There is something very special about Salinda Resort. The staffs are warm, friendly, sincere, attentive and helpful. My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights at the Garden Villa. The room is big, clean, comfortable bed and nice warm layout making it relaxing even though there is construction going on next to the resort. The noise didn't affect our stay there. The resort maintains the grounds very well. Beautiful gardens and not forgetting the relaxing pool. NIce cocktails at the poolside bar. The sunset at the beach of the resort is something spectacular and not to be missed. So relaxed with the sounds of the waves at the beach and see the lovely sky. Bring your camera and take pictures of the breathtaking sunset. The breakfast buffet is delicious and good variety. Staffs are super efficient and attentive. Courteous and speak English. We truly enjoyed our stay at Salinda Resort. We want to compliment staffs Ms Ngoc at the restaurants for her good recommendation in helping us to select delicious dishes from the menu. Ms Hong, the Guest Experience Manager for her kind concern and attention when I hurt my right leg (I'm ok now. Thanks for the ice packed in the towel) and the cheerful front desk Ms Lap for suggestions made to our day tour. Not forgetting the delicious Crab House, a place not to miss if you are in Phu Quoc. Crabs there are awesome and delicious. Overall, Salinda Resort has exceeded our 5 star expectation. The staffs play a great role in making our stay such a lovely and memorable one. Thank you and we will be back if we come to Phu Quoc again. Thumbs up Salinda Resort !

this resort is almost where it needs to be. i made my reservations just a few days before i was to arrive. the only rooms they had available were very expensive. so, over two days, i kept looking for nice spots on the island, and could not find anything. then, luckily, on the night before i arrived at the island, a room popped up for around $165; a bargain compared to the same room a few days ago. i booked. everything about the hotel was very nice accept for the staff. the staff is very nice and trying very hard; however, if they want to be a 5 star or ever 4 star resort, they need more training and learn to speak basic english. i read this over and over not only on this site, but another site as well. i would not pay the prices they really want; however i would pay what i did pay. although i say the staff is trying very hard, that statement is a little misleading. the beach chairs are very close to the pool, and they have a few guys just standing around...no energy and no "pep". from the beach i ordered a beer, and it took about 30 minutes to arrive! at a real 5 star, or again 4 star resort, they are almost running with zest and enthusiasm to give you great customer service. at this resort, i would say about only 30% of the staff has that type of attitude. this, from my perspective is a management problem. they need to find people who are enthusiastic (or at least look/act the part...) and train them on high level hotel/resort customer service. if they do that,i think they can get the prices consistently they are seeking. finally, i would say the stretch of beach they have is pretty nice. i think they should invest in some water "toys" for families and individuals: tubes, snorkel stuff, sand toys etc. i did not see any of this type of stuff. oh, and i forgot to mention the food, it was very good. they give you two meals a day, for the price i paid, i thought it was a bargain! if i had paid the prices they really want, then, i would say it was just good.

After our 11 day trip through Vietnam, we couldn’t believe our luck when a chance booking brought us to the Mercure.. we literally walked through the hotel elbowing each other going 'We've done VERY well here..!'. The hotel is still new - the pool is gorgeous with a swim up bar and the beach is good. No issue getting loungers at either. The sea was calm, but they do have jellyfish signs. We only saw one (which was dead) so I don’t think they're that much of a problem and we swam several times a day with no issues. It’s shallow and you can walk out a good way before it comes up to your waist. The restaurant is good - we ate from the Vietnamese menu as the western on was twice the price. The food was always very well presented and portions very big! Breakfast is really good too - tonnes of choice and we ended up eating tonnes. For our 3 night stay, all of our food, beers, cocktails etc all came to under £90, so that was good value! The staff are good - I think we were almost the only ones there when we arrived so they were very attentive. We asked for chopsticks in the restaurant and they were pleasantly surprised I think! The hotel doesn’t organise day trips itself (yet) but the staff gave us a leaflet of local trips, and booked us onto one. We went down to the south of the island and went snorkelling and fishing. Highly recommended and cheap as $17 each. I think the operator was Johns tours (?). They pick you up at the hotel (probably a bit late as they’ll do all the other hotels in the town first as this is one of the most southern ones). The rooms were great - we had one of the bigger ones at the back of the complex, the bed was HUGE, and the bathroom great. Fab aircon, which was what you wanted after a day in the sun (note: factor 30 is NOT enough for English skin!), and we had a large balcony looking towards the sea. The weather was great - some clouds but enough sun to laze about in. It rained only once at night - so I recommend April!

My boyfriend and I were staying at a nearby resort (beach club) and needed to find somewhere to stay for our last 2 nights. We thought we would treat ourselves and we are so glad we chose Eden! Location is spot on. Staff were all great, they couldn't do enough for us. The facilities were ever so slightly tired but it was all clean and tidy and more than enough for what we needed. The pool and restaurant is a great location, right on the beach . Long beach is definitely the best beach on the island. And it's a cheap taxi to the town where there is a good night market. It's also close to airport so cheap transfers. The beach bar is great too and the Pool was clean and staff were regularly picking leaves and bugs that fell in. There was weirdly lots of staff weeding the grass areas which I didn't think was necessary. They were doing it all day the 3 days we were there- very strange! They took up most of the grass?! The weather is very hot in November so air con was very welcome in the rooms. The gardens were all well kept and they had lots of staff attending guests needs. The restaraunt is expensive compared to restaurants on the main road but it's still cheaper than England!! We had lunch twice there and it was yummy. Every night they have a cocktail night and live music. The 'band' was the same both nights we were there and they were awful! Couldn't sing to save their lives. It's entertaining so worth going for a few free cocktails. In summary, I would recommend Eden to couples/families looking for an escape from mainland vietnam.

It was just great choice for traveling Phu Quoc west side. The hotel room offers necessary for a comfortable stay. Service was amazing friendly and always helpful for us in all matters. Actually the best service I had. Also the breakfast more as good enough. In total a very good choice.

It was our 1 year anniversary and we loved our stay! The resort is nice and clean. The staff are super friendly and always smile at you. We chose Premium Delux Ocean View because it has a bathtub. I recommend this room if you like to be in the tub to relax. These rooms are located on the backside of the hotel (from the beach) so you may hear the noise from the street but it has the best view of the resort. The pool was spacious just like the pictures. We looooved it! It can be crowded during the happy hour but it was really nice to be in the pool and looking at the sunset (one of the best I've ever seen) and drink beer. Breakfast was the best!!! The coffee, pho, fresh veggies, and fruits... There were many selections, a good mix of Western and Asian cuisine, and also hot and cold. Wish there were more local food though. Thanks to Brian, Kai, and Dino for taking good care of us and recommending good places to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back there again!

This resort is not really open, not until next month. Property is beautiful, staff has some language issues but they try hard to please, what more can you ask. The rooms are very nice, book a ocean view, it's worth the extra money. Garden view is an empty lot full of construction materials. Pool is first class and big enough to swing laps, go early, 7am, before the kids get there. Breakfast is super, dinner not so. Great massage place adjacent to those resort. Will have to go back!

Pro: -clean -staff is friendly despite they cant speak fluent English but still tried their best to help us in arranging everything, including tour and taxi. - love the environment - private beach - best sunset view -separate bathtub and shower - they food taste good - quiet and private - provide free airport 2 ways transfer. Cons: - breakfast variety not much but taste good. - a bit distance from the busy area but it doesn't bother us as taking Mylin (green color taxi) or Saigon (yellow color) taxi is fairly cheap. Getting to the town cost around 50-60k dong. Overall we had a great time at Anja. Will definitely come back next time~

I didn't know what I would find, but I was very pleasantly surprised. We booked at the Green Villa, which is across the road from the resort and not on the beach. However, it was perfect for us.The grounds were lovely. It was quiet. But it was an easy walk down to the road where there were a number of restaurants. The resort also provides a golf cart shuttle from the villas to the beach-side. The location of the hotel to the town was good for us. It wouldn't have been a bad walk, though it would be on a busy road. The breakfast was extensive and typically Asian "Western", but it was good enough.

You know that feeling that you want to give more than 5 stars? This is one of those moments! Albert and Dung have created a resort where they have combined the best of Vietnamese and European style: a luxerious boutique style resort with everything that any spoiled western traveller desires. Next to the state-of-the-art pool and very comfortable, spotless and tastefully decorated rooms with kingsize bed, the personal hospitality of Dung and the staff stands out mostly. We received a very warm welcome at our arrival. And they've bended over backwards to make our stay outstanding! The delicious complimentary breakfast was served in our room. The resort is peacefully tucked away from the busy road but the beach is easily reached within a 10 minute walk. The resort opened only a few weeks ago: everything is brand new, the owners' passion is palpable and the service level excellent. If you wanna have a 5 star experience for an economic price, stay here! We would do it again in a heartbeat!

The best part of this place was the pool! The kids spent most of their time in the pool when we weren't at the beach. Beach is about a 10 min. walk. So in that case, the hotel is in a great location. Far from the main part of town, but we liked being away from the crowded areas. There are several restaurants nearby so a scooter isn't necessary unless you want to explore more. The rooms were a good size for our family. I didn't love the bathrooms (pretty much an outdoor bathroom with just a screen separating you and the outside critters!), but other than that, I would recommend this place!

Ăn sáng lúc mình đi không có buffet nhưng khách sạn có hỏi gia đình thích ăn gì thì khách sạn sẽ chuẩn bị, rất chu đáo. Có lẽ mùa cao điểm sẽ có buffet vì mình thấy có sẵn đồ buffet tại sảnh. Điểm trừ duy nhất là khoảng cách tới biển hơi xa (300 mét).

Siena Garden is one of the best things about the Long Beach area which is very touristy and the main street has lots of building work. Luckily, Siena is about a 5-10 minute drive away from all of this which is a really good thing because it's very peaceful. The mopeds the hotel provides are very good. The hotel is new - the rooms are really comfortable, big beds. They clean the rooms WELL everyday. The bathrooms outside were also quite novel. Staff are very friendly. If you're happy staying in the Long Beach area this is a great option. If you want to be somewhere really secluded, look at other places on the island - perhaps the north.

I always spend a lot of time reading Agoda reviews before picking a hotel and I have to say most of the reviews of Famiana were spot on - in a good way. This was one of my favorite hotels that I have stayed in in a long time. The hotel is part of a sister resort across the street which is right on the beach. There are several little bungalows with two rooms each here, all surrounding a big, bright and sunny pool that is nicely kept up and with flowers and trees and a river/pond with fish swimming in it that wraps around the pool. Our room was one of the 4 rooms that were raised up about a meter and there was a glass floor section in the room where you could see into the fish pond. At night it was lit up and provided my daughter a wonderful night light and something to look at when we got home. The resort itself is really relaxed, staff friendly and laid back, the pool perfect for swimming laps and for kids to play in the shallow end and the breakfast was good with a different variety of things each day. The best part is that you can use the resort across the street for free - and they have a wonderful beach, really comfy chairs, and a great pool. Overall I loved this hotel and will definitely go back some day. Only suggestion - the pool chairs are a bit uncomfortable. Oh and even though it is short and cheap taxi ride to most of the restaurants, it is not a big deal - they are spread out so no matter where you stay you will probably need a taxi at some point.

Lovely hostel with excellent and friendly staff, clean room, and nice pool. Self-laundry & complementary water is available. Their pets are as lovely as the place is. Would certainly recommend to anyone staying on Phu Quoc.

Very new hotel so the bedroom and amenities are clean and good condition, staff are very friendly and helpful and were obviously practicing their English which was great to see and gave it a nice touch to see they are trying! Swimming pool area was pleasant, bathrooms were nice and modern. Bedrooms could’ve been a bit more spacious but they were not too small. Hotel breakfast was lovely and the best we have had out of all of the hotels we have stayed in throughout Vientam.

I really recommend this place to those who don't expect five star facilities but want welcoming, peaceful and authentic place to stay. Excellent and cheap food in the restaurant. Barbecue every evening. Nice and more quiet beach than in north side of Long Beach.

Pool was good, although beach was better :D Our room was huge, nice and clean but it was next to the restaurant and we had to listen other people screams and shouts coming from the resto. There was no chef in the resto so you could'n even have a breakfast during our stay, but just behind the corner was much better and bigger hotel and you can have a super-duper breakfast there only for 100 000 VND.

nice quiet location away from the densely packed parts near the town. it is inbetween a larger resort and a development so the hotel has a gorgeous, uncrowded stretch of beach. and not too far from the airport (but you can't hear/see it at all) now that it has moved. got a free upgrade from a Superior to Beach Bungalow too which was lovely.

I arrived at 2am after my flight was delayed. Kitaro knows everyone's name who is arriving, so knew where I'm staying and was fine to do the official check in the morning. Although I just booked one night, unsure how long I would stay, the owner and the people I met made me extend and stay longer. I had great people in the room, together with the guy who just opened a restaurant next door to the hostel together with the hostel's owner. Kitaro is really a great host, he showed us around, took us to local watering holes, a karaoke bar and restaurants. His local knowledge is great and is always happy to help, going above and beyond! Everyone respects him in the town and it was always a great time being with Kitaro The hostel is close to the beach, walking distance to all pubs, bars and restaurants, scooter rental and laundry just seconds away. It's still not next to any resorts, so the atmosphere is very nice and local. It's very safe and there is always someone around the hostel or the restaurant. There is no other place I would rather stay in Phu Quoc and will be definitely coming back!

We stayed at the Davi Guest house for 2 nights and quite honestly it was amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful, Rooms are spacious and very clean!The hotel environment are not very crowded and noisy.

It was quiet good..after one night i had to change my room, they gave me the wrong bungalow the night before.. i got the room IN the "reception-house".at the first moment i thought:ok..but after..there was a second floor in the house,where the staff sleeps, and it was open to the room i sleept..so i didn't had privacy and it was light until they closed the reception every evening..that wasn't nice with other room it's a nice place to stay..

We really enjoyed our stay at Duc Anh Garden Homestay/Bungalow! The bungalow was modern, very clean and equipped with fridge & modern flat-screen TV. Bed was very comfortable, hot & cold shower worked as well as wifi. Breakfast was great and though not mentioned on agoda, it was included in the booking (pleasant surprise). The staff was friendly and caring and very helpful when it came to organizing extra wishes (e.g. a birthday cake). Modern scooters were available for rent either half or full day. In summary, we were really lucky to find such a pleasant stay still on short notice over christmas period, surely they will get more bookings once the first few reviews become available online.

I had a great stay at Emis Hotel, originally booked only 2 nights with the intention of finding another place but I liked it so much I stayed a week. The rooms are new and clean with lots of hot water and comfy, western quality beds and a great breakfast. The hotel is in a quiet area only 15 minutes away from the airport and the center of town making it easy to get to the night market and beaches but also escape the chaos and traffic of downtown. (The staff will arrange a motorbike rental to make it easy for you to get around) The thing that really sets this hotel above the rest is the service oriented staff. They really care about your stay and are attentive to every detail with lots of great advice to make the most of your holiday. My stay on Phu Quoc was so much better than it would have been if not for the staff at the Emis.

It was a pleasant stay at Giraffa. Nancy, the owner is very friendly and treat the guests like a family. It really feels like a home. She helps me to do tour and transport booking and makes delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend to stay at this place when in Phu Quoc.

Enjoy my stay and hotel. Situated with 5-10 minutes on a bike with almost everything. Staff is super friendly and a smart, always was willing to help. There are small shops with local prices, where you can buy water, coconuts and lot more. Room is nice, pool area pretty is also pretty relaxed place. Highly recommend

Location is a bit far from town area. If self driving can consider to staying this villa. Else have to calling taxi every time when go out for lunch & dinner. Near by restaurant

Receptionist girl didn't know much about Phu Quoc since most of the answers are "I don't know" =]]]. However, there is a woman - the owner of this hotel (we think so), she was very helpful and friendly, always provide us some stuff we ask. We stayed there 2 nights, the first night was good with a pool view. September is not a month for tourist thus we had our own pool haha. On the 2nd night, a heavy rain with thunder made our electricity didn't work, since the room doesn't have any window, we had to sleep in the dark, hot room. Wishing the hotel could provide us a stand-by generator (like the neighbor hotel). However, it was worth the money, recommend for student or graduate who has low budget :)

The hotel room was fine and the pool was nice. The area was not ideal as Long Beach is very congested and it is very far to get to the other beaches. In addition, the hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the main road where you will have to go for any food or drink. The hotel paid for our taxi from the airport which was a nice touch and the staff were always very friendly.
