Great little stay. ”
I stayed here for three nights in late December, and although I booked a single I was upgraded to a three-bed room. The staff were great and very helpful, the cleaning lady was a sweet heart. The place was clean and tidy. The room itself was clean, bright, the beds were comfy, and there were all the expected amenities. The location was good, but a little away from the centre, still only a short walk. I went as a lone female traveller and felt safe in the area and hotel , even on New Years eve.

Great bathroom with shower/bath. Plenty of hot water. Room lovely and warm. Perfect base for 3 day stay. Please note parking is on street but only £4/day with parking permits available at desk

The Argyll Guest house was very clean and in a good location however there is an internal problem of noise running through the piping/heating system, this kept me awake in the early hours of the morning. I tried to discuss this with Reception but felt I was fobbed off.

Quality and Location”
Our stay in Glasgow was short, but made complete by the staff and location of the Argyll Guest House. The room was large, very clean, and just right for our family. I would recommend without reservation for anyone needing to stay near the museums or the university. Really enjoyed the guest house. Staff was exceptionally informative and friendly. Among the best staffs we enjoyed during a three week stay in the UK.

My daughter and I stayed for a few days. We were actually returning hotel guests and I will recommend this hotel to travellers in Glasgow. Very strategically located,,, good and reasonably priced breakfast...very courteous and helpful staff!

Central and affordable”
We arrived quite late in the evening, but were greated cordially and got advice where to get some warm food. During the whole week we were well cared for, especially the cleaning ladies were always friendly and helpful. The room was in the basement, but had some sun. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway, but enjoyed the central location, buses (and even the airport bus) are leaving just in front of the hotel - there are lots of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and bars in the vicinity. We enjoyed the stay and will come back.

Great location”
Great location, easy walking distance to town centre. Room was clean and a good size. I think some people would find it difficult to negotiate the stair with cases as to get to our room we had to go down one narrow staircase and virtually back up a second narrow stair case. The worst thing was that, as another reviewer pointed out, the shower was just a dribble, but if you have no problems with having a bath then that seem OK. Found a great restaurant called the Ox and Finch about a block away that served the best meals (not cheap but worth every cent).

The room was clean and of good value. Not a luxury accommodation, but great location, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the hotel and the guesthouse. We preferred the larger sized room in the guesthouse.

Was a bit nervous as to how hotel would be.But as soon as we got to reception my fears melted away,especially reception lady called Rae.She was extremelly helpful.Very clean and cosy room with a newly refurbished shower room.Thanks for a lovely stay.

Very clean and comfortable, staff very nice. The only drawback for me was the stairs down one lot and then up another to get to my room. Stairs are quite steep and with no one to help with luggage it was a bit of a problem for me.

We enjoyed our stay. Although the room was small but it was comfortable the Bathroom was good as new. Walking distance to the city centre for shopping and food, and places of interests and bus stops.

Great location in West End near University ”
Nice location, small but clean rooms. Breakfast not included with room and breakfast is over priced. If you get there early don’t expect to check in early.
