Apartments in Kyoto

"I stayed at Hotel Saw for 3 weeks and then came back 4 days later and stayed for 1 week. During that time, I had my luggage stored. The Staff is very friendly helpful. Location is excellent, overall good value for money. It's more like a serviced apartment than a hotel, have a kitchen and a washing machine so it was very helpful when I couldn't eat out due to corona problems. The bath room and the toilet are separate and both are spacious. There were coffee and green tea, tea, oil and salt for cooking. Highly recommend!!!"

"The apartment is very nicely decorated with both traditional and modern touches, giving us a wonderful experience of traditional Japanese accommodation. There was also a nice space where we could relax at to watch the TV.The 2 huge double beds fit 4 of us comfortably. The dining/kitchen area was fully equipped and even had a dining table! The bathroom was also equipped with a washing machine. The apartment is located about 5-6min away from the Gojo station. The walk felt far initially, but is actually very manageable. There is a convenience store and supermarket (both 24hrs) located within 2mins walk, and there are also various eateries about 5mins away. Taxi to Kyoto station and other attractions from the apartment were extremely affordable. One suggestion, though, would be to install thicker curtains because the sun rose at about 430am and the room was brightly lit, disturbing our sleep. All in all, Mondonce exceeded our expectations and we really love our stay here!"

"The room was very spacious for 4 people (2 single beds and 2 futons.) Location was great, very close to the subway station, and within walking distance to the end of Nishiki Market and Kawaramachi street."

"Out of the 5 places I stayed in Japan, this one is the best. I wished I could have stayed longer... I love how spacious the room is as well as the bathroom, the neighborhood and the place itself is so clean and peaceful. It's a 5 minute walk from the Nijo Station, there's a near supermarket too. I really love the place."

"We visited as a family of 2 young kids and 2 adults in April 2019. The hotel is brand new, it was impeccably clean and sparkling. For us the key factor was room size: we had 2 rooms which for Japanese standards were huge, which we loved.. Kitchen and washing equipment were super useful. Breakfast was not included and is very limited, but there are 7-Eleven and Family Marts nearby, so it was not an issue. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from Takeda Station (Exit 1, I believe), only 3 stops from Kyoto Station. The area around the hotel is not buzzling at all to be honest, there is nothing around to do or see, but as our priority was room size and proximity to a Subway station, we were not too bothered. For those who are looking for a more vibrant area, then we recommend looking at other neighbourhoods in Kyoto. We'd still recommend Zen Kyoto because of the cleanliness, new facilities and the staff who were very attentive and always friendly with our kids."
