As the vast majority of the hotels in the Mae Rim area of Klaeng are older, Bann Baitan was the best moderately priced I could find. Very nice staff, lovely gardens, big clean rooms, Baan Baitan sits on a small lake, and the room's back balcony faces that nice view. Very little English spoken, but the staff's eagerness to please made up for it.

Bann Baitan is a great place to see this part of the coast. It has a great pool, the breakfast is cooked fresh, The restaurant in the evening was not bad either, The rooms themselves have a large double bed TV, kettle, toilet and hot shower. (the beds are a bit hard for my liking) I intend to return next year.

very clean resort some reviews say the water in the pool is green. The tiles are green so it may give it that affect. what they failed to mention was the continues water filter system running. it has beaches to the left and right of the resort but you will need a car or motorbike. breakfast was good

Happily suprised”
initially I was disappointed because I made the mistake of thinking this hotel was actually on the beach, but its on the other side of the beach road, however the hotel provide a golf-like buggy that will take you to the closest beach which is only a few minutes away, and the local beaches are really beautiful, quiet and provide excellent food at reasonable prices, the wooden bungalow we stayed at was very clean, spacious and the food provided by the resort was first-class, we'd spent all day at the local beaches and then explored further along the coastline visiting markets, temples and sea-food restaurant's, really nice part of Thailand complete opposite of Pattaya, would definitely recommend this resort !

Beautiful traditional Thai styled motel in quiet area.”
This a nice lodge/bungalow traditional Thai style motel, about 2 km before the main Laem Mae Phim beachfront area. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Food from restaurant was tasty and modestly priced. Comfortable size room with recently updated stylish bathroom. Attractive swimming pool. Flat screen TV, nice bedding and towels. Fridge in room, with 2 bottles of water. Cons: The Wi-Fi upgrades had not been completed. Had to go closer to office for connection. Toilet seat broken and not commercial grade. No hot water pot for making coffee or tea in room and no complementary coffee or tea, but coffee at restaurant is good and modestly priced. No in-room safe. I would stay here again. Light local traffic so easy to ride my motorbike to beachfront area which is similar to Cha Am, but less crowded. Beautiful view of Gulf of Thailand at beach.

Beautiful single room cabins”
we came to go scuba diving at hin ploeng. no english is spoken at the hotel but this is an area not frequented by english speaking tourists. the rooms are quite nice in single room cabins in thai style. there is a bathroom with shower, air con, tv, fridge. it is 5-10 min from undeveloped beaches and local restaurants. breakfast was good and the area was very quiet. a nice relaxing place to stay. the hotel was kind to send some items we left in the room. we will likely return.

Baan Baitan Resort”
We have stayed here 2 times before, I keep coming back as it has a great swimming pool, the restaurant ha s a good menu the prices a very reasonable. bungalows are old in Thai style. Beds are a little hard as is normal in Thailand. The rooms are a fair size with separate shower toilet rooms. A little maintenance would not go a miss. Including cleaning the light covers from bugs. The staff are friendly with little English spoken, Breakfast American style is cooked to order so nice and hot. Coffee & toast etc inc. A car is recommended here although a local bus goes up and down the road outside frequently . The area is great with good beaches to the south and shopping to the east. Will I stay here again YES

Fantastic family hotel we enjoyed our stay so much we booked a further two days, beautiful beaches only negative is the deep-green water in the swimming pool, that's the greenest water I've ever seen, we decided not to take our chances and spent all day at the local beaches!

Location”
In general a nice resort with cosy cottages. Clean room and excellent food. However, the resort is located too close to the main road with lot of noise from especially big trucks and motorbikes. Further, the location shown at the Google map is not correct. The real location is more than 3 km away along the main road from the point shown at the Google map.

Double occupancy Thai cottages”
Would recommend this hotel. Bungalows are individual and in thai style, equiped with air con and nice beds. Nice steakhouse down the road. English is not good here but still fairly easy to communicate. Breakfast is good. The grounds are nice to walk around. The pool was not useable.

Cheap - Good - A bit off beach”
We had a great stay at the resort. We only spent the nights there. Because we had a rented car, we was not forced to stay near the faboulous beach at Mae Pim. We drived around and spent the afternoons at the beach. Great area.

Stop-over”
Used the resort as a stop-over on route from Bangkok to Koh Kuud. Pak, the Resort Manager, made our stay very good. She is a very remarkable and serviceminded woman, who went out of her way to help us with whatever we needed. Close to very nice, private beach.

Nice small hotel But good place for relax ”
Small hotel nice room and have a car park for each home . I and my family love it. Good to stay but a little old and not near the beach in this hotel. So we have to go to Rim pae and suan soon not so far only 4km and swimming pool was not clean but its nice . The breakfast was eggs , bread ,bacon ,milk orange juice but it is ok .
