We stayed at CoCo Lanta during the 50year monsoon, which was unexpected. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during this crazy storm. The power went out and they were on the only resort on Klong Khong beach that had a generator, which allowed for the kitchen to stay open. They are constantly cleaning up the resort and beach every day, even during the monsoon. Because of the weather, we asked if we could stay one extra day and book a 4Island tour. The staff at the front was extremely accommodating and even helped us change our ferry tickets to Phuket and ensure a taxi would come to pick us up, free of charge. I am very happy with our stay there. The bungalows are very basic, but that's what we wanted. This is not a 4 star hotel, but if you want a relaxing place with not a ton of frills with extremely friendly staff, stay at Coco Lanta. Also their breakfast is delicious and there are really friendly beach cats.

The Alanta Villa is beautifully situated up a small road in a very quiet area of Klong Khong. The beach isn't far and the area has several shops and restaurants within walking distance if you need groceries, laundry, breakfast, etc. excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The villa has two well-appointed bathrooms and bedrooms, a large kitchen and living area and a lovely pool exclusive to the villa. The AC in the bedrooms is powerful, and the wifi is fast and reliable. The layout is beautiful and the grounds are idyllic. I was delighted with Alanta Villa and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We spent 6 days in Lanta Corner Resort and we really enjoyed our stay here. As we arrived we got cold juice and after checking in, hotel manager drived us in golf cart to our room which was already nicely cooled down and clean (they really put an effort for us to feel welcome and you really appreciate such details when you travel half day to your next destination and it's crazy hot). We ate almost every evening in Resorts Restaurant and really liked food there. Prices are really ok. Only little minus to this Resort is location and that its has no private sand beach. However, just 5 minute walk you come to the Klong Kohng Beach. Resort offers free shuttle to 7/11 supermarket (Klong Kohng and Klong Nin) from 8-17 h which means if you wanna go in a center for a dinner after 17 o clock you need to go with tuk-tuk. Owerall this is a nice, clean resort with friendly personal and perfect to relax.

My husband and I stayed at the Baan Thai Lanta Resort for 5 days in a lovely beach front villa. The property is stunning with immaculately maintained tropical gardens, a beautiful pool, and an amazing beach front location perfect for watching the evening sunset. While the beach itself is a bit rocky, it is still lovely for a swim when the tide is high and when the tide is low, it is easy enough to venture a couple of kilometers down the road to Long Beach. The resort is on Klong Kong Beach, which has a marvelous set of bars and restaurants. We found the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for- quiet and relaxed with young people and families, and lots of fun spots to grab a drink or dinner. All of the bars and restaurants are locally owned and this beach is not overly commercial, making it a really authentic, intimate beach getaway. The staff were really friendly and helpful setting up day trips for us and arranging shuttles to and from the airport. Highly recommend!

We are a couple that stayed at Pinky's Bungalows for what was originally going to be 3 nights but we ended up coming a night early. Mama Nong was more than accommodating and even though the room we had booked (Luxury Bungalow) was not yet available, Mama put us up in a Luxury Room that was cheaper but soooo nice. We had the top, front room that had a balcony view of the main road in Lanta and a view of the pool. It was the best! It was so nice that we decided not to changed to the Luxury Bungelow and just stay in our "room with a view"! Everything was so clean and well maintained. The pool area was quiet, small and relaxing. It's not a giant resort with a million snobby people queuing for breakfast, you just walk down a small hill to the restaurant for breakfast and all the women that work there are so nice and helpful. The food is good. Not amazing but perfectly satisfactory. There are so many places to eat around there that you will definitely find something delicious! IT's a short walk to Klong Khong beach but I recommend taking a short tuk tuk drive to Khlong Nin for a beautiful relaxing day on the beach. There are more secluded beaches than Khlong Nin but we prefer to have some restaurants close by so we can get beers and pad thai, and spend the whole day under an umbrella!! Can't recommend Pinky's enough!

The bamboo bungalow is very basic and we paid less for better ones. There we massive holes in the floor and lots of insects. We found what looked like fleas in our bed. The mosquito net protects from mosquitos, cockroaches (there we a few) etc but not fleas. The other rooms - in actual solid buildings - should be better. The pool is great and has a small section for younger children which was fantastic. The staff were very unfriendly and the food at the resort restaurant disappointing. The location is ok if you like Klong Khong and there's a great cheap and cheerful restaurant (Danny's or similar) on the small road leading to the Blue Andaman - recommended! We left after 2 nights to a bungalow in the much quieter and family friendlier Klong Nin beach further south.

The staff was so friendly. Perfect for evenings at khong khong beach but also Just to chill at the Hotel Pool. Breakfast was delicious and very divers but not hot. Thank you! We would come Back everytime and will recommend the Hotel to all our friends.

When booking a room for around $20/night, you expect to stay in a hole, but this place was AWESOME. After traveling for a month and a half we got pretty used to being disappointed but this was a highlight. The rooms are nice and the a/c works really well. The bathrooms and showers were fine, and the facilities were worth way more than we paid. There are 3 swimming pools, and it’s all right on a beautiful beach with the best sunset. The chill lounge bar is very bohemian with really great drinks and smoothies. You can book all your tours through them, or just step off the property and rent scooters for $3/day, and get one of the best meals at a tiny little restaurant called “Danny’s” owned and operated by shirtless Danny who is friendly and generous. The food was amazing and super cheap (40 baht). We extended our trip 2 more nights because we enjoyed it so much. We are still talking about going back.

i was pleasantly surprised by this little resort in klong khong. it's quite new and well maintained. i enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace of my bungalow.

The Lanta Lapaya Resort has a great chance to become a 4-Star-Hotel, but now it is not finished yet. There are still some working areas left and the restaurant/kitchen hasn't started, sothat we had to go into a nearby bar to get our breakfast. It was not a problem for us, but it should be mentioned here. You have to go about ten minutes to the Klong Kong Beach with many sweet bars. Swimming there is not comfortable because of the stones and the cliffs. So we always went to Klong Nin Beach by motorbike some kilometres away. I think, the resort will become better by the time, when everything will be totally finished.

originally booked in for 3 nights and extended it to 5. the room was clean and comfortable with fresh water and towels each day. everywhere around this area feels very family-run and easy going. we loved having access to the pool (swimming on klong khong beach isn't the best) and the bar in site was great. a long the beach and the road are loads of restaurants with 2 shops within seconds of your front door. there is a lovely seating area at each room which is great for relaxing and chatting to others. the owner collected us from the pier at no extra charge. would love to go back here it was the perfect way to spend a relaxing few days.

This is an amazing hotel! Guests have individual houses with open air bathrooms - showering under the stars is a fantastic experience. The room was immaculately clean, luxury toiletries are provided and plenty of towels. There's also a safe in the room which is free to use. Wifi is free in the public areas but as we'd stayed one night a few days earlier and returned because we loved it so much, we were given complimentary free wifi in the room for our entire stay, although unfortunately the down side was that the wifi was somewhat slow and unreliable. The staff are all amazingly helpful and friendly. We arrived hot and dusty from a 30 min trip from the south of the island and were presented with iced drinks on arrival. We'd just left a higher star rated hotel but were pleasantly surprised that this so called 3 star hotel far exceeded our expectations and prior experiences of 4 star hotels on the island. The hotel was quiet, and not crowded at all, with a lovely pool and restaurant area. Breakfast was really nice, but the dinner menu was somewhat limited although there are restaurants just a few minutes down the road. The location is slightly out of it - it's about 15 mins by tuktuk from the main shopping area in Saladan, and 1 mile from Klong Khong beach area where there are some restaurants. The beach is a 5 to 10 min walk and I have to say I found a 'paradise' beach just an extra 5 mins walk from there - not one person on the sandy palm tree beach! All in all, it was a great experience and I was sad to leave.

The room was spacious, location just few meters from klong khong beach, many nice bars on the beach, the area is clean, staffs are nice breakfast was ok (pancake was my fav one).. just bed was so hard..hot water doesn’t work, bathroom smells like savage..they don’t change the towel during our almost a week stay..so far we enjoy our stay

So the hotel might not be on the beach. It really doesn't matter! You can rent a scooter and drive to different beaches and around town. In fact it's the best way to travel in koh Lanta. The hotel is excellent it's even has it's own kitchen so if you like to cook it can be really fun! The staff are out of this world and the owner helped us with everything we asked her to; from booking a trip back to the airport, a scooter or a boat to a snorkeling Island.

our friends recommended this place to us and it didn't disappoint. we had a deluxe bungalow and it was lovely and big, cleaned everyday with fridge topped up with water. the breakfast was really good as well. the staff are very friendly, they took us to another beach they thought we would like and they came back to pick us up which was really nice of them as we didn't have to worry about getting back. we actually went to the same beach the next day as it was good for body boarding - I think it was klong doa which was 10 minutes in a tuk tuk. the restaurant on site does really good food we had dinner twice there. the beach is very beautiful and long lots of bars and restaurants along the way. the only thing I would say is the bigger bars take it in turns to host a beach party night - freedom bar attached to the resort had there's on a Tuesday and you could hear the Base in our room slightly but I did mange to sleep and I'm a terrible sleeper so just bare it in mind. we would definitely visit koh lanta again and stay here again as it did have a very chilled vibe which we wanted. the staff also sorted our ferry transfer back to phuket which was great.

I was here from 5/2 to 9/2.One thing I can say is that the customers are requested to pay all by cash..also the hotel..also if by the web site (Booking,Agoda)you must to show your credit card for pre booking..sure.One hotel must to have sure the choice to pay by credit card and must to have the pos machine..can not say "that is broken.."because it's not true..Anyway for the rest it was a good stay.The room with aircon was good also if from my request I ask for clean the room..but they cleaned the room..but not the toilette. .The restaurant/kitchen is good..but some international dishes are not good..same the "pasta/spaghetti"that doesn 't taste nothing..really.The garden is nice with a lot of cats..duck..and so on..that make you feel..relaxed.The staff from the bar is funny.The ladies staff from massage are very polite and friendly..especially Nam!!the beach is very beautiful and the atmosphere in the night is fantastic.So I choose this place because very relaxing..Nice stay Max

I had booked the standard room for 3 nights, but when we arrived, we changed to the beach view bungalow paying a bit more and that one was lovely, we stayed 8 nights. The standard rooms would have been too dark for my taste, offering too little privacy since it is two buildings that face each other with just a few meters distance, their big but only windows also facing each other with the path in between. The beach front and bamboo bungalows however are lovely! Everything was very clean when we arrived. There was no cleaning during our stay, but sure if we had asked for it, they would have done it. The staff was a family of women only, super friendly and lovely! A bit off the beach strip with restaurants and bars (10 mins beach walk) and therefore very calm. Not the best beach for swimming (rocky water in low tide). Breakfast okay, for dinner we went to the other restaurants cause the lighting in this retreat is not very cozy (neon lights) but I heard the food is good.

We initially booked this place for two nights, thinking it wasn't expensive and ideally located in the middle of Lanta. When we saw the bungalow, we immediately booked two more nights and then two more nights and then booked 6 more nights. We've been travelling for 3 months and this was by far the best value for your money. It's clean, the bungalows are recent builds, the staff is very helpful and efficient. The owner and his wife were super accommodating and helped us with what ever we needed. We rented the scooters almost everyday and didn't have any issues. Don't miss out on this little slice of heaven.

We really enjoyed staying at the Emerald. It is located right by the Klong Khong beach, which is a bit rocky, but at high tide, swimming is no problem. The beach itself is beautiful, with restaurants and massage places along the coast. The pool area is ok but can be crowded. Breakfast is ok. We loved having dinner at the hotel restaurant, great food and lovely view, placed right by the beach. The restaurant service is neither good or bad (at bit "manana")but ok. The bar beside the restaurant plays great music. The people working at the hotel are nice. Room standards are ok but we had ants in the room (no big issue though).

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunanta. The bungalow was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, with good air-con and fan. The terrace/balcony overlooks a lovely little garden and the other bungalows (8 in total, so nice and quiet), and is set back from the main road, off a little dirt road that goes from the road to the beach. Some of the other bungalows had another terrace at the back facing towards the beach and sea - ours didn’t, but did have an extra room that faced that way - no furniture in there though. Perhaps for families if they added a bed? The owners/staff there are really nice, and organised scooter hire for us, although unfortunately couldn't find us semi-autos - they're a little hard to come by on the island it seems. It was nice not to have to leave passports or licence with them as a deposit. Everyone always ready with a smile, and kept the place clean and tidy. It's well placed at the end of Khlong Khong Beach, and an easy walk to some great food/bars.

The place is nice and clean and the owner with his family are very friendly. There are very good restaurants at the beach nearby. Also, there is a pool and a restaurant 100m up the small hill, witch the guests can use. The place is little remote to the rest of Klong Khong but it's a 10min walk so It's not a big problem. I would definitely recommend it.

The room was super clean. The couple that run this resort are very kind. Both of them are always ready to lend a hand or to answer any questions you may have. Although their English isnt the best they always worked out what was being said.

This was nice and easygoing place to stay, and ended up staying longer than booked for. Pool was not huge, but enough for couple strokes. Pool was also plased so that u can see the sea and beach. Included breakfast was enough for me, toast, eggs cofee and juice. Food in restaurant was generally good. Massage was on the beach side and i had one of the best ones yet here, i recomend. We had bungalow with fan, and it was nice and cousy, no bugs like in some others we stayd at.

Sea sand sun is a fantastic little beach bungalow resort. The beach is 5 metres from the closest bungalow and not hidden behind a bar, sun loungers or restaurants like some resorts on the same beach. The rooms are clean and functional, with a decent size bathroom. Great value for money, although I will see we stayed in low season, although the prices are still comparable in high season. Location is also good, it's a 5-10 minute walk to the many shops and restaurants on the road that runs parallel with the beach. The swimming pool is also nice, and a bit bigger than the other ones we saw on khlong khong beach. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they literally couldn't do enough for us during our near 2 week stay, from providing umbrellas when it rained, change of towels any time we needed, all the coffee I could drink and booking any transport we needed, they even only charged us for one days scooter use when we had for 3 days. The gardens are also nice and very well tended. One very minor gripe, the breakfast is not really worth the additional charge, and does not compare well with other buffet breakfasts I've had in Thailand. Overall though I would recommend sea sand sun to anyone and will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Lanta.

We enjoyed our trip there a lot. The staff was extremly friendly and the bungalows are directly at the beach. Our bungalow was very simple but nice and cheap. There are a lot of good restautants nearby. The time we have been there the 7/11 was closed and the next one was pretty far away. But that was the only thing we didn`t like. We can definitely recommend staying there.

It was almost as we arrived at Peace Lanta Hotel we extended our stay by a week. The rooms are so clean and comfortable, and the location of the hotel is a 30 second walk to Danny's (best pad thai and fried rice in Koh Lanta), a 7/11 and all other neccesities, and 2 minute walk to the beach. Despite how perfect and affordable the hotel is, the real winner for us was the owner, his wife and the staff. They are the most welcoming and hospitable people we have met along our travels. They often invite you to eat meals with them, or play cards or a game of pool. The owner also gives the best service and prices on island tours or ferries to other Islands. He also let's you know the best spots to visit on a scooter (which you hire from the hotel). The atmosphere is so welcoming and perfect for any kind of traveller, young and old. I would recommend this place to anyone and we'll definitely be back. Thank you Won and Peace Lanta Mansion.

We stayed here for 3 nights after taking in a week of quiet jungle time. It's so close to Klong Khong Beach you can smell the ocean in the air. This beach is more of the party zone rather than fancy villas/resorts like other beaches, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a specific good time. We stayed in an air con bungalow, was not the Ritz but did it's job well for us. Right next to the bungalow was a communal kitchen for 24 hour use to guests, with markets and stores within walking distance to buy your own food for cooking. They offered scooter rentals, we had major problems with that. The company they rented through gave us a scooter with a bad wheel (the wheel had a spoke that kept puncturing the o-ring, hence flat tire two times in a row.) We wound up leaving the scooter parked on the side of the road and walked back to the property and handed in the keys the same day we rented the scooter. They were kind enough to take care of everything, despite the contract we signed saying that we were responsible for anything with the scooter. They refunded us the $250 baht we payed to rent it, plus what we payed ourselves to get the tire fixed the first time it happened (150 baht) They didn't have to do that, but they did and that was very kind of them during extreme circumstances. It seemed like everyone else riding scooters there were not having issues, so I think we were just having unfortunate luck. For the price (so much cheaper than far far worse options out there) is worth the stay. If you stay away from restaurants on the beach, you can find cheaper better ones just down the road from this property of the main drag. Great location if this is the area of videos you're looking for. (FlinStoned Bar is a 5 minute walk away down the beach, didn't go for the cocktails on the menu ;) Also, this property offers all sorts of tours and good prices, taxi service, destination out of Koh Lanta... Might be worth going through them and save yourself a few doll

This ist one of the most beautiful stays I’ve been in Thailand. It is right at the beach, you got nice bungalows if you rent one with aircondition you can have one next to the ocean with hammock and it’s just perfect. The best about it are the lovely staff girls that helped me with everything. Best staff ever! I loved to spend my time there! Totally recommend it

I stayed here for 5 nights with my partner in Januari. As budget travellers we choose the cheapest bungalow. It was ok, I mean, you get what you pay for and in Koh Lanta this was one of the cheapest places that had access to the beach. So yes, location wise this place is great. But I wouldn't recommend you going here if you plan to spend a lot of time indoors (the room was pretty dark and we found a few cockroaches). But you definitely won't want to stay inside anyway. Khong klong beach is perfect for a day or so, morning swim etc but for a full day on the beach I'd recommend you renting a scooter (200bath/day) and go to some of the other beaches on the island.

I've stayed at Sonya 3 times now and it's better than ever! They have very comfortable (and affordable) concrete little "houses" (I don't want to say bungalow cause they're nicer than that), and absolutely amazing food and smoothies in their restaurant. Location is fantastic as you can walk 1 minute to Monkey Bar or any of the other beach bars and restaurants on Klong Khong Beach. I always rent my motorbike from them as well, and have never had an issue (which I hear is common on Koh Lanta with bike rental places). I will definitely be staying again next time I visit Lanta, as I think they're the best value for money and I always have a fantastic time here. The only suggestion -- the rooms do get very hot because of the sun since they're just little houses -- totally worth it to spend the few extra bucks and get an AC room. Otherwise, just make sure you open the windows during the day to let the hot air out and you can comfortably sleep with the fan. Thanks for a great stay!
