Coconut Prison. The atmosphere in the hostel is really good, the owner family so kindly, they speak english. Rooms very good equipated and beautiful views of the sea. 100% recomended

It is a guest house run as a family's business. The staffs and owner are the same family. The old lady (staff)is friendly and honest. The room is spacious and windows are fully opened by 3 sides, gives you panoramic view to the landscape far away from the hill. But the facilities are poor, it is understandable because they offer cheap price. Hard bed, no toilet paper, no drinking bottle, no making rooms during our stay (3 nights), and very important that, there is no warm shower. When we were there, it was Sept, and stormy, cold, but could not take shower, since there is no hot water. Maybe you go by the sunny season, it would be more acceptable to taking cold shower. The Sao beach is ugly, Khem beach is prohibited by Jw Marriott, small beach at the end of the alley is dirty. So basically there are no beautiful beaches around that you can access. It is basically a basic room where you just come and sleep in the nature, very natural with lots of bush of old tree by the window (that's the only thing I like). The coffee bar is big and spacious and offers beautiful scenic view. The foods cooked by the staff, are cheap and good in Vietnamese family style (rice and food). I don't care if they don't have airco, toilet paper, drinking bottle, or making room, but I would like it more if they offer warm shower. I have to wait till I fly back home just to take shower, 4 days being cold and dirty.

Superbly designed. Location, if wanting to stay in An Thoi good Few minor issues which if addressed would raise the ratings more and justify the price which at moment could be considered slightly high Hotel room had clearly visible electric cables being joined above head board. Some wallpaper peeling which for hotel of only one year was disappointing. Service in restaurant could have been slightly better as at times was quoted lengthy service times although food did arrive reasonably promptly. In four visits three dishes unavailable which was unacceptable on a fairly limited budget. Music at times far too loud especially while having breakfast. Not sure why its called a Boutique Hotel as although nice, good quality hotel it did not have a theme or niche suggesting boutique. There were clearly a few issues in restaurant for me coupled to having door access issues, on departure I had the free transit service back to the airport but was actually travelling 5km further at circa a cost of £4, I was ok to pay this additional charge but really thought considering the issues this would as a gesture been covered by the Hotel. Think this and other minor customer service skills would be beneficial for further consideration.
