Homey place with friendly staff. ”
Situated in a walking distance from the floating market, the place is quite tranquil with lovely ambience and homey atmosphere. The house itself looks like a heritage, full of chique decoration. Staff (probably owner) auntie and uncle are inviting with beautiful smiles and useful advice on how to get around. Breakfast is tasty, filling with full energy. The room is tiny but roomy enough with shared bathroom. The whole area can bring back golden memories from my youth. I do love the place.

Sweet heaven away from Bangkok”
it was one of a kind. We came in very very late - 2AM because of delay at the immigration at Don Muang Airport but they were very accommodating to still welcome us with a smile. I didnt realize that Amphawa was completely opposite of Bangkok. The whole place was very quiet and there were no more establishments open at that particular hour, i guess there's not much night life in Amphawa, thus i was even more thankful for the staff's consideration to still open their doors for us. The whole place was both big and small - big because the land area was big for a house but small because the rooms were small and the ceiling was low. i also liked the feel of the homestay because they're truly a homestay. I really felt at home and the whole place was a real home. our breakfast was free, it was simple and tasty. I liked the appetizer very much. I dont know what it's called but it was like a fried fritter with no filling and tasted really really good. It somehow felt special also because the owners were the ones who prepared it. Our room was their cheap room - there was just 1 bed enough for 2 persons, there was AC, a small table and a wooden ladder that served as a rack for towels and clothes. The remarkable thing about baanchompoo was the whole place was very cute. Everything would make you smile and feel like "aaawwww".. cute figurines and very nice DIY stuff - old refrigerator made into plant pot organizer, thermos made into a plant pot, etc. The colors were pastel (lilac, pink) and homey (brown, green) Value for the money: Very good (for our cheap room) Location: very good, walking distance from the floating market and shuttle to bangkok (about 5 to 10 mins away) Staff: very good

Baanchompoo Homestay felt like home. The place was clean, and the couple that runs the place is helpful and friendly. It is walking distance to the floating market and half hour driving to the train market.

My stay at Baanchopoo was very nice It's family run guesthouse with very nice and helpfull people They gave me good advice about the things to visit, helped me finding a lost bag and brought me to Doemnoem Suduak and the minibus terminal. Also the complementary Kratong for the Loi Kratong festival was very nice. If i know someone who is visting Amphawa i will surely recommend them to stay at this welcoming family

Nice family run guest house ”
Stayed here with young family, the room was a large room with a king size bed, with a large attached shower room. It had all the basic amenities you could care for in a clean environment. The only set back and it’s minor was that we stayed in old house part made from teak, and persons upstairs you could hear walking around. But this we only heard at night and in morning, only a problem if lite sleeper. The hotel can be hard to miss from road as there is no big signage and parking is limited to few cars. However the big plus is that it’s a few minutes walk to floating market, the best in region. It did not disappoint. The staff we had little interaction with, but as long as you minded the rules, there is no problem. I would definitely consider staying again. My kids loved their little garden and pond area and where made to feel most welcome

Not What Expecting”
Located on a very busy road. No windows in room. Sheets were clean and new but detergent was not fully rinsed from them, and so they were weirdly itchy. Pretty chatty outside bedroom door at 7:00 AM and beyond. Host was friendly, but not sure I felt welcomed like other homestays in Thailand. Quick and simple walk to river market. No phone number posted on Agoda or other sites and so had difficulty conveying to Tuk Tuk even though there was an address.

Beautiful place, excellent staff, great stay”
My friends and I visited and stayed in the family room. It was easy to find, included a decent breakfast, and had parking and wifi. The room was very clean, everything worked well, and the wooden building had beautiful wooden paneling with exposed brick and good attention to detail. We arrived late, and the staff took us to the river (two minute walk) and arranged for us to take a firefly tour with a friend of theirs. It was a great tour, and this place was an excellent stop on our way from Bangkok toward Kaeng Krachan National Park.

A decent stay”
The Location is great because it is a short walk to the floating market. The staff seemed friendly. The price is a tad high. The bed could be cleaner, but overall, the room was clean. We did not try the breakfast because we left early. Our room was on the first floor right next to the parking area and check-in counter, but it was still quiet.

Okay up until check-out time when the proprietor tried to scam us”
The place is cute, if a little hokey. Gardens are nice, rooms are basic. Internet is spotty and slow. The lady of the house was friendly enough. Location is good, 5 minutes walk from the Amphawa floating market. I had read in other reviews the night before we checked out that the owner refuses to give guests the "key desposit" back because she says the guests dirtied the towels and she can't clean them. With this information in mind, I made sure before I checked out that our towels were not dirtied. Upon check out, the boss lady showed up, with a dirty towel in hand. It has splotches on it the color of makeup. She said we had dirtied the towels, just like the other guests said in their reviews, and that she wouldn't refund us half of our deposit. I could tell right away that this was a scam. The dirty towels were not ours. It was clearly a set up. I refused to fall for her ruse, and demanded my full deposit back. Very disappointed at this kind of treatment.

Facility ok because of nice staff”
I dont want to give this property a bad review, but just to be honest, the stay was okay because just because of the owner and the staff are really nice other than that the facility is not so good. Although the room is very clean. Its located by the road so its a bit noisy. The breakfast is terrible :-(

A short walk to the market. Big breakfast. No problem with shared bath. TV in romm (tho i didn't use it) owner was pleasant. Daughter helpful with English & WiFi. Garden was very nice to sit in.
