My wife and I had a really good stay. The hotel staff were really friendly and attentive to our needs. You have to rent a bicycle to explore the resort. Well worth it and the hotel provides buggy service to the nearby Bang Tao beach too. The spa is a must. We had the most relaxing afternoon in the spa. The room was fantastic as well. We had the sanctuary villa and you have the option of taking a bath and shower in an outdoor shower. Your main bedroom leads right out onto the swimming pool. Room service staff were fantastic as well. The only downside is the number of mosquitoes at night so make sure you close all your doors and swimming at night is probably not a good idea unless you wish to have a face full of mosquito bites. Mosquito repellants are provided in the rooms and I recommend using them every evening or you'd have an uncomfortable night.

We stayed in Angsana Laguna during our recent second trip to Phuket. Angsana is not very far from Phuket airport and situated in not so crowded part of Phuket. Our trip started on a wonderful note when all our rooms were upgraded to pool side rooms. The staff is very polite and responsive. The rooms were excellent with a very very comfortable bed, sadly we had to get off in order to explore Phuket ;). Xana bar is amazing with good drinks and food, their burger is amazing. The swimming pool is quite unique and is spread across the resort. We also took two tours from the travel desk, very well organized (tip: Phi Phi tour is recommended on a speed boat though it's bit pricey). There are many wonderful restaurants and a late night bar near the Bang Thao beach which is a stone's throw from Angsana resort. Their is a shuttle bus which will drop you a nearby market near Angsana resorts, you can shop around for handicrafts, art, paintings etc and also satisfy your hunger at some good restaurants. The only con is that it is bit too far from Patong which is the liveliest part of Phuket. But, if you are with family and kids, you might want to avoid Patong. I totally recommend Ansana Laguna Phuket. Happy stay!!

We stayed at the Sunwing in Bang Tao for the first half of our 8-day vacation in April/May 2012 and enjoyed it thoroughly. 4 pools, plus a kids' pool with small slide, as well as a baby pool and a kids' club with daily activities. Great location on beautiful Bang Tao beach, helpful & friendly staff . . . We had a "Royal Family Studio" room with pool access, which was awesome. Kids 12 and under eat free from the kids' menu at the resort's restaurant and the food is great! The only con was the state of the sun chairs on the beach and the sun chair mafia that rents them out, but that wasn't the hotel's fault.

We just returned from our trip to Phuket, Thailand and absolutely loved everything about the Outrigger Laguna Beach Resort. The staff was amazing, the resort was clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The location was perfect for our family. The pool was a perfect temperature. We booked three excursions and were pleased with all 3 of them. The ocean was too rough to swim in but we still enjoyed the beach. The highlight of our stay was playing with Candy, the baby elephant, everyday. She is just a doll. The attentiveness of the front desk staff was incredible. They go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and it feels very genuine. The food was a bit pricey and on the busy days the service could be a bit slow. On one occasion during breakfast we had to ask for coffee three times before we got it. One evening I asked for coffee with my desert and it showed up 10 minutes after I had eaten desert and headed back to the room leaving my husband to wait for the bill. No big deal....just a bit annoying. We had originally booked the Outrigger for 4 nights and another resort for 4 nights but after going to the other resort (which has been rated one of the best) we turned around and came back to the Outrigger and rebooked with them for 4 more nights. The other one just wasn't for us and the service upon arriving was somewhat offensive. My major negative is with Agoda...while searching for a room we put in 2 adults and one child, even giving our child's age....the search came back with the room choice and we booked accordingly ( website says children under 12 free)...upon arriving, our reservation certificate never mentioned our child and we had to pay additional fees for her. While searching for hotels on Agoda , we narrowed our search to family resorts.....why the reservation never showed her is beyond me. It was not the fault of the Outrigger but of Agoda's and I hope they fix this.

Stay for five nights in a two bedroom apartment - 2x adults & 2x children (7 & 9). Ideal for children, with pool, slide, etc. Good location, close to Bang Tao town and other resorts. Great to be able to use the shuttle to to other resorts. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful. For dining, we tried Xana Beach (use shuttle), Green Leaf, Black Pepper (both accessible via Outrigger Hotel - get the shuttle, then walk along the beach), also tried Ann's Kitchen & The Corner Restaurant - all were excellent. Will definitely use LHC again.

The Hotel is located in calm area of Phuket. It would be recommended for families or couples who are interested in a relaxed holiday. Around there, not so many possibilities for party or bars. I was with my wife/baby and we found this area great, because it was not loud and not so many people on the beach (Bang Tao). Around the Hotel there is not so many restaurants in walking distance, but the hotel provides a shuttle bus to different areas of Lagune Phuket...this way it is possible to try different restaurants. The Shuttle bus works quite good, it is about every half an hour, they are circulating. Some restaurants around the hotel also provide shuttle bus service; just ask the reception of the hotel and they will take care on reservation for restaurant and organising the pick up. Breakfast is fine, but it is more "American type of food". Pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruits, cereal but not so many choices of chease and breads. Anyway, overall breakfast was fine.

We stayed 4N in the 3-bedroom villa with private pool. The size of the villa was big enough to accommodate 6 adults and 2 young children. We even cooked some light meals in the villa for the little ones. The young ones enjoyed the kids' club best. There's a hotel trsf to Bang Tao beach which is 5 min away. The entire estate is very serene. Was hoping to see more variety for the breakfast spread though.

You cant go wrong in any aspect of this resort, starting with the staff ( bow who welcomes us, Alex who was always wearing a smile, Kong from the restaurant, Tony the man behind the pool bar - one of the best pools we in any we have been to. Special reference to the housekeeping lady jane - who was always wearing a smile and ready to help keep the rooms tidy. Very graceful lady - always smiling - I will never forget that face.Its a 5-star property in its best. They have a free shuttle to their beach club which is lit almost every day of the week ( suggest you go at least by early noon to enjoy the best). Buffet breakfast was very good but not exceptional. Overall you Act classy, spent your money and you get the best value . We were the only Indians 3 days of our stay and that was new as well in a really good way - lol. Our room is a 2-bedroom loft with water view, which offered gorgeous view overlooking lagoon and the ocean, especially during sunset. I however did not give 5-star for hotel location, because the beach is not outside of our door. Instead, to go to the beach, we need to walk about 5-10 min, depending on how fast we walk. The hotel did provide a shuttle boat there though, which ran from ~8 am - 8 pm. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. However, they were trying to get us to stay in other room type at first when we booked our room 3-4 months in advance, but essentially after persisting on staying in the type of the room we booked, they gave us the room. Some other minor drawbacks for the place: quite limited food for breakfast and the room was somewhat smaller than expected. Overall, I really love the hotel and Bangtao beach, which is most peaceful compared to other beaches in Phuket, and I would definitely come back.

Definitely the best resort we have ever experienced !!! Large private pool, high-class design and huge room. We have stayed there for three days and the staffs there are all very nice. We have to arrive at midnight due to flight arrangement and there are staff waiting for us to check in. The location of the resort is great, with some restaurants and convenience store nearby. We have booked the BBQ set and the food is delicious and of great variety. Highly suggest to get a taste of thai BBQ with the different sauce provided. The room is very tidy and feel like a home. We can buy food to cook at the kitchen there. The breakfast is very nice too. A resort that we would definitely come back to stay

I was impressed with the layout of the villa. Everything was very new and top notch appliances. Pleasant plunge pool with waterfall to create the ambiance all day and nite. Delicious breakfast with asian and western choices. Ten mins walking distance to Bang Tao Beach,one of the nicest stretches of sand in Phuket,not a crowded beach. Will for sure return to the villa.

We noticed this hotel shuttle bus at Bang Tao Bang when we were in Phuket on our previous visit & looked it up for our most recent trip in November. We got a great price & were extremely pleased with our choice. The studio/apartment was great & had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable & we had lovely views of the mountains. The room was very quiet & was cleaned daily & we received water & coca cola every day too. There are a few cafes & restaurants within a few minutes walk from the hotel & also a Tesco Lotus. There is also a large weekly market. The swimming pool was really nice, with the sun on it in the morning & shady on the afternoon. Very good gym too. The staff are extremely attentive & helpful. They have a shuffle bus which takes you to all the local attractions & beaches (within reason) which was brilliant & will come & pick you up too, just give them a call. Would definitely recommend this hotel & looking forward to our next stay.

2 ~ 5 July 2016 marked one of the best experiences I have had for a long time. As a frequent traveller to exotic locations and accommodations, Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary is indeed a league of its own. One of the most valuable assets Banyan Tree is their staffs. The reception manager, therapists, room cleaning staffs, buggy drivers, and even general cleaners we meet within the vicinity of the villa, they never fail to smile and greet us. The warm gestures made my partner and I feel especially welcomed. I remember feeling under the weather on the second day of my trip that I had to visit the clinic. Upon returning to my villa, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a beautiful bouquet of flowers and got a well message from the staff members. All the staffs seemed to know that I have been feeling unwell and they will always send their warm regards whenever they see me. Such kind gestures have brought warmth to my heart. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful. We were indulging in the opulence of the villa with the gorgeous lagoon views. The place is well maintained with a touch of Balinese style we absolutely fond of. The turning down service was such a delight. Every night we were treated (with a surprise) with special elements. On the first night, our bedroom was lit with candle lights and a bottle of chilled champagne at out bedside. The second night were were introduced the romantic honey rub in the steam room. On the third night, we were treated with aromatic rose tea and dried mango. It's precisely these special and thoughtful gestures that truly set Banyan Tree worlds apart of its competitions. Banyan Tree Spa Sanctuary does not allow children below the age of 18 so it's perfect for couples who are looking to pamper themselves and romantic getaway.

I took my dad to this hotel for a very quick 2 nights from Hong Kong. The staff were friendly, the room was great, it's right on the beach and it's only 30 minutes from the airport. Bang Thao beach was pretty quiet and there's much around the hotel. This stay is best for relaxation. Overall we had a great time.

Me and my girlfriend went to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Phuket for a romantic couple of weeks - This was my surprise booking, and turned out to be the best few days of our trip. We only stayed here for 2 days on a special offer by Agoda, I wished it were more but we were limited by time. From the moment we were collected at the airport we felt like our every need was not only attended to, but anticipated. We were welcomed at the airport by a cool air conditioned sedan (great when you arrive from an hour or so queuing at immigration) and whisked away to the resort. When we turned up, my girlfriend was given a small bunch of flowers and we were both welcomed by the resort manager Jean-Christophe, served lemon grass iced tea and didn't see a single form. A golf buggy took us to one of the most secluded villas (as I requested when booking), number 21. The pool and views were amazing. The villa had two decorative ponds and the lighting was great (most lights were dimmed and comfortable), the front room had a TV and an iPod speaker system with a well stocked fridge in the kitchen, you don't have to go far to have a nice relaxing evening under the stars with some wine. Both evenings we were there, we ate in our room, the menu had a great selection of local and western foods, with a waiter who laid the table and made everything so easy. The next day we took a free shuttle bus to Laguna beach, for beach goers, this place is more than a short walk from any beaches - it's mountainous location gives it the amazing views that you can enjoy from all 2 or 3 of the resort's bars and the villas. I wish I had time to write more - One possible thing to look out for is that due to the location, the villas do have quite a bit of wildlife (insects, frogs) around, we both enjoyed this but others may not. Had the best time here and wouldn't hesitate to return if I ever ventured back to this part of the world.

I have stay for three days in may, and the villa is fantastic, the private pool is clean and nice, and villa is clean, bathroom is big. The whole villa let you feel relaxant enjoy the holiday. It close to the bang Tao beach and lotus restaurant. Better to have a car when you stay in Laguna area, the villa have garage. You'll love this villa.

We were there for our honeymoon. My husband had done some research and thought that we should rent a car during our stay. Besides, getting a taxi is expensive, its cheaper to rent a car in Phuket. The Kiri Villa, Canal 1, was our home for 7D6N. I would compliment on their housekeeping! Do get a mosquito repellent at the convenience store nearby as there's a lot of mosquitoes. We requested for the plant near the pool to be removed cause it was breeding mosquitoes, they got it done immediately. Not many Halal places around the area, you need to get out of Bang Thao for more Halal cuisines. Anywhere is convenient as long as you have a car, anyway :)

The hotel is in an excellent location, right across the street from Bang Thao Beach and 7-11 is next door for quick access to drinks and snacks. Plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby. We stayed in one of the Villa Bungalows around the pool and found the accommodation comfortable, pool was clean and the breakfast fresh and delicious. Staff were very helpful.

DTLPH is a gem located in Bang Tao. From landing at the Phuket airport, waiting at the Laguna stand, offered cold refreshing towels, being transferred in a very comfortable vehicle to the check in, all smooth and super efficient. Friendly receptionist had us checked in and fully informed about everything and within no time we were in our beautiful pool villa. It's exactly what's shown in the photos, large spacious and ideal for a big family, we were 2x adults and 2 kids 13 and 11. The private pool was superb and great for when you want some privacy or to cool down at end of day. Breakfast for villa residents was separate to rest of hotel, very good selection of food across a range and staff and chefs always go the extra mile, my eggs Benedict were fantastic. In room dining as well as the food at each restuarant on the resort was delicious and reasonably priced. Beach access super easy and pool only a few meters from beach. Lots of activities on beach or just relax whatever your preference. Staff always willing to assist with umbrellas, towels etc. sunset is a must see. Shuttle service provided for all hotels in the vicinity and 3min drive to the main town entrance and from there a few minutes walk to great restaurants, shops and local businesses. Villa market is as good as any first world supermarket and 1minute walk for hotel there's a small shopping centre with family mart, bakery and doctors rooms, money exchange and more. Depending on your preference many different restuarants on site and in town, but local Thai, seafood and Italian food usually dominate menus. Bampot restuarant is a hidden gem and must try, especially their Thai fried cauliflower ! All issues (there weren't many) were resolved quickly. Each villa gets bicycles, great to ride around the laguna and town. Overall a 5 star experience and will definitely stay there again.

Pleasant enough. it's not a luxury or four star type yet but has potential. Maybe because they're in the midst of building a new wing or simply because it's actually hotel apartments. It's a nice place to stay when you are in Laguna area

Pros: very friendly staff, good location extremely near bang thao beach. Room and resort pool are clean. Plus point that they cleaned up the pool during our stay. Cons: Expect noise from the road as resort is by the road side. Light sleepers do note. It can be quite disturbing especially when we turned in early. Not 24hr reception, do not expect hotel service. Towels replaced upon request. If these cons are not your concern, this resort is recommended.

By far the best resort in Phuket. I am a very discerning traveler as I spend over 200 nights in five star resorts around the world every year, and I would give this resort 10 out of 10 with confidence. The pictures don't really tell the story - you need to see it for yourself. I highly recommend this resort! And to the Banyan Tree staff: you've done a great job, keep it up!

Stayed as a family of 10 for 4 nights at Eden Villa and totally enjoyed our time. The villa was very nicely furnished with a good sized pool and huge TV with many satellite channels for hours of fun within the villa. Each of the 5 en-suite bedroom also came with its own satellite TV as well. The kitchen was also well-equipped which would allow you to adequately prepare your own meals. Alternatively, engage the in-house chef, Lee, for a fee, and savor the best meal on Phuket - we engaged her for 2 dinners and 1 breakfast and loved all the dishes prepared by her. Location was acceptable - around 10 minutes drive to Villa Market (a supermarket) and Bang Tao beach. But it was fairly difficult to get transport if you had not booked in advance (speak to the owner to book car/minivan) - we tried to get a Grab for a good 30 minutes but no driver was willing to accept our request. The owner was very responsive and any minor hiccups encountered during our stay was dealt with swiftly.

That were the last 4 days of our 3-week Thai journey and they were as relaxing as we need it. Hotel is located in the very south of Bang Tao beach which is pretty quiet. Hotel stands right on the beach and has its private sunbeds and umbrellas. We booked the cheapest room so didn't expect much from it. One small window above the bed, strange smell in the bathroom, lack of furniture and so on. But the room is clean and well designed in a wooden style. Breakfasts are simple but that was quite enough for us. No buffet, just ordering by the menu. The main street with restaurants, 7-11 and exchange is quite near. The only problem was buying fruits - not much of them available. Staff is very friendly and polite.

We enjoyed our stay at Pai Tan Villas. It was very quiet and Manee, the manageress was very helpful to us. We were disappointed to find we had booked a deluxe room with breakfast but breakfast was not included. Manee did offer us breakfast at a reduced rate which we had on one morning and it was quite okay. We did not have hot water, but that was not really a problem. Pai Tan Villas are well positioned not too far from the beach. Bang Thao was almost deserted at this time of year.

The Hotel is well-equipped and serviced with LCD TV and satellite feed. I had requested a non-smoking high-floor room with Sea Views and was upgraded upon check-in to a very smart large 4th Floor double-bedded room with nice balcony overlooking the pool. All mod cons, nicely fitted out and very well maintained by the most friendly staff. Short walk downstairs to the beach. Excellent pools for those who like to swim or splash in the chlorinated stuff. A separate pool for young-uns. Larger of two pools has swim-up bar. Clean, well-maintained pools and facilities. This hotel is one of several lining the Bang Tao Beach front - and you have a very large choice of friendly bars and restaurants - some right on the sand where you can sit and watch the glorious sunset over the bay nursing a cold beer before dining on excellent local seafood. Prices all very modest, as one would expect. I had come to the Best Western seeking a few days' break in the sun at a beach resort for a reasonable price and got exactly what I wanted. After a couple of years away from Thailand, one forgets how very friendly and welcoming the Thai people really are and how very hospitable. You can go for the large resorts or noisy towns if you like that sort of thing, but BangTao offers a nice clean, safe beach, is reasonably quiet and mostly isolated from any Phuket 'madness' and for me, a great place to unwind! Rates were very reasonable and good value overall. Many 'wrinklies' seemed to agree!

we stayed here for 4 nights at the end of april 2012. it is an absolutely picteresque resort. were very nice and helpful. i think the only downside is the location, but even that is manageable, all tours will pick you up from there, it is about 700 baht to go to pa-tong by tuk-tuk or taxi. they tend to get a bit lost trying to find it, but they all ended up getting there. the breakfast is the best we have had, the variety of fruit is amazing - try them all!! bed was very firm and pillows high - my only other complaint - but that is fairly standard accross hotels in thailand with the pillows anyhow! if you go to fantasea - do not get the buffet - eric warned us not to, but we did anyway, and regretted it! also we booked our own tours in patong and got them much cheaper than the brochure price, we only paid a deposit to make sure they came.

We had a lovely stay at the Palm Beach Club that surpassed expectations. The booking process through Agoda was smooth and efficient. We arranged for a pick up by the hotel and the S Class was a nice touch. Bang Tao is just 25 mins from the airport making the hotel so much more accessible to weary travellers. We were happy with the courteous and knowledgeable staff at the hotel who were able to quickly answer our queries. In addition, the room was extremely well equipped extending to a fully equipped kitchen. The room was massive including a huge balcony. This hotel is great for those wanting a quiet place to chill out. Good for families too. Breakfast was included in our deal, not the best we've had but satisfactory nonetheless. The hotel spa is pricey but there are numerous alternatives in the nearby laguna area who can do pick up and drop off. The only downside is the lack of an accessible local food and shopping scene. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and spacious rooms. Best bathroom ever. Big kitchen. Wonderful for families. Book during offer period. Totally value for money.
