No regrets booking at Bohol Sea Resort”
We had booked just a week before and came with little to no expectations. From the sea port, we took a tricycle ride going to the resort for PhP 300. The check-in process was smooth. We were even allowed early check-in. The room and bathroom was clean and spacious for 2. The room comes with toiletries - bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, towels, mini fridge, umbrella, safety box, hangers and hair dryer. The bathroom had hot and cold shower and glass partition to keep the floors dry during shower. The beach area wasn’t much of a sight but that’s okay. Pool was clean and well maintained. Location is a bit far from the night life and convenience stores of Alona beach but it was easy to take a tricycle ride since the resort is known. We definitely enjoyed our stay here at Bohol Sea Resort and will go back for sure.

Highly Recommend”
The best value 3 star resort in Panglao. Located about 15 mins walk from busy (crazy) Alona beach, it is nice to be away from the centre but still be close enough - you can jump on a moto for 50 pesos or tuktuk for 100 pesos to get to Alona if you don't want to walk. Best thing about Bohol Sea Resort is that it's quiet and has a great pool and restaurant area - nice to just relax and spend time there. Food is a little bit pricey but ingredients are good and servings are large. Resort is on the beach so you can watch the amazing pink Panglao sunsets there, but it is too shallow to swim. I recommend the Dive shop at the resort - I am just a snorkeler but you can join a scuba diving trip to Balicasag island that is cheaper than the snorkeling trips sold at Alona beach. Highly recommend!

Exceptional”
Great location, just a short scooter ride or tricycle away from busy Alona Beach. Very clean, spacious room. Loved the pool, especially since it was low tide so the beach wasn't great for swimming in. Very easy to organise a scooter to be dropped off and a tricycle to the sea port. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very well maintained grounds. Relaxed vibe, quiet resort.

Peace and quiet”
If you wish for a peaceful and quiet place then this is it. Very quiet even during day time. No chickens that can wake you up, nor partying and no functions. Only guests who checked in. Bungalow accomodation is very private too. Rooms are really spacious and clean. Bed linens are great. They provide new flip flops. Pool is clean with working filter. Very accomodating hotel personnel as well.

Honeymoon getaway”
Especially taking into the consideration for the price this is a great spot. It is a 100php trike ride from Alona beach and the perk of that it is quiet! They have a small private beach with hammocks, chairs and bean bags. Just be aware of low tide as that can make swimming a little hard. The perk of low tide is that you can walk along the beach to other resorts if you are tired of the food at the restaurant. The staff are all great and helpful and the poolside is nice. You can even get a massage in your room! The standard room is simple but nice and the wifi reaches the rooms. The shower is a little small and the shower curtain could be changed is the only reason for a 4 star on cleanliness but that's pretty common near the ocean.

Air con is nice and quiet, there has no entertainment nearby but there is a local store selling local breads which are cheap and delicious, really economic!!

Good hotel”
Pros: great value for your money. Has a pool. Good working ac. Clean facility. Great choices of food. Friendly staff. Close to alona beach (approx. 10 min by tricycle). Close to Tagbilaran airport. Cozy. Cons: lots of mosquitos in the evening. Beach is not great for swimming. Food is kind of expensive. Overall, it is a great place to stay in.

Very good, highly recommended ”
We had a standard double room for two nights without breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean with white linen bedding. Hot and cold shower with cable TV. Outside there is a swimming pool and access to a beach. We enjoyed the tranquil surroundings away from the busy Alona Beach area. We had a motorcycle and Alona Beach was a ten minute drive away. We will definitely go back and would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

Nice quiet resort away from Alona”
Great little resort, great staff, nice pool, loungers & shade for reading at beach & pool. The restaurant is also good. We had a bungalow room with a king bed, fridge, kettle, safe, enclosed shower, AC, very nice room. Large wrap around deck with sliding doors into the room. Another resto down the street & a little shop/bakery for sweet items, beverages & snacks. Away from the busier Alona Beach so a trike or long walk if you want more. If you want a quiet relaxing place, this is it.

Overall good resort, beach part not so great”
We loved our stay in Bohol Sea Resort, overall. It’s quiet and the staff is lovely. The room given to us was clean and well-maintained. However, there was no bidet and no separate floor drain outside shower area. The sea in front is not swimmable because it’s almost always below knee-deep. There’s a pool area that compensates for that, though, so the kids still enjoyed. The food from the restaurant is good but the menu is limited, esp, if you’re staying for more than 3 days. There’s a bakery in front of the resort, but there is nothing else. You have to go to Alona Beach for more food selections and beach experience. Tricycles act like taxis and charge 100 pesos per ride to Alona, so that’s also something to be considered.

This is the review that counts!”
If you are like you me you are currently spending too much time searching hotels in this area in hopes of finding that cheap, amazing, utopian, unicorn hotel. Just save yourself some time and stop here. If you want all the amenities and glamour of a 4-star hotel, then just suck it up pay $200 a night and book the Henann down the road. If you want to save a ton of money and spend your time at a peaceful, kind, and laidback hotel, you have found your spot. Alright, enough of the intro... Most of all the reviews are correct. The staff is awesome, the location is perfect, the bathrooms are not the best, the mattress is not the best, the dive shop is AWESOME, the restaurant is great, they could definitely use some updates, the pool is great, peaceful and quiet. Make sure to book all excursions through them. DO NOT book through a random person carrying a laminated brochure. Take advantage of the restaurant, they have great filipino food. Massage is a must here!

Excellent”
The room is spacious, great big bed and nice pillows. Room has good AC, a big fridge and cable tv. They also have good wifi. The bungalow is a good room. We also enjoyed our terrace. Nice pool and beachfront however beach has lots of broken glass maybe due to the typhoon so can't swim here. Location is about a 5 mins ride to Alona beach. Don't be fooled as the tricycle ride isn't 150pesos one way. We were told by a store staff it should only be 20 but we paid 50 pesos one way. Airport is close by maybe 15mins away. Food is a bit difficult to find at the hotel so you have to go to town. For breakfast we had to ask if they serve them and they recommended Itoys I believe who replies super late and we never were able to get any breakfast from them. Good thing there is a bakery outfront. Gavroche downtown also serves good breakfast. You can rent a scooter from the hotel. You do this at the start and don't book any tours-even from the hotel as it is overpriced and you are lured to do an ATV tour 1000 per hour on top of the 2800 pp tour fee, entrance fees food not included. Day 2 onwards we just used the scooter did tours on our own. 350per day rental if you rent for 2 days. Bring mosquito repellant and dog treats if you are staying here.

Great”
The only draw back was the lack of water pressure and the amount of hot water for showers. Other then that it's a very comfortable and laid back and the entire staff went out of there way to help you.

Quiet place with a nice staff and good food”
Pros: food tasted good and big serving, near the airport, staff is honest and would give good tips, room was clean, bed sheet and pillows looked and felt clean. Cons: a bit far from Alona and therefore far from other restos and ATM machines. The distance however shouldn't matter if what you prefer at the end of the day is some peace and quiet. You may also just rent a motorbike or hail a tricycle. There's also a bakery just across the street. The room doesn't have bidet and when you need drinking water you'd have to ask for it and walk outside to their resto because there's also no phone in the room to order room service. The shower was either hot or cold because it was just difficult to fix the temperature. It was warm when I was there though there was an AC. The fan would've helped except it wasn't working. Some towels smelled as if they were washed but just didn't dry well or dried indoors instead of under the sun. All in all, however, it was a really nice. I'd go back there.
