The best end to our trip in Thailand ”
Awa was more on the expensive side for our budget, but we treated ourselves for a few nights at the end of our trip in Koh Chang. We absolutely loved it there, great location and right amongst all of the restaurants, shops and buzz of Kai Bae, amazing swimming pool, great sunsets and beautifully clean and modern room with the biggest bathroom! I just wish we could have stayed longer 😀

A wonderful resort”
We enjoyed 3 nights at AWA in January. The hotel is lovely, the premier ocean view room was next level and it was a delight to wake up to the beautiful view. Buffet breakfast had a wide and varied variety, the 2 for 1 happy hour cocktails a delight and watching the sunset each night magical. There’s little to no beach at this resort but you can still easily swim in the ocean. The staff are all great, very warm and welcoming and eager to assist. The only downside, and at no fault of the hotel is the ignorance of some of their Russian guests, talking loudly and playing music at breakfast while everyone else is trying to relax. Perhaps the resort management can look into training their front end staff on how to deal with these problem guests in a calm and respectful manner that ensures all guests enjoy their stay. We will return this year, hopefully to a little more peace.

Lovely hotel, couple of things that would make it better”
Well worth staying here but if they had a more varied breakfast especially the western stuff that would be better. Also as is the case with most of Thailand, a maintenance schedule would be good, get those scuffed walls painted with scrubbable paint. Minor though, still full score, great place!

Lovely resort”
We stayed at Awa for 6 nights in the sea view room. The room was large and clean and of a high standard. The pool was excellent and the water soft. I think the breakfast could of had a little more choice for the western folk but this didn’t concern me to much. The staff were very helpful, polite and professional. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend without hesitation. Well Done Awa very happy customer.

go for the ocean view rooms”
I was travelling in a group of 6 expats from Bangkok. Everyone else opted for the cheapest rooms - hillside view (about 1,300 baht per night). Those rooms were perfectly nice - nothing wrong with them. I chose an ocean view room for about 1,000 baht per night more. It was worth every baht. the views of the gulf, sunset and moonset were amazing. The moonset the first morning about 5 am was worth the entire expense. The hotel is excellent. The staff are responsive and courteous. Rooms are clean and comfortable. What's not to like. The breakfast is good with a reasonable number of options. The coffee is not good. You can't have everything for the current prices, but I wish they had better coffee.

Excellent Property in a good location”
This hotel is only a couple of years old, and sticks out along a busy Kae Bae beach road as by far the most luxurious and imposing. The pool is amazing, the rooms are huge and the included breakfast is very good. Only minor complaints would be that there is no gym/fitness facilities, and the hotel itself does not face directly on to the beach (there is a concrete wall and stairs down into the sea). You can walk a couple of minutes to get to Kae bar beach though so not an issue.

Exceptional”
The place is clean and Facility is so luxury. Food is okay but I wouldn't pay money for seafood dinner buffet. Not just what we were expected. Pool is clean and fun. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again if I get a chance to travel Koh Chang next time.

Fabulous Hotel”
The rooms are really big and spacious, only thing is the lighting is a little limited. The pool is very big and well maintained however a little chilly even for Thailand. Lots of sunbeds and the direct beach access is just beautiful. Lots of choice at breakfast, all of which are super tasty. A really great standard of 4* hotel with elements of 5*!!!!

Very recommended! The private beach at the hotel is so amazing! And the swimming pool is very big and fancy. I really enjoyed my stay here. The onlh two things that we don’t like are that the room is a bit old (def not brand new) and the room with sea view doesn’t give us the view we wanted (the view from the balcony was blocked by couple of trees). But other than that, the hotel is really comfortable with so many great facilities. It’s worth the price!

Nice hotel. We stayed at the hotel for almost a week and did not have any issues. The room was clean, tidy and beautifully decorated. Only minus is that the lighting in the room is a bit too dark - this could be problematic if working from the hotel but otherwise not an issue. Wifi is good (depending on where you are located in the hotel - mountain view is known to have wifi issues but other side (main building) is fine). The pool is by far the main attraction of the hotel. Well maintained. Breakfast every morning was good and covid friendly measures were implemented (use of gloves) which was welcome. Overall, good stay in a well decorated and clean hotel. Improvements could be made with making room lighting a bit brighter and ensure wifi is consistently good across the hotel buildings.
