What a beautiful place”
Stayed in one of the bungalows overlooking the beach and what an amazing view! the room was great (could do with a little more lighting) but bed was large and very comfortable. The pool is really nice and over all has a lovely vibe being high up the side of the mountain. would definitely recommend as a great value for money place. Thanks for having us!

Would re-book without even considering other options”
Everyone here was sweet as can be and the location and views are gorgeous. Unfortunately it was closed during my last trip (most hotels were, for covid). I hope to see them re-open and will look to book here before anywhere else every time.

Exceptional”
Loved the pool, loved the location right on the beach, loved the late-night fire show right next door at Why-Not bar, loved the food at the water-front resort restaurant just a short walk down the beach (pricey but worth it!). Great experience! Just remember that its more of a cabin style, with open crevices/doors/windows! Dont leave food in your room AT ALL unless you want to come home to an army of ants!

Great area in Lanta”
This bay is very cozy, quiet and still you have some shops and many restaurants around. Our bungalow was nice, thought stairs require some attention. Breakfast was good, not buffet but more than enough. Friendly staff. Pool area is not so great, a lot of shadow and water in the pool was cold. But when you have great beach 100 m away who cares :)

Great value for your money!!! It is a bit dated in the bungalows. The staff is not good at english, but they were really helpful and kind. Simple but good breakfast. This was our second stay at Baan Lanta and we would love to comeback back again. Expect to see monkies at your balcony :)

good beach front bungalows”
The Kantiang Bay is one of the best beaches with pleasant village infrastuctur in Koh Lanta. The Baan Laanta Resort is perfectly at beach front and also offers a nice little pool. The crew is really friendly!

Excellent staff, good hotel, miserable breakfast”
To start with the fotos of the hotel are showing well what you get for your money: a nice old style house which looks really fine from ourside. The pool is magnificent and the overall location is really good. The view to the ocean and food selection in the vicinity also good. Kantiang beach is one of the best beaches in the proximity on the whole of Koh Lanta. Nui Beach is reachable on food in around 15 minutes. All the beaches to the north of Kantian were too flat for me, i.e. without any mountains and perhaps also too crowded. What I didn't like: 1) Even though the rooms are of wood, many thanks did not really work: TV, water boiler and safe were all not working. The good thing about the staff: they did really resolve all these problems by buying really articles. It would be perfect however to check in advance. Well, this point is not really critical. 2) The breakfast is a catastrophy: you get a menu with a select of 4 or 5 sets - all of them really very miserable for Thailand.

Worst bed we had in 3 weeks in Bali and Thailand. But the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The view and the pool were spectacular.

One of the best locations in Kantiang Bay”
I have been to Kantiang on Koh Lanta several times and have stayed in a number of different resorts. Generally I find resorts in this area to be of a very high standard. This was my first time to stay at Baan Laanta and it did not disappoint. I loved the accommodation with the views to the beach and the staff were always very helpful and friendly. I would certainly consider staying here again on another occasion.

Mix feeling”
We booked this hotel from pictures showing very nice villa from an architectural point of view. And we were not disappointed. The villas were of thai old style wooden type and were very pleasant. Now the staffs were not all nice, breakfast was not great (although i did enjoy the coffee), and it needed some obvious refurbishment. The pool was nice, but very crowded with no rules: so people were swimming with clothes, and until very late (very noisy). Location was great, near a quiet and nice beach and s couple of restaurants and bars. Nice to have a seven eleven at walking distance. So mix feeling cause we had a great time but it could have been better

Too many stairs. Dark and unwelcoming rooms. Strange position of bed. Fridge had not been defrosted for years! Poor breakfast. Looked for alternative accommodation. Good air conditioning. No hot water for a shower.

Stayed here for one night. The photos online aren’t representative of the condition now. Hotel very dated and in need of several repairs. Paid for breakfast but nothing provided. Other accommodation probably a better option.

Not for kids”
We checked out immediately after seeing the room. We had booked for two adults and three children and got a bungalow about 3meters up from poolarea with lots of steps, no secure fence and a door which was not possible to close so under no circumstances would we have slept here with children! There were dirty madrasses on the floor and some kind of animal had been in the bathroom leaving traces no one had cleaned up. The green area was nice and the beach close. But sadly the room was not secure or hygenic for family, absolutely not!

Worst hotel in Thailand”
The staff were not friendly . Our first room nothing worked, tv,fridge, air con and the safe, also the door could be pushed open when locked. When i got reception to view the problems they laughed and said they could do nothing. I demanded another room. The second room wasn't any better except the fridge and tv worked. We had to take our vaulables out to eat with us, due to the door not locking safely. The rooms and the resort were filthly, breakfast was terrible, staff unfriendly, we left everything and ate in the village. The best part of the stay was leaving the next day for the village resort up the road which was alot nicer.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location”
It is a beautifully decorated hotel, very Thai, very warming interior. If you are up for a chillout stay in Koh Lanta, don't miss Baan Laanta. The restaurant and bar are next to Ba Kan Tieng beach. I went to Koh Lanta in May, a low season. The beach was almost empty. I enjoyed taking photos and strolling along the beach. At the other end of the beach is a five star hotel. There was a wedding on my last day of staying. They played fireworks shows at night. It was brilliant. There are also nice bars, including the famous Why Not bar, on the beach. The only shortcoming is there is no wifi in the room. You will have to come to the lobby for using internet.
