Find hotels near Ban Du in Chiang Rai, Thailand

the hotel consists of 15-20 small buildings, each having 2-4 rooms, disposed around the swimming pool. a night-lit running track encircles the site. the hotel is on the road to the airport, very close to it (free ride to/from), but a good distance from the city (baht ride). there is nothing of interest immediately around the hotel, so it is mainly a place to relax, or a base from which to go explore the (beautiful) region. you are going to have to rent a scooter or car to go to chiang rai, or pay 2x250 baht for the roundtrip every time you go downtown. i found chiang rai fairly boring, dead after 9pm, so i would not see any benefit to booking a hotel downtown. the "superior" room was very enjoyable: large, quiet, clean, well ventilated. the bathroom only had a shower, but that's fine with me. the safe was large enough for laptop + cameras + stuff. the breakfast buffet was the best i had during my trip to thailand. good choice and quality. the staff is friendly and tries hard to help, but some of the pretty desk ladies only have very limited english speaking skills (but a lot better than my thai).

When you go to Chiang Rai and want to stay in a hotel near the airport, C&C is the best choice for you. The price is affordable and the room is clean and large. You will feel like home. Even though not all the hotel staff can speak English, they are very nice and helpful.

Very plesently suprised by this 3 star resort, Rooms were beautiful with an amazing terrace and view of garden, stream/waterfalls (man made but very well done)runs next to every villa. We arrived arround 930pm and staff was nice enough to bring us dinner to are villa, it was probably the best meal I ate our whole vacation. Staff also arranged all activites and drove us to airport. I have already reccomended this hotel to my friends who are traveling to Chaing Rai

We checked in there for the night as we were passing by for a worktrip to go to the Chiang Rai airport early the next morning. So the location works out really well for us - the hotel staff helped us to call a taxi to go to the airport. However, the location may not be ideal if you want to explore the city. The room is nice designed with an industrial theme. There was problem with switching off a white light in the middle of the room. The staff told us that it was an emergency light (which was weird because this doesn't happen in other hotels and another friend who slept in another room did not have this problem). Anyway we asked the staff to turn it off by screwing it out (switching off from the main cable box was not possible). The staff were all very helpful and friendly and appreciated their help when we checked in very late and had the problem with the light!

The Bandu Resort, as of November 2019, is under a new very committed and enthusiastic management, which will definitely improve an already very good structure. Location is excellent if you need to get to the airport as well as for daily trips in the Chiang Rai area. Not far from the city either, although very good wating/drinking options are within walking distance in the nearby streets, especially if you like to live the genuine local scene away from the tourists. Nice (salt water) pool open till evening (9pm i think). Last but not least, very good value for the cost. I'll stay here again next time I am in the Chiang Rai area. We were a little confused during check in since the payment was not made thru on line. The price thru Agoda was in dollars but front desk would not accept dollars. We also have to deposit 1000 baths for key deposit not mentioned in Agoda plus very unusual for hotel. The rooms had no hand towels or soap for sink. We had half a roll of toilet tissue. The room was not cleaned for second day of stay. No clean towels. We got up early but the second floor door was locked and could not come down stairs thru the lobby just like prison. I mentioned that to the manager but he just said he locked the door so stuff would not be stolen! Wow! We are guests not thieves. Entrance to the property is awkward as it is diagonal to the road and many cars must have scraped their cars. The positive notes are that the building is new and everything is still new. The price is too high for the location. The coffee was served early but the manager said 9 am us a normal time. If you want to accommodate guests especially thru Agoda, I would have more competitive standard. Than what they have. I’d like to see Thais do well and not fails after a few years. So use this review as you see fit.

Close to the White temple, Singha Park and an hour away from the Golden Triangle. The hotel is close to some of the department stores and shopping malls. Its best to stay here if you have a car. Availability of other kinds of transport seemed difficult. The place was small but clean. Always full during winter holidays. Not much option for food available. There are many good places around town for food. They have skeletal staff, mainly family members with limited English skills, but are helpful and ready to accommodate. They messed up my booking request from Agoda but made changes to adjust which worked out fine for us.

This hotel is welcome dog.Breakfast was terrible.Difficult to get there if not have a car.Room is big and clean.I will gift this hotel is a 3 stars.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. This is a great place for kids with a very nice salt water swimming pool, swings, and grassy play area by the pool. The value for the price is really good. It was nice and quiet as well since it is back from the main road a bit. Though we were there on a Sunday night so I can't say if the area is louder on other nights.

My only complaint is there is never anyone at reception. So you have to ring them and wait. They were all very nice when we did meet them though.

We booked our stay through Agoda and were not disappointed. To stay here you really need some kind of transport as we hired a car from Chiang Rai airport and it is a bit out the way but not overly far from the Airport. We got lost a few times but in total its about 20 minutes drive from the airport, located on the side of a hill. When we arrived, it felt like a really nice atmosphere and you can feel the fresh air especially up the side of a really steep hill. Parking was no problem and the same for checking in. We were alone in the resort when we arrived and for the majority of our two night stay and that was fine with us, its the kind of resort which is chilled and relaxing and its exactly what we were after. Gotta say when we walked into our superior room...WOW!! The room itself is nice with a 4 poster bed and mosq nets..then you walk onto the balcony and all i can say is its breathtaking looking at the view!! Green hills, trees and a beautiful view! like another review stated if you havent got time to stay up the side of a mountain its defo the next best thing. The bathroom was also great! as you walk into it you see the shower section has no roof and a small square hole which is great when your having a shower because your room is high up nobody can see in but u can shower looking at the view with the fresh air around (not that you will see many people outside as its in the middle of nowhere) its hard to explain but this place just feels rustic, traditional and thai with a twist that we liked. It also has your usuals such as flat screen tv, fridge, a/c and kettle although we had no time to use any as we were off exploring. We tried the terrace restaurant as well and it was good cooking up original thai dishes and the price was reasonable although if you want to try local food your better off going back down to the main road near the airport and there is a big local food market which serves some yummy dishes. Staff are great, efficient and polite.Overall great!!

I had low expectations and was unaware that this place is further out having booked based on price. But it's an easy taxi ride (if you can get one), I ended up calling one from the Wiang hotel to pick me up, likewise they called for me in the morning. Would not suggest taking a tuk-tuk. The place itself is surprisingly nice, very clean. This is not one of those grimy backpacker joints, but the same price. As well, I was worried as I got there around 11 PM but the guard at the gate had my key waiting for me. Note on taxis, in both instances, they referred to the distance in km x 10 baht versus the actual meter total which I thought was a scam and argued. The differential was 50-60 baht so I cut down the middle and left it at that.

We made our booking for a day earlier than we arrived - no problem, they just extended it for another day. The owner's came and met us and had a drink with us. Very friendly and helpful. Only minor hassle is the cost of a taxi from the city. About 100baht.

The room had cockroaches and the sheets had cigarette holes. The mattress was hardest I have found. Good price but not good value.

This hotel is not very big but who cares. If you are looking for a modern decoration with full option of technology. This hotel is not your choice. This hotel is for a natural lover, who needs a quiet place to relax. However this hotel location is not far from the downtown. So the travellers are able to go to some where else very easily.

The hotel provides us with clean room having comfortable large size bed and bathroom at affordable rate. The hotel owner has a good command of English. Hence, you'll never get into trouble even if you're not able to communicate in Thai language. Traveling by car is recommended, though...

The hotel is like a service apartment. it is very clean and easy to find. It is only 5-10 Kilometres from ChiangRai Airport. However you can not trust Google navigation. Beware, there are few parking lot. There are many local foods around the accommodation.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay and if you want to stay on the outskirts of the city. Situated on the north side of the Chiang Rai, near the airport. It was one of the quietest and cleanest places I have ever stayed in Thailand. The room was spotless, smelled fresh, and clean. The bathroom was immaculate too. Soap/shampoo from a dispenser and two towels provided. No coffee making facilities in the room, free in the restaurant. Flat screen TV with 60 channels six in English. Small fridge with two bottles of complementary water two glasses provided, toilet roll and AC. The bed wasn’t the softest but not the hardest bed I have slept on in Thailand All the rooms on the three floors face the pool, divided into four sections. A pool for children with mushroom water fountains and depictions of characters from the film ‘Nemo’ on the bottom, splash pool for water chutes/slides and deep plunge pool as well as 1.5-metre pool for swimming. The pool wasn’t immaculate but very clean. Ample parking and security guard on duty throughout the night. Opposite the entrance, the shop sells ice, beer and snacks, which we took to the restaurant area. Food in the restaurant limited, but no objection as in most places in Thailand made if you to bring your own food in to eat, many food outlets on the main road with food market and usual 7/11. Friendly staff with no English We will definitely stay again

We had a big room and everything worked and was clean. We were not disappointed. We were 3 adults with small baby, so a difficult family to keep happy. We had our breakfast delivered to us in the morning, which was very nice. The resort is new, but it is not "half built". It is absolutely ready for guests and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Excellent 2 hour massage for 400 baht. The cabins are actually more expensive but smaller than the rooms. So that was not an option for us. There is a swimming pool, but it is surprisingly small and did not tempt me. Would we go there again? Probably, if the price stays good.

I love their room, it has the facility i need (hair dryer) and their bed is better than other place in the same rate. the location is a little bit far from the city but near the airport. It’s suitable for me bcuz i have the early morning flight and they also provided the transfer service to airport.
