Great Value for Money”
I was impressed with this hostel, especially for such a low price. The bed was comfortable and the room had ensuite facilities. Staff were helpful too. Location is a bit far from Central Station but once at the hostel you are not far from bars, cafes, and shops. Nearby Kelvingrove Park is a nice walk.

Overall very good”
The rooms were spacious and kept extremely clean. Staff exceptionally helpful. Located to lots of important attractions just around the corner from Kings Cross Station. Close to many pubs, coffee shops and bars. Only recommendation would be to have access to a kettle and microwave in the dinning room area. The breakfast was also a little bit pricy considering you can get a full cooked traditional Scottish breakfast at Whetherspoons for less than 4 quid or a bacon roll and coffee at Greggs for just over 2 quid.

It was a lovely place to rest after a very tiring intercity travel. If only they can have towels and some toiletries available for free, it could have been great. Comfortable sleeping area and cheap too! Best for city tours. Thank You!

Overall good experience ”
Staff was absolutely amazing and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every morning. Bedding was clean. I did choose this place because online it said that breakfast was provided but in reality that’s not the case as they only provided it sometimes and you had to pay. Wifi was ok sometimes but other times it just wouldn’t work at all. The showers don’t have a door on them to close so water gets all over the bathroom floor and there’s nothing you can do to prevent that and people are having to walk in a puddle in the bathroom. That’s the only part I found absolutely disgusting. Everything else was good in terms of staff and cleanliness in the sleeping areas.

won't move me to working room”
The shower does not work and the wifi does not reach. I have another 6 nights to go. People leaving this morning have vacated many beds but they will not take responsibility and move me. Iam not asking for an upgrade. The accommodation is not as advertised and therefore unfit for purpose.

Cleanliness of the carpets”
It was noticeable that the carpets had not been cleaned in a while, main because I was able to spot bugs every once in a while and I slept on the lower bed and the dust took a hit on me the next morning!

Put in wrong room”
Paid for and booked a standard double and when we got there we were put in a room with a bunk bed which didn't match the pictures at all. Staff said there was nothing that could be done and they couldn't change our room. Absolute joke, we literally paid for a room we didn't get.

Terrible ”
I couldn’t get any other accommodation as I had left it late to book and the TRNSMT festival was happening in Glasgow that weekend. The receptionist was friendly and chatty. The room was a shared room with 3 bunk beds. It was a mixture of men and women. I was allocated bunk 2. I crept in in the dark so as not to disturb any other guests. The lower bed of bunk 2 looked as if it had been slept in already and rubbish (old tissues etc) were strewn around the floor. I returned to reception and was told that I was in the top bunk of that bed. I got in (the bathroom was filthy, full of toiletries and old razors - no towels or toilet paper provided) after using the bathroom and locking my valuables into the locker. A couple of hours later a very aggressive man and woman entered the room noisily, pulled back my curtain and declared I was sleeping in the woman’s bunk that she had slept in the night before- yuck! The were menacing and aggressive and I felt scared. I went into another unoccupied bunk as they ordered and lay there until around 0630-unable to sleep due to a mixture of fear, the sound of snoring and the loud coughing of another guest! I got up, told the receptionist who said he would discuss it with his manager the next day (I told him I could not stay the 2nd night that I had booked and paid for and wanted a refund) I have still not received a refund or heard anything back from this very poor hostel. Stay safe it absolutely wasn’t- grotty, poorly run and in no way recommended!

1st Good 2nd Bad”
I stayed here twice within a 3 week period. First time around I and a few other guests bought post-pub meals, ate them in the common room &, as they were such a good bunch we ended up chatting there until 3 a.m. When I went back, I again bought a takeaway meal and sat down to eat it in the common room as a few other guests were doing. On this occasion, staff rudely told us that the room ALWAYS had to be locked at midnight so we should eat our food outside in the street or on our beds. Also for the second stay, the staff said they'd lost lots of door-entry cards so most visitors couldn't have one. Guests were being told to wedge the bedroom doors open 24/7 due to the card shortage which obviously isn't a safe/secure choice.

It's only because other places are fully booked, and there is no way to book him. Basically, the bed sheets and pillowcases have not been cleaned. If there are other options, you must not book this room.
